Troops told to refrain from eating,

Do not eat or drink in front of Muslims, and learn more about their religion. That’s the directive that has gone out to active duty military personnel at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, a Department of Defense medical and graduate school in Bethesda, Md. The brigade commander sent an email to military personnel at the facility last month – just before the start of Ramadan – advising them to show respect to Muslim colleagues. “This is a period of great personal restraint and commitment in addition to renewed focus on worship,” Brigade Commander Col. Kevin Glasz wrote. “I’d like to

Comments:
What a crock. If only those Muslims had as much concern about their brothers that are causing murder and mayhem all over the world. Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty said: There is a good biblical word for this: hypocrisy. Amen Mr. Crews!

Our government is basically pushing anything that is anti Judeo-Christian. Islam, extreme secularism, bizarre lifestyles, etc... But if you say ´Merry Christmas´ or support Israel you could end up being hounded out of the service.

I have this dream about opening bacon shops on street corners. Model it after starbucks.
But the interior of the shops would cater more toward practical folks, with FOX news playing, a few Ann Coulter books on the tables, and not a NYTimes in sight.
The idea of selling sandwiches, shishkebobs (sp?), and anything else bacon related seems like a great idea.
It might not be a great business plan.....but I´ll bet the folks would know EXACTLY WHY I am doing it. And they will likely support me and the idea. Don´t you think?
It would be especially fun when a set of murderous camel jockeys whined to the local chambers of illegals´ commerce and cities. If only I could win the lottery I would give it a whirl..

Rep. While more famous for his anti-war activities as a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s and ‘70s, he is now a committed educator. Retired from his education professorship at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Ayers continues to give lectures to teachers in training, speak at education conferences and agitate against America’s two-tiered educational system – one for rich, one for poor – on behalf of low-income parents, students and instructors. In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. Led by Ohio’s James Rhodes—the Republican Governors Association was meeting in Cleveland, and Rhodes was a legendary vote counter—the group included Pennsylvania’s William Scranton and later New York’s Nelson Rockefeller. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.
