President may legalize
5M immigrant parents

Boston Herald, by Jack Encarnacao

Original Article

Posted By:geo11, 7/27/2014 5:46:51 AM

President Obama appears poised to take executive action that would legalize as many as 5 million illegal immigrant parents of U.S.-born children, a prospect that riles local immigration critics and adds a new dimension to concern about swelling immigrant populations in states like Massachusetts eyed as hosting sites for thousands of children who crossed the border unaccompanied. The Associated Press reported yesterday White House officials are laying the groundwork for an executive order that would automatically legalize roughly 5 million of an estimated 11 million people who have entered the country without legal authorization or overstayed their visas.

This will be Obama´s crowning achievement. The fundamental change of America.

Sen Cruz and Rep Sessions have begged Americans to burn up the DC phone lines, their representatives Facebook and Twitter and protest this. THere is also a bill coming up for a vote before the August recess (in the next few days). We need to demand that the government enforce the immigration laws. Act like your country depends on you.

I am beyond enraged by the actions of this Community Organizer In Chief! The fact that the Democrats will go along with this power grab is evidence that they care nothing for the sovereignty of this country or the separation of powers that has been the bedrock of this nation. Democrats only pledge allegieance to their political party. The silence of the Republican Party as Obama continues his lawless in your face actions is even more disturbing. Obama is issuing decrees like some Middle Eastern potentate. Folks, this country is under attack by its own President and if he is not reigned it, he will continue to shred the Constitution.

Obama is on a mission to fundamentally transform this country and I believe he knows that no one will stop him. I weep for my country. The powers that be were put into office to protect and defend the Constitution, however evidently, preserving their political power is more important to them. If they were honest, they would tell the American people that Obama´s actions are illegal and this action will harm this country financially. It erases there rule of law and will forever change the culture. We cannot survive the Balkinization that Obama and the democrats want. If Obama does this and I believe he will, it will be the death knoll for the USA. He knows it and it has been his ultimate goal from day one. God help us.

That´s why he´s threatening to do this, #1. He wants the talk of impeachment to rile up his base for November. What he doesn´t see from inside his bubble is that a large chunk of his base doesn´t want the illegals here. They are sucking up the entitlements which belong to zippy´s "gimmedats".

In the boston globe´s coverage of the rally, they reported- Bay Staters are split on the issue, with 50 percent in favor of the plan and 43 percent opposed — a difference within the margin of error.
The thousands there had to be a good cross section of MA voters. No way is it within the margin of error. Guess they were busy covering Hilary´s visit.

That and Communist Organizing tactics of creating crisis after crisis, fomenting confusion and chaos. Simply put, divide and conquer!

I was always under the impression that the president did not have the authority to legalize or de-legalize anything. I guess that is all pre-Obama and pre-democrats turning into communist, lying tyrants. And after people say it is a waste of time to enforce our laws and our constitution, to just wait for the next election of establishment republicans and communist democrats.

am i the only one that remembers what happened?

in 2009, when Obamacare was first proposed, even the DEMOCRATS weren´t on board..
they were aghast at it, knowing they would not be re-elected if this went through..
BO dragged them into a PRIVATE meeting to assure them that it would be a good thing..
they all came out afterwards LOCK STEP and voted for it..
AFTER the 2010 election was in hand..

no details of Obamacare were, at that time, visible..
s would be a non-issue for the 2010 election and a MILD issue for 2012..

he AND THEY knew all hell would break loose after that and THEY would be thrown out of office in the 2014 election WHEN OBAMACARE STARTED TO TAKE EFFECT - FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING AMERICA.. we are seeing this start to happen..

Other than Jeff Sessions and Ted Cruz, where´s the vehement opposition to all this? Every comment I read any where in the ´net would suggest normal Americans are overwhelmingly (and stringently) opposed to anything like this. Where is the GOP opposition? This is going to be very difficult toothpaste to get back into the tube.

Impeachment is the WMD designed to take all discussions of Democrat misdeeds off the table at the time of the election. Don´t fall into that trap. After November ´14 it might not be necessary as a Republican House/Senate with an increased Tea Party content can do more to nullify him. Then we need him there to take the blame all the way to 2016.

Face it, we´ve had a silent coup take place before our very eyes. I´m sure many Germans in 1934 knew that when Hitler, who had already been elected Chancellor, was also ELECTED President that in only 8 years time their beautiful country would not be the same. I, and many others, felt that way about Obama in 2008. I´m right and so were those Germans. The USA will never be the same.

Everyone keeps saying we may not survive until 2016. Who said he´s leaving? He´ll just make an Executive Order saying he can stay. Who´s going to stop him?

A writ of mandamus from the Supreme Court to Homeland Security could stop all this nonsense in its tracks. But don´t look for that happening.(Look it up and see that it could work)

The only complaint I have with the Constitution is that there is not a quicker way to remove a tyrant. The President has violated his oath of office on numerous occasions. His responsibility is to "faithfully execute the laws". Why would that statute be up for interpretation? Yet it is. Obama is about to say that his interpretation of the law is that there is no law. Maybe we´ll get a Constitutional amendment after this abomination is gone.

The Republicans should be pounding away on the fact that the Democrats are illegally inviting criminals from the south into this country for votes. Immigration is a big issue and most of the American public is against allowing them in.

Win the Midterm Congressional elections, and then impeach a dirty president. Don´t impeach before you win the Senate. I think that big election losses would scare enough Democrat Senators that they might vote to then impeach.

It isn´t that far off.

If Obama legalizes illegal alien parents, how many of these illegals will participate? Won´t they have to register and admit they broke the law? Then, when the Supreme Court or Congress change the ´real´ laws, what will happen? These illegals are now on a list and could be deported, fined, jailed, etc. Not possible? Just asking. I don´t really know.
If Obama does it and there is a long process, I don´t think the illegals will be willing to wait for 5 years, 10 years or longer and will just continue to abuse our laws.

The results of this will be a weaker economy and poorer national security. More crime and more unemployment. More corruption in government. More stolen elections. There are probably many other consequences as well.

All in the name of stopping a ´humanitarian´ crisis.

The other branches of government can put a stop to this.

Can´t help but feel betrayed by our government.

Try to vote them out, but in reality, we are on our own. Expect little or no help from the government.

#19 Not a single Republican in the House or Senate voted for Obamacare . Not one.
They all fought against it, but, were outnumbered.
Presidents have been issuing Executive Orders changing the direction of the country since George Washington.
Congress could pass legislation countering an EO .
However, Harry Reid would have to permit such a bill to be introduced and that will never happen.
In some fantasy scenario where Reid did allow a bill
to be introduced pushing back the EO ,
the 45 Senate Republicans would need
21 Senate Democrats to join them in
a ) passing the legislation and
then b ) overriding Barry´s eventual veto.
The math is just not there for Republicans to stop Barry.
Senate Democrats hold the power.
They will not fight Barry´s EO nor will they convict and remove Barry from office , which is
another reason why talk of impeachment is meaningless.
The only unknown is when Barry
decides to do this and he will.
FTA- " One option would allow immigrants who are parents of U.S. citizens to apply for temporary legal status,
which would let them work here legally.
Another option would grant temporary legal status to parents of young people who have been granted deportation deferrals by the Obama administration."

If aliens from all over the world who have no connection to the USA can come here and have a baby that is bestowed with US citizenship by birth with the parents then being given a legal immigration status in this country, the USA will lose control of its future. Right now, beyond a couple of million illegal aliens who come here each year, there are tens of millions of aliens who come to the USA as tourists every year with temporary tourist visas, or under the visa waiver program, who under the immigration laws must depart on a date certain, now if those aliens will be granted a legal US immigration status because they had a baby here, there will be huge numbers of aliens who will come here, ostensibly as tourists, but really with the aim of hiding out and having a baby so that they can stay. Once the USA allows such an alien parent to stay, under humanitarian following to join procedures, the alien´s entire close foreign family will then get to come here and obtain a legal US immigration status.

Back in the 1970´s illegal aliens from the Western Hemisphere used to be classified as Special Immigrants for issuance of immigrant visas if they had a baby in the USA. Congress eliminated that legislative loophole after about a million illegal aliens a year started applying under those provisions for immigrant visas.

Many if not most of Obama´s EO´s are done to circumvent Congress, after he has been declined by them-big distinction if you hear the lefties crying that, "Obama has less EO´s than so and so former president", as they say.

This cannot be what our founders intended in our government.

America is suddenly angry at the laxity, incompetence, and polarizing politics of the Obama administration, the bad optics of the president putting about in his bright golf clothes while the world burns. Certainly, no recent president has failed on so many fronts — honesty, transparency, truthfulness, the economy, foreign policy, the duties of the commander-in-chief, executive responsibilities, and spiritual leadership. For those who are “shocked” at the present meltdown, of a magnitude not seen since the annus horribilis of 1979, in their defense: Obama certainly did not campaign on a new health-care plan that would force Americans to give up the

For the left, American power must never be exercised except in the direst of situations, and even then, it must not be a unilateral exercise of power. This is the logic underlying the White House response to ISIS, or the Islamic State, as it calls itself. At this time, the U.S. military has the capacity to obliterate this gang of thugs with a relatively modest projection of force. If the administration continues to drag its feet, it will be much harder. Yet Obama continues to drag his feet, because he believes that America “leads from behind.”

Challenging times call for extraordinary courage. But at the risk of sounding indelicate, the only cojones associated with President Obama are the ones lined up on the putting green, where his frequent appearances have given rise to a new meaning of the term “stay the course.” You’d think the so-called leader of the free world would at least sound courageous. In her just-released memoir, 27 year-old "Girls" star Lena Dunham claims that as a 19 year-old Oberlin College student in Ohio, she was raped by a college Republican. In the first chapter that addresses the encounter, Dunham describes the "ill-fated evening of lovemaking" as awkward and hollow. The most sensational moment comes from the fact that "Barry" wasn´t wearing a condom. In the next chapter, Dunham backtracks with the claim that she´s an "unreliable narrator" and accuses "Barry" of rape: [I]n another essay in this book I describe a sexual encounter with a mustachioed campus Republican as the upsetting but

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

Deadly, irrational, and determined, the intruder snuck across a weakened perimeter. Eluding capture, the intruder was detained only after missteps and close calls. The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It

The hawkish Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he is thinking about running for president in 2016. In an interview with Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, the senator, running for re-election to the Senate this year, said: “If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking — me and McCain have been talking — I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham said. Graham, 59, also dismissed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 43, as a presidential candidate, saying he is too young. “He’s a good

Speaking at a Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors event last night, Hillary Clinton decided to talk about Alexis de Tocqueville. The problem? She got it wrong -- by about a hundred years. "There´s a wonderful phrase that was first used by Alexis de Tocqueville, who came to the United States in the very early 1930s and traveled around our country," said Hillary Clinton, a probable 2016 presidential candidate. "And he was so amazed at how Americans organized themselves -- you know, coming from aristocratic Europe, which was totally top-down and hierarchical -- he couldn´t believe how many of us were joiners.

Thursday while speaking at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, President Barack Obama giggled and raised his arms as he mocked the Fox News Channel for it´s reporting on ObamaCare. Obama said, "There is a reason fewer Republicans, you hear them running around about ObamaCare, cause while good affordable health care might seem like a fanged threat to the freedom of the American people on Fox News it turns out its working pretty well in the real world."
