As GWB suicides approach record,
an effort to stop jumpers

The Record [Hackensack, NJ], by Christopher Maag

Of the dead, we know so little. Their names, usually. The clothes they wore. That they lost hope, and where. Richard Elliot Stone was one of the latest; he jumped off the George Washington Bridge on July 20, just before sunset. We know he wore jeans and a black T-shirt. He was 30 years old. (Snip) At the GWB, the death toll has risen so quickly that even local advocates for suicide prevention have been caught by surprise. “For years, the average was about six people per year” who jump from the bridge, said Dale Carnhi, director of the American

Comments:
Thirteen suicides already, and the year´s not done. Not much Hope in the air, not much satisfaction with the Change wrought in lib-prog utopias such as NYC and SF?

In SF, they´re looking to install $76 million worth of netting that determined jumpers can probably climb over and drop from, and in NY/NJ they´re spending some $50 million on a taller fence for the GW Bridge, when there are plenty of other tall items nearby to jump from (the Palisades cliffs, to name just one).

At first I thought this about people who couldn´t shake their GW Bush derangement syndrome.

Amazing! Well, not really.

Nowhere in this article does the alleged journo ask WHY suicides have increased so dramatically.

Wow. You can bet had this been nine or ten years ago it would have been Bush´s fault, and that would have been the entire point of the story.

I hate these people.

Get out of the way and let Americans create

Now we find out. NJ governor Ralph Kramden was actually saving lives by closing down GWB lanes to traffic and apparently jumpers too.

If one searched, one would more than likely find that suicides began to rise after the polls closed and indicated the Marxist *astard had been elected the first time. And if one counts those in bad health, these too gave up and welcomed with open arms the Graces of Heaven. Despair at times can be a great motivator.

The rats even use the alarming rate of statistics rising to squeeze more blood out of a turnip. Picking pockets for another "we must do something about this" in their frantic attempt to waste more money in very large sums.

Jumping off the GWB is not as dangerous as it seems.

Because of glo-bull warming - - the Hudson River is now 187 feet higher than it used to be - - so a dive from the bridge barely makes a splash.

Pretty soon - - the structure will be renamed the George Washington Tunnel.

So? They´ll just find another way to kill themselves. The problem is mental illness, not the bridge. Spend millions of taxpayer dollars to address a problem that doesn´t exist.

President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

The driving issue of the 2016 election will be “competence,” and if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush runs, “he’s got a real shot” at winning, the Ohio Republican told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Tuesday. Boehner applauded Bush’s ability to “talk about Republican issues better than most anybody that we’ve got out there,” approving of his “real record of reform” as Florida’s governor from 1999 to 2007. HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals.
