Ebola: Germany accepts
infected patient for treatment

Telegraph [UK], by Justin Huggler

With medical services across Europe on high alert to prevent any risk of the Ebola virus spreading here, a hospital in Germany has agreed to accept an infected patient for treatment. [Snip] But, amid speculation their patient may be one of the world’s leading Ebola experts, doctors in Germany insist there is no risk of the infection spreading from him. He will be kept in a special isolation ward behind three separate air locks. The air inside the ward will be kept at lower pressure than outside, so none can escape--even though it is not believed Ebola can be transmitted

What about the people transporting him ?

Gern=man medicine has experience the hard way in dangerous african virus. Google Marburg virus. THis article doesn´t say, but if it´s that facility, they know what they´re doing. if the patient is the Ebola expert who risked his life to help, pray for him and the others who do this work.

The murder of David Haines was an "act of pure evil", David Cameron has said after the release of a video purporting to show the UK hostage´s beheading. The PM vowed to do "everything in our power to hunt down" the killers of the 44-year-old aid worker, from Perth, who was kidnapped last year in Syria. Islamic State militants have already beheaded two Americans, saying it was in response to US air strikes in Iraq. The latest video also includes a threat to kill a second British hostage. Mr Cameron said the murder of an innocent aid worker was "despicable

San Francisco & Washington - Islamic State´s Twitter users, which have trumpeted the group´s violent acts and worldview on the social media service, have gone abruptly quiet in past days. Several accounts affiliated with the militant group appear to have gone dormant, according to US government sources, raising questions about whether the government has pressured Twitter to clamp down more aggressively or whether the group has moved to other social media channels. When contacted, several US officials said on condition of anonymity they were unaware of attempts to quash those Twitter accounts. The sudden silence also came days after reports about Islamic State-linked accounts threatening

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday it would be inappropriate for Iran to attend an upcoming meeting in Paris on how to defeat the Islamic State group, The Associated Press (AP) reported. Speaking to reporters in the Turkish capital, Kerry said he has not been formally asked about whether Iran should participate in the meeting of diplomats set for Monday. However, he added, Iran should not be there, given its support for Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in his three-year war against rebels that are trying to oust him from power. Germany’s flagship Bard 1 offshore wind farm has been described as “a faulty total system” as technical problems continue to plague the project, casting major doubts on the feasibility of large scale offshore projects. The wind farm was officially turned on in August last year but was shut down again almost immediately due to technical difficulties that have still not been resolved--and now lawyers are getting involved. Built at a cost of hundreds of millions and costing between €1 and €2 million a day to service, the project is estimated to have cost €340 million in lost power generation over

Dozens of firefighters were last night battling an ‘explosive’ blaze at a new £15million laboratory at Nottingham University. Students were warned to stay indoors and close all windows and doors to avoid flying debris as the fire tore through the GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory--which was due to open next month. A university spokesman insisted an open day would take place as planned today, despite the huge blaze which lit up the sky for miles around, sending plumes of smoke could be seen across the city high into the sky. Onlookers reported hearing several explosions as 60 firefighters fought to bring the

The essential components of a coherent foreign policy strategy include not merely the identification of a problem but also some idea of what the consequences of dealing with it might be. Barack Obama, in outlining his plans for confronting the threat posed by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), was convincing on the former but less persuasive on the latter. [Snip] What role will other Arab nations play, some of whom have actually bankrolled the very militants we now seek to destroy? WASHINGTON--The embattled Syrian regime and its closest allies, Russia and Iran, will oppose American military action in its territory against Islamic State, unless the White House coordinates US actions with President Bashar Assad, the axis said on Thursday. The group expressed its opposition to American force, which it called an “aggressive” and “illegal” intervention in a sovereign state, hours after President Barack Obama announced his intent to target Islamic State terrorists “wherever they exist.” But the White House made clear that the president’s decision had already been made. Strikes will begin against targets in Syria “at a time and place”

Conservatives don’t normally pay much attention to fancy psychobabble, but this is a worthy exception. This gem is based upon data involving more than a million people living in 16 European countries, including the UK, and it puts pay to the Left-wing thesis that they’re the happiest people on the planet because they’re in touch with their inner-dolphin. Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

Berlin - President Obama´s declaration of war against the terrorist group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria marks a decisive break in the American constitutional tradition. Nothing attempted by his predecessor, George W. Bush, remotely compares in imperial hubris. Mr. Bush gained explicit congressional consent for his invasions (Snip) Mr. Obama may rightly be frustrated by gridlock in Washington, but his assault on the rule of law is a devastating setback for our constitutional order. His refusal even to ask the Justice Department to provide a formal legal pretext for the war on ISIS is astonishing.

Cruz agreed to speak to this group, which included bishops of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ostensibly out of solidarity, but took the occasion to antagonize them over their insufficient praise for Israel, then smeared them as anti-Semites before dropping the mic.
