IRS Strikes Deal with Militant
Atheists to Monitor What Your

PJ Media, by Bryan Preston

Within the Internal Revenue Service, away from the eyes of the majority of American citizens and the media, agency officials have struck a deal with the Freedom From Religion Foundation. That’s according a press release put out by the foundation on July 17. The Freedom From Religion Foundation is a militant atheist group, truly an enemy of religious believers and everyone else who values the freedom of religion. The Freedom From Religion Foundation and the Internal Revenue Service reached an agreement today (July 17) that resolves for the time being an ongoing federal lawsuit over non-enforcement of restrictions on political

1. Perfect opportunity to evangelize the atheists. Surrounded by prayer, liturgy, sacred music. The Holy Spirit can work wonders.

2. Hopefully they will be generous when the collection plate comes around!

A smart minister could have a sermon telling of the new law explaining how he/she can´t talk about how sinful homosexuality is, how abortion kills unborn children, etc., you know, just list the topics that are now forbidden to talk about in church, why the minister opposes them and encouraging his/her congregation to do the same. No one is breaking the law, just explaining what the law is. No harm in that, right?

Thanks to the Almighty, my pastor only preaches from the pages of the Bible and leaves all that social-gospel crap to the liberals that need it. I have walked out of a church or two the minute a pastor went all new-age on us. If any asks why I left, I´ll tell them. PS, our congregation opted to pay taxes (render to Caesar) to pay for the public services we use.

You can bet that the Black Church system will be exempt from all this, as if the IRS ever clamped down on those churches the liberal Democrats would be all over them, as the Black Churches are a voter recruitment arm of the Democrat Party that receive an infusion of cash before every election that is known as "Walking Around Money".

Not that I condone that sort of thing, but it certainly won´t slow down my consumption of popcorn as I read about it.

Of course, they may just take the liberal´s way out and kill themselves; they are still smarting from the court throwing out their crybaby lawsuit and favoring the cross staying at the 9/11 memorial.

This might lead to the perfect opportunity to challenge that IRS rule. It´s surprising to me that in 60 years this hasn´t made it to the Supreme Court.

From Wiki:

The Johnson Amendment refers to a change in the U.S. tax code made in 1954 which prohibited tax-exempt organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates.

Proposed by then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson, the amendment affects churches and other nonprofit organizations with 501(c) tax exemptions.[1] In recent years the Alliance Defending Freedom has attempted to challenge the Johnson Amendment through the Pulpit Freedom Initiative, which urges church pastors to violate the statute in protest. The ADF contends that the amendment violates First Amendment rights.[2]

That, poster #3, or the pastor could ask each and every church member to submit a separate Freedom of Information Act request for copies of all paperwork the IRS has on file concerning the "agreement that FFRF made with the IRS" as the FFRF announced on July 17, 2014.

I still would like a court to determine where in the Constitution or Founding Documents the "wall of separation" between church and state is found, or why it is allowed to be repeatedly used in lawsuits if it is not actually in the Constitution and Amendments.

President Obama began outlining a sweeping and long-term strategy Wednesday night for combatting the threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, launching what could be the biggest counterterrorism campaign of his presidency. “Tonight, I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade, and ultimately destroy, the terrorist group known as ISIL,” Obama said in a prime-time speech delivered from the White House. According to prepared remarks, Obama said the offensive against the militant group will not involve combat troops but a “steady, relentless effort” through

That the vast American intelligence community was “ignorant” of how bad things were in a country where we’d spent eight years developing assets? Or that the White House had every reason to know how dangerous Iraq was becoming but chose to suppress that information because the truth was problematic?

In this hyperpartisan age, there is one point of agreement between Republicans and Democrats on foreign policy--that is, in addition to the newfound conviction that Congress need not exercise its constitutional authority over war: namely, that there shall be no "boots on the ground in Iraq." It is a view requiring immediate clarification: there may be more U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq, but no combat troops will be sent. President Barack Obama offered that reassurance in his addresses to the nation. His former rival, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), said the same in an interview with the BBC on Hard Talk this

For the 2008 Presidential GOP convention I was asked to narrate more than 80 percent of the videos shown over those few days. The 9/11 tribute video was something I especially wanted to do. For me, the most important issue of our 21st century is the War on Terror, specifically from that which it is engendered, radical Islam. While, of course, both conventions that year had their partisan speeches and differences, at least the nation would be united on the 9/11 tribute. I was wrong. Instead of a unanimous, heartfelt response, some on the left began to vehemently criticize and politicize the tribute.

As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. For starters, the president doesn’t believe the Islamic State is a current threat to the U.S.: “So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq

Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech.
