Hamas declares 24
hour ceasefire in Gaza

Telegraph [UK], by David Blair

Hamas leaders agreed to a renewed 24-hour ceasefire today--hours after the Gaza Strip erupted with gunfire and artillery explosions when the previous truce came to an end. The announcement gave rise to hopes for a brief pause in the conflict. The ceasefire is due to start at 2pm local time. Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, an Israeli army spokesman, did not say if Israel would observe the truce during the requested time. He said troops would continue demolishing Hamas military tunnels. Israel had previously announced a “humanitarian” truce from 8am until 8pm on Saturday, later extending this until midnight. The security cabinet then

Since Hamas continued to fire rockets into Israel during that country´s cease fire, perhaps Israel should return the favor.

By Hamas truce means WE don´t fire at them. THEY have kept it up continuously the whole time. This last round of "humanitarian pause" started at 2 p.m. requested by them. First rocket fired (unless their watches were off and the one at 1:59 was really 2) was at 24p.m. Considering what the mamzerim planned to do with their tunnels, nobody can blame us for needing to take out each and every one. Particularly if we are blowing them up from our own territory. So sorry if the explosion travels a mile and a half and takes down buildings and cooks off a dozen secondary explosions and causes a trench. Egypt is certainly continuing and nobody says a thing to them.

Hamas says they will ceasefire. Great. Israel should fire, and continue to fire, until there is no Hamas to ceasefire.

So Hamas lobs bombs into Israel when Israel agrees to a humanitarian truce, now Hamas wants a ceasefire and if Israel doesn´t agree then the world will say that Israel is being unreasonable, all the time ignoring the fact that Hamas started this, Hamas continues this, Hamas uses the civilian population to hide behind.

Israel fights their enemies well. But it seems they love their enemies more. The reasoning of the two is beyond comprehension. That Israel signs on to a ceasefire when the savages are getting the snot kicked out of them, is to wonder how General Patton would handle this situation.

Most level-headed people realise that on issues like ISIS and Hamas, the mainstream media is perhaps less than forthright and unbiased in its coverage. For instance, we are supposed to believe that Islamist terrorists are either ´insurgents´ or ´militants´ or some other watered down phrase--because what a dreadful breach of integrity it would be if the BBC called a spade a spade, right? The INS Tanin, Israel´s fourth and most advanced Dolphin class submarine – is en route to Israel from Germany, and the Navy has released video of the vessel and the ceremony in which it was launched at Germany´s Kiel shipyards at week´s end. Reports claim Israel has modified the Dolphin´s 650mm launch tubes to allow the launch of missiles that could carry nuclear warheads. Such missiles should give Israel the ability to deter belligerent neighbors like Iran, if it delivers a sufficiently convincing threat to make use of them. Scores of Palestinians rioted in East Jerusalem today after hearing that a youth from their neighbourhood had died of wounds suffered in a clash with Israeli police last week. Protesters in the neighbourhood of Wadi al-Joz close to the walled Old City threw rocks, petrol bombs and flares at passing cars, and riot officers responded with rubber bullets during an afternoon of clashes that lasted for several hours. There were no reports of serious injury. Mohammed Sinokrot, 16, succumbed to a head wound suffered during a protest a week ago but the circumstances of how he sustained the wound were in dispute.
