When You´ve Lost Haaretz...
Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 7/27/2014 5:01:50 AM

Haaretz is Israel’s establishment, liberal newspaper. Scott once described it to me in shorthand as the New York Times of Israel. So the paper is a natural ally of a Democratic U.S. administration. That is what makes this article by Barak Ravid remarkable. It is titled Kerry’s latest cease-fire plan: What was he thinking? It is behind a subscription wall, but the link goes to Haaretz’s mobile site and should be accessible: The press conference U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry convened together with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry was one of Kerry’s most embarrassing incidents since

Barak Ravid is a noted Øbama and supporter of leftist American politics. His Haaretz columns have supported the very forces in the U.S. that are now, apparently, working to help Israel´s enemies and weaken israel further. Kerry is a direct result of much of that kind of idiotic support from Jews here in the U.S. who, being left-leaning themselves, subscribe to Haaretz! Is this an epiphany moment for the Jewish left? If it is, it is about six years far too late.

Let the words of one of Israel´s favorite prophets ring in the ears;

Hosea 8:7 "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up."

The rule is always to first do no damage. If, however, there is such a thing as being too cautious, her inevitableness Hillary Clinton may be flirting with that condition as her long march to the Democratic nomination continues. The unease over Clinton’s candidacy on the left continues to grow, and it is a phenomenon which has become inescapably obvious to those following the nascent presidential race. While polls suggest that Clinton remains the prohibitive favorite to become the next Democratic presidential standard-bearer, those political reporters who tout top lines without noting the left’s unabashed dissatisfaction with Clinton are flirting with

Obama is trying to argue the group is the “true inheritor of bin Laden” in order to legally justify the war. Just don´t tell al Qaeda, which booted ISIS in February. The White House and senior members of the Obama administration have been trying to convince Congress all week that, legally speaking, there’s no difference between ISIS and al Qaeda. But at the same time—and, often, in the very same classified briefings—members of the U.S. intelligence community are telling lawmakers that the two Islamic radical groups aren’t in cahoots at all. In fact, they’re competitors for supremacy in the global jihadist

AUSTIN — Greg Abbott’s campaign launched a new attack on Democratic rival Wendy Davis’ ethics Thursday, saying she voted on legislation as a state senator that personally benefited her business. A new 30-second TV ad airing statewide marks a political escalation by the Abbott campaign, which has largely ignored Davis in its TV ad campaign and instead focused on the Republican attorney general’s platform and personal story. While Davis has targeted Abbott relentlessly on TV, Abbott’s ads until now have been an effective contrast, signaling to his Republican base that he’s in good shape. The show trial is underway and the guilty verdict is guaranteed, as a United Nations panel makes a pretense of investigating human rights violations in the 50-day war between Israel and Hamas. To his severe discredit, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has sanctioned a proceeding whose transparent rigging would be at home in a totalitarian regime. Israel is, of course, the defendant going down the tubes. Hamas started the conflict by firing thousands of rockets indiscriminately into the Jewish state from heavily populated areas of Gaza, and prolonged the suffering by violating ceasefire after ceasefire that Israel honored. Joseph R. Biden’s 2016 presidential ambitions already look like they have been swallowed whole by the Hillary Rodham Clinton juggernaut, but political analysts say the vice president still has a narrow path to victory — one that depends on either out-politicking the former first lady in crucial states such as Iowa or praying she makes a grave mistake. Mr. Biden and Mrs. Clinton both visited Iowa, home of the first caucuses in the presidential primary cycle, over the past week. Neither has declared a White House run in two years, but each seemed to be courting the Democratic foot soldiers necessary

Supporters of the Obama administration like to create the impression that there is no viable alternative to the Affordable Care Act — i.e., Obamacare. But that is demonstrably not true. Republican senators Richard Burr, Tom Coburn, and Orrin Hatch introduced a plan earlier this year that would cover just as many people with insurance as Obamacare at a fraction of the cost. Now we have confirmation, in the form of a new cost estimate, that a similarly constructed but slightly different proposal would also cost less, while covering nearly the same number of people. The plan, developed and promoted by the 2017

Too bad the Obama administration lacks the resolve or sense of urgency to meet this danger head on. Worse, political correctness is hindering New York, a likely target, from tracking and stopping the jihadists in our midst. Holder announced “pilot programs” to “raise awareness,” bringing together religious leaders, community leaders, and law enforcement to build “community partnerships.” Sounds heartwarming.
