Washington is desperate for
Republicans to impeach Obama

Hot Air, by Noah Rothman

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 7/29/2014 1:35:19 PM

Quite unlike six years ago, President Barack Obama has become a liability for his fellow Democrats running for federal office. Surveys have consistently shown that the GOP is well positioned to take back at least three of the six seats they need to regain control over the Senate and reduce Obama’s final two years in office to a series of vetoes. In another five seats, Republican candidates remain competitive. The president is no longer energizing his unique coalition of voters. This year, they are staying home. Democrats are desperate to reawaken those young, single, women, and minority voters and get them back

Comments:
You know the old tale about brier patches. Republicans should stay the heck away from that tactic.

Maybe I´m just not as strategically astute as others, so let me see if I have this right. A serial killer wants to be arrested for the attention, so we should not arrest him and allow him to continue killing so he doesn´t get the attention. Yeah. Thatt´l teach him.

Throw Brer Rabbit into the briar patch or not? Reverse psychology? Double reverse psychology? What to do?

Forget the "mind games" from the Dems and the GOP elites. The Framers told us what to do:

It´s in the Constitution.

Just do it. Let the politics take care of itself.

Obama would love to go down in the History books as the President ´impeached because he was black.´

It beats going down as the ´worst president in living memory.´

The shame and danger they have brought on America with this illegal president, through their stupidity and greed -- means that I no longer recognize any of them as friends -- or even Americans. Ugh!

Focus on the war not the battle. A scorched earth policy is necessary at times, a tactical withdrawal, and we must use similar discretion when it comes to impeachment.

Whenever a Republican is asked about impeachment they should ask the interviewer AKA Dem operative, "on what grounds would we impeach this president?" After the inevitable hemming and hawing they need to say, "you brought it up, I´m asking you what grounds congress would use to impeach him?"

It´s a win/win. If they can´t answer that, then they admit it´s a fundraising tactic for the left. If they can then you´re actually talking about the incredible lawlessness of this administration.

NO IMPEACHMENT!! Gullible Americans voted for this crap sandwich. They should be forced to eat every last bite along with the rest of us. Impeachment only lets him play victim. Make him finish out the second term he ran for. Make him veto an Obamacare repeal bill passed by a Republican House and Senate in 2015. Make him refuse to enforce streamlined deportation legislation passed by a Republican House and Senate in 2015. Make him face up to every lie he has told. No easy outs or distractions from an impeachment circus. Make him stand there and take the wrath of those he liked to and who believed him. And make them live with their humiliation for the full term.

The GOP needs to stick to the words of a Kenny Rodgers song: "You got to know when to hold, know when to fold, know when to walk away, know when to run."

Impeachment is political suicide. It would be Clinton Redux to the 1,000th power. Does Obama deserve it? Sure. But he and his ilk would just use it to bash the GOP just as the GOP is starting to resonate with voters.

Obama and company are imploding. Let them do it. Contain them. Watch them. Step out of the way. Let America see them in all their naked ugliness.

Impeachment would just block the view and serve no purpose -- except Obama´s. Obama wants a distraction. I don´t want to give it to him.

It appears that no one, particularly those whose entire being seems to be consumed in political machinations is familiar with them.
Sarah Palin´s question of last week is appropriate, and being ignored. If this bum, this traitorous creep, is not deserving of impeachment and removal, then what president could be?
It might not be successful, but we don´t know that. Were the fighters at Thermopylae or the Alamo successful? What we do know, is that those who are openly refusing to do their sworn duties to their positions of public trust, are as guilty as he is. A plague and a pox upon the lot of them, and may history forget that they were ever our countrymen. Cowards and poltroons, all of them.

Former President George W. Bush put together a 48 member coalition for the Iraq War in 2003. 40 of those members supported military operations and 37 provided some number troops. In April 2003, the list was updated to include 49 countries, though it was reduced to 48 after Costa Rica objected to its inclusion. Of the 48 states on the list, three contributed troops to the invasion force (the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland). WASHINGTON — Islamic State militants, who once relied on wealthy Persian Gulf donors for money, have become a self-sustaining financial juggernaut, making more than $3 million a day from oil smuggling, human trafficking, theft and extortion, according to U.S. intelligence officials and private experts. The extremist group’s resources exceed that “of any other terrorist group in history,” said a U.S. intelligence official. The Islamic State, or ISIS, has taken over large sections of Syria and Iraq, and controls as many as 11 oil fields in both countries, analysts say. It is selling oil and other goods through generations-old smuggling networks under the noses

The Department of Labor coordinated with the White House on whether or not to release hidden portions of former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis’ schedule as Solis battled an FBI investigation into her illegal fundraising for President Obama. New emails provided to The Daily Caller from the nonprofit legal research firm Cause of Action show the White House thanking the Department of Labor for “flagging” a public information request for “withheld” portions of Solis’ schedule. The White House then asked for the name of the conservative group making the request — information that Labor officials were eager to give up. As TheDC previously

If the Republicans win the Senate in November, the first thing they’ll say is: Finally, we can pass all of our bills and force President Barack Obama to deal with them. The second thing they’ll say is: Oh, wait a second. This is the Senate. That tension — between their desire to bring Obama to his knees and their ability to actually do it — is the political reality that will determine the Republicans’ legislative strategy if they win the Senate majority. They’d love to set up clear contrasts between the parties and pave the way for 2016. But everything they do

Is a mutiny happening around President Obama? It appears possible that the president may not have made two of his most recent decisions with complete free will. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked? WASHINGTON — The Obama administration said Sunday that “several” Arab nations had offered to join in airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, but any sustained military campaign does not appear imminent, and is likely to require an even more significant commitment from other nations and fighting forces in the region.
