California Gov. Jerry Brown, in Mexico,
Pledges to Help Young Immigrants

Wall Street Journal, by Alejandro Lazo

MEXICO CITY–Jerry Brown, California’s Democratic governor, waded into the highly partisan immigration debate, telling reporters in Mexico’s capital Tuesday evening that “whatever can be done by a mere governor” to shelter unaccompanied child immigrants, “will be done.” Mr. Brown’s pledge came after convening a meeting on the issue in Mexico City with Catholic bishops from Los Angeles, Mexico and Guatemala. Diplomats from Mexico and Guatemala also joined Mr. Brown, as did a religious leader from El Salvador. “Certainly I’d do everything I could to make sure California will do its part to shelter any young children that are in need of protection,”

I´m a native born Californian and stand to the far right of Attila the Hun. Every time Moonbeam ran for a California office I voted against him and his ilk to no avail. We few conservatives are so outnumbered by those gorging at the public trough that we do not stand a chance. We are truly the un-represented with regard to taxation without representation at the local, state and federal levels of government, and we have to foot the bill for the cupidity of those who bear the responsibility to serve us. It is totally insane!

All that matters to the CA Dem Party is to hold permanent power in Sacramento in perpetuity, which they pretty much hold now. The way to ensure power is to fill the state with poor Hispanics who get free stuff and vote Dem every two years, which is what they do now.

For the first 300 years after Cortes the area now known as Mexico was a part of New Spain. As such it achieved cultural status equal to that of Europe - thousands of churches, schools, museums - and an educated class of Native Americans - many of whom taught in universities. Mexico as a "nation" outlawed the Church and confiscated everything else. The "nation" has been in revolution status for 300 years. The claimed enemy is Christianity. Religious instruction is prohibited. Even the vote was denied to women as of 1917 because the rulers feared that women would vote their Christian values. Who would want live in Mexico?

There are millions of Mexican votes in California now, and probably tens of millions more if the liberal Democrat amnesty is ever passed and everything is said and done. The liberal Democrats are not going to allow those votes to go anywhere other then in their pockets, and know that those votes will keep them, the liberal Democrats, in power there indefinitely.

Texas Democratic-party gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis’s new book Forgetting to Be Afraid came out Monday, and the book’s claims have brought some new attention to the floundering Davis campaign. Davis writes that in 1997 she had an abortion that caused “deep, dark despair.” She writes that “Baby Tate” was suffering and would have died shortly after birth. The abortion was Davis’s second. She claims that the first was done because the pregnancy was ectopic and therefore a danger to her health. Reactions to the alleged revelation have varied. Some have offered compassion for both Davis and her deceased child, expressing sorrow over

The more Hillary Clinton looks like a candidate, the less invincible she appears. The former first lady and New York senator enjoyed sky-high approval ratings during her tenure as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state, but her numbers have returned to earth since she traded her perch as the nation’s top diplomat for her current role as the Democrats’ top presidential prospect in 2016. The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found 43% of registered voters view Ms. Clinton positively, compared with the 41% who harbor negative views. That’s a steep drop from February 2009 when 59% viewed the newly confirmed secretary

Four little words – “Don’t do stupid stuff” – define the Obama Doctrine in all its non-glory, and the key word in this matrix is “do.” It implies in effect that wisdom is measured in negative energy, that by declining to act one can stay out of trouble, that passivity is the key to a guilt-free existence and a serene and an untroubled world. Never use force, don’t threaten force, and no one will blame you for anything. Pull out of wars and your foes will stop fighting. Don’t send men to war and your hands will be clean. In the belief

When they can’t meet established performance standards, the left makes up excuses, lowers the standards, and, if necessary, revises history along the way. In economics, there’s hardly a better of example of this kind of deliberate responsibility avoidance than what has happened to the idea of “full employment.” Full employment is supposed to occur when “all … who want to work and are allowed to work are able to find employment.” The unemployment rate associated with full employment obviously can’t be zero, because there will always be people out of work who are voluntarily or involuntarily moving from one job to another.
