Surprise! New health plans´

Nancy Pippenger and Marcia Perez live thousands of miles apart but have the same complaint: Doctors who treated them last year won´t take their insurance now, even though they haven´t changed insurers. "They said, ´We take the old plan, but not the new one,´ " says Perez, an attorney in Palo Alto, Calif. In Plymouth, Ind., Pippenger got similar news from her longtime orthopedic surgeon, so she shelled out $300 from her own pocket to see him. Both women unwittingly enrolled in policies with limited networks of doctors and hospitals that provide little or no payment for care outside those

If we made dopey democrats pay a dollar for every time actual informed Americans said "I told ya so" since January 2009, we could really have "free health care".

Our health plan was changed to accommodate the Obamacare mandates. Now, my co-pays are $100 per visit, and if I get 10 minutes of the doctor´s time I´m lucky. I just paid $100 for my son to talk to an RN for 10 minutes, after waiting over an hour after our appointment time.

I go to the same HMO as before but now it´s more difficult to get an appointment, the co-pay went from $20 to $100, and now we each have a $2,000 deductible. The waiting rooms are packed with people, many of whom are new Obamacare patients. I have a friend who works reception at our HMO and she said almost every person´s co-pay has doubled or more. She´s had some patients in tears because they can´t afford to take their children to the doctor anymore because they can´t afford the co-pay.

This administration should be ashamed of what they´ve done. They´ve made medical care less available and more expensive, and are hurting a lot of the people they claimed they were going to help.

No one should sign up for ANY Health Insurance Plan unless they know what is in it, including the providers available. I have had the same plan for over 25 years but when the new brochure comes, I read every word. Otherwise, how do I know what the benefits and costs are ? Unfortunately, many people either do not take the time or cannot understand the literature. Whether it is an Obamacare plan or another type, you MUST understand what you are getting or you will end up behind the 8-ball. Health Care Insurance is one of the most important items in everyone´s life and they must treat it that way. Of course, Obamacare is horrible Health Care Insurance for most folks, in my opinion.

President Barack Obama´s nominee to be the government´s chief civil rights attorney has officially resigned from consideration for the post. Obama tapped Debo Adegbile for the Justice Department job last year. But a bipartisan group of senators blocked his nomination earlier this year because he had sought to get the sentence of a convicted cop killer overturned. The White House argued at the time that the decision to reject Adegbile´s nomination set a troubling precedent that could dissuade lawyers with aspirations to serve in government from taking on unpopular clients of causes. Adegbile is returning to private practice and will be a partner

The Obama administration announced Monday that it will cut off tax subsidies to about 360,000 people if they do not offer proof of their income in the next two weeks. Officials will send final notices this week to individuals who signed up for ObamaCare with income levels that didn’t match government records. The announcement marks the Obama administration´s first move to tackle the politically charged issue of income verification, which has remained a key GOP argument against the healthcare law. The administration had already warned that it would end coverage for the 966,000 individuals whose immigration status could not be

But execrable as that serial prevarication may have been, it doesn’t hold a proverbial candle to his most recent whopper — that the Islamic State is not Islamic — not to mention its corollary, or perhaps subsidiary lie, that real religions do not indulge in murder. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked?
