Dem Leader: GOP ‘Penchant for

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Democratic House Leader Steny Hoyer was on MSNBC this morning and told a somewhat skeptical Steve Kornacki that far from what conventional wisdom suggests, the Democrats will do very well in the midterms and could actually take back the House. And he credited this in part to how badly the Republicans could screw it up along the way. Hoyer said that this year, Democrats are running great candidates and the party is out-raising the GOP by a pretty good margin. But that’s not all that gave him confidence for the fall. He said, “My experience over the last three or

Fortunately the Democrat penchant for ineptitude, dishonesty, and socialist utopianism will prevent that from happening.

I would like to agree with the above posters.

But this guy could be right. The American public voted for this inept moron-in-office TWICE. Even after he proved he was at best an empty suit, at worse, someone actually trying to ruin this country. And they voted him right in again!

Since then, even with ALL this that has failed with this Administration, you will not get one democrat vote for a Republican. The libertarians will stay home in droves, (dude, I was too baked to vote!) and the conservatives will be outnumbered, once again.

Now there are MORE illegals who will somehow vote, women STILL buy the war on women BS, women STILL vote based on looks and speaking appeal, most people STILL don´t know who the Vice President is, how Congress works, how the Electoral College works, and think that Jon Stewart is a newsman. Good luck trying to get the growing hispanic and also the black vote.

Still think we can win? I wonder.

They must be close to making sure the voting machines tally a D for every other R vote. That way, even if millions of voters select R, the Ds still win.

DETROIT— The Cadillac luxury brand will move its headquarters to New York next year to get closer to those living lives of luxury. The high-end brand, which has lost sales this year as German rivals gain, also will become a separate business unit, giving it more freedom to chase global growth. "There is no city in the world where the inhabitants are more immersed in a premium lifestyle than in New York," Johann de Nysschen, the brand´s new president, said in a statement issued Tuesday announcing the move. "It allows our team to share experiences with premium-brand consumers and develop

NEW YORK- Osama bin Laden´s son-in-law was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison for acting as al Qaeda´s spokesman after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. Sulaiman Abu Ghaith was the highest-ranking al Qaeda figure to face trial on U.S. soil since the attacks. The Kuwaiti cleric became the voice of al Qaeda recruitment videos after the 2001 attacks. He testified at trial that his role was strictly religious. Abu Ghaith was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, who said he saw "no remorse whatsoever" from the 48-year-old imam. "You continue to threaten," the judge said. "You sir, in

During the Bush administration, national Democrat leaders threatened to kill the ABC network´s broadcast license if a miniseries unfavorable to the Clinton administration wasn´t censored to satisfy Democrats. ABC complied. Earlier this year, Democrats started a push for a Constitutional Amendment to gut (literally) the First Amendment. Over the weekend, Democrats launched a campaign to get -- in their own words -- "Rush Limbaugh off the air." The petition to get Limbaugh off the air comes straight from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in the form of a fundraising/petition email. The idea is to use the muscle of the

JERUSALEM — The Israeli military said Tuesday morning that it had shot down a Syrian fighter jet that had “infiltrated into Israeli airspace,” the first such incident in at least a quarter of a century. Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a military spokesman, said the Patriot air-defense system had intercepted a Russian-made Sukhoi warplaneover the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights around 9:15 a.m. Brig. Gen. Ram Shmueli, a former head of intelligence in the Israeli Air Force now serving in the reserves, said that the pilots of the jet, which he identified as an Su-24, had ejected safely in Syrian territory and that

In a prescient article, Daniel Greenfield states that “on September 11, thousands were murdered in one day. The Democrats don’t like calling what happened on that day an act of war. Americans however know it’s a war and are determined to win.” The Democratic equivocation about the meaning of war not only fails to acknowledge that we are in a war, but fails also to acknowledge the scope of that war. If 9/11 ushered in WWIII, then our perspective about individual conflicts – e.g., the implications for winning the war against ISIS in Iraq – are far-reaching. We are not

She likes to get her drink on. Hanging out in Cartagena in 2012 with her staff at the Summit of the Americas, then-Secretary of State Clinton was photographed with her hair down and a drink in

On Sept. 12th, Jennifer Whalen, a 39-year-old mother of three in the rural town of Washingtonville, Pa., went to jail to begin serving a 9-to-18-month sentence. Whalen’s crime was, in effect, ordering pills online that her older daughter took in the first several weeks of an unplanned pregnancy, when she was 16, to induce a miscarriage. The medication was a combination of mifepristone (formerly called RU-486) and misoprostol. The drugs have been available from a doctor with a prescription in the United States since 2000 and are used around the world to induce miscarriage. Recent research increasingly suggests that early

The only outside stimulus that got a reaction from the commander in chief was his abysmal poll numbers. It’s tough be to a pathological narcissist when the applause stops. The destruction

The United Nations Climate Summit will begin in New York this Tuesday, but environmental activists didn’t wait. All day Sunday, they filled the streets of Manhattan for a march that featured Al Gore, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, and various Hollywood actors. But they certainly didn’t act like a movement that was winning. There was a tone of fatalism in the comments of many with whom I spoke; they despair that the kind of radical change they advocate probably won’t result from the normal democratic process. It’s no surprise then that the rhetoric of climate-change activists has become increasingly

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.
