Joan Rivers Defends
Israel in Epic Rant

Townhall, by Leah Barkoukis

It’s been infuriating to watch Hollywood elites ignorantly blast out their support for Gaza across social media platforms since the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians escalated this month. Thus, it’s refreshing to see one particularly outspoken celeb passionately stand up for Israel’s right to self-defense. “If New Jersey were firing rockets into New York, we would wipe ’em out,” she tells the cameraman. Rivers continues, “I don’t want to hear anymore, ‘Oh, we’ll do a partial truce.’ The Palestinians… you cannot throw rockets, and not expect people to defend themselves.” Asked about civilian casualties among Palestinians, Rivers fires back, “Then

Logic, clarity and being correct are totally meaningless to those on the left. I think it is Michael Savage who said being liberal is a mental disorder. I have to agree with him.

Good for Joan Rivers! She has more courage than the Jewish-"Americans" in the House and Senate, along with their fellow-travelers in the Jewish "organizations" in this country combined. Where is upchuck schemer and the rest of them? Pathetic losers.

After all his complaints about Republican obstruction this year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed frustration last night after Republicans helped guarantee a floor vote on a measure he supports. The Nevada Democrat has accused Senate Republicans of chicanery for voting to advance to the Senate floor a Democratic constitutional amendment allowing Congress to regulate all campaign speech and spending. After Monday´s bipartisan 79-18 vote, Reid vented to reporters that Republicans were trying to "stall" the Senate, indicating that he never intended for the campaign finance amendment by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., to go to a real floor debate. Politico reporter Burgess Everett

There are always lunatics lurking in the crevices of Muslim politics prepared to proclaim a new Caliphate; there isn’t always a recruiting pool in the form of nearly 14 million displaced people (11 million Syrians, or half the country’s population, and 2.8 million Iraqis, or a tenth of the country’s population). Even a few white conservative radio hosts became uncomfortable and pushed back against my saying that slavery happened a ga-zillion years ago and it is time for black America to get over it. Apparently, they considered such a statement coming from a black person too Uncle Tom-ish for even them. Their retort is “Surely, you must admit that being African American in America is challenging.” When my reply is, “No, it is not.” their reply is, “Thanks for coming on the show Lloyd. Stanton Peele, who studies and treats addiction, has published a fascinating summation of the scientific evidence on drinking and health (hat tip: Instapundit), and it cuts against the grain of much of what you will hear from most public health spokesmen. Drinking alcohol, up to two drinks a day for women and four for men (sorry, ladies, that’s what the data shows!), decreases mortality. Drink up and live longer. The U.S. public health establishment buries overwhelming evidence that abstinence is a cause of heart disease and early death. People deserve to know that alcohol gives most of us a higher life

Two weeks ago, the British press broke the news contained in Professor Alexis Jay’s “Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation in Rotherham.” Between 1997 and 2013, Jay estimated, 1,400 young girls in that Yorkshire town were exploited: gang-raped, trafficked to other cities, threatened, beaten, and forced to bring other girls into the network. The police did not respond to emergency calls from the girls and their families; fathers reported being threatened and even arrested for complaining. The damage done by drug abuse and drug-related crime is enormous, and continues to radiate across American communities. Heroin deaths have recently captured national headlines. Another drug with devastating impact is methamphetamine. We need to think about ending the meth crisis now, because thanks to DEA, Congress, and the advance of science, we are getting closer to being able to do that. There are no panaceas, but we need to take the next step toward reducing the proliferation of meth labs. Meth is produced by thousands of so-called “mom and pop” labs across the United States, and it is having a

Don’t get me wrong: I think hackers are morally reprehensible and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But I also think that we need to build an alternative to the dogma, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it.” Young women are told that it’s a sign of being “proud of your sexuality” to “sext” young men—a philosophy that has turned girls into so many flashing beacons,

Speaking at an event on business taxes at the Urban Institute in Washington, Lew placed the responsibility on Congress to address so-called tax inversions, but said that the administration was prepared to step in if lawmakers don´t move quickly enough. Inversions are tax maneuvers in which corporations buy firms in low-tax countries in order to place their headquarters in that country. Such deals have grown in number in recent months, with
