Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is putting a call out to the American people: He needs help to kill President Barack Obama’s plans to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Sessions wants Americans to melt Congress’ phone lines, demanding their members make a precondition of any border crisis bill that Obama’s executive order amnesty via the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and any future plans be stopped. And just who am I supposed to call from here in California ??? My Representative in the House is a Conservative and doesn´t need to receive another call. But I have no representation on the Senate side. The American people are being ignored, BIG TIME.

No one is calling in significant numbers. When you call, you can get through, even to the wh comment line.

Don´t email. You will be one of millions and they can´t possibly read the emails. You can send faxes through NumbersUSA.

Back in ´07 we drove Congressional staffers around the bend by nonstop phone calls opposing the amnesty bill -- and the bill was defeated. Get a list of all Senate and House members and just call as many of them as you can. Don´t only call the ones from your state.

Don´t bother with mail (it sits in warehouses) or email (ignored). Make phone calls or send faxes. If you don´t have your own fax machine, sign up quickly at Numbers USA and they will help you send faxes for free. They even write the faxes, and you can make any changes you wish.

Just burn up those phone and fax lines!

I don´t get this: What good will all our phone calls do if Obama is determined to do an EO to give these illegals amnesty?

Do Republicans really think a bazillion phone calls will stop Obama, who wants nothing better than to tell Republicans to bugger off?

This amnesty EO will happen because there is no mechanism to stop it. Phone calls won´t matter to a POTUS who doesn´t care about fallout.

I think most of us feel it´s too hopeless now and won´t bother to call. We know it won´t matter against an EO. We need Republicans reminding people that all EOs can be reversed by a new president. Get working to win the Senate. .

There are reports today that Boehner is bringing out an immigration bill ( no details ) on Monday to be rammed through in a few hours ( no chance to read it ). Let me guess it gives Obama all the money he asked for and begs him to spend some of it on border security to save face for the GOP. Sure, Melt the phone lines and when the members get home for the summer break have a chat with them - after it is too late. We really need some leaders who do the right thing without intense pressure every time!

We CAN make a difference! I called Boehner, Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer, Schumer, McCarthy, McConnell yesterday. Spoke to aides on several calls, and recorded on others. Boehner and McConnell were only taking recorded messages.

This time around, I just let them all have it! No more respectful, restrained "discussion" about my grievances. I raised my voice and expressed how disgusted I was about the border issue, and how resolute I am to not let them get away with destroying our country.

McCarthy´s aide said that he has repeatedly said that "first, we must protect the border." Ha!! Obama is planning on using planes to fly right OVER the border. Some good a fence will do us!

This is nonsense. The Dems want this "amnesty", the GOP wants this "reform", and so do their big money backers. Obama´s a lame duck, not politically beholden to the public. I imagine there will be enough lame duck votes in the House to "do something." Even melting Congress by throwing out the bums won´t matter. It gets done by January.

This is a waste of time.
Unfortunately.
The time to stop Obama was at
the polls in 08 and 2012.
Democrats control the Senate by 10 seats and they´re not going to pressure Barry.
Jeff Sessions and the Republicans only have 45 seats.
Obama can legally issue Executive Orders .
There have been just a few occasions where courts have overturned presidential EOs.
I had a conversation with a former member of the DOJ and he is of the opinion that Barry will grant amnesty , most
likely after the November elections
and if not then , on his way out the door.
He felt that Carter´s blanket pardon of
draft dodgers in 1977 set the precedent.

Just like Obamacare, immigration reform will happen. Our government only listens to people with money. Saw a poll on Fox that said 60% of the people still support a path to citizenship for illegals. Is this real or propaganda? Can´t help but think the US population is being conditioned to accept this nonsense. The same happened with Obamacare.

Alot of people in Washington at all levels need to be sent packing. Call of you wish, but make your voice heard on election day in 2014 and 2016. Look for the government to steal more elections. Just look at what our government has done to the Tea Party.

Of course, we are fighting upstream, but I will NEVER give up!! We may lose this round, but we have to raise our voices in opposition to each and every illegal, destructive move that Obama makes. Hebrews 11:32-34 – 32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

2 Chronicles 7:14 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

We do what we can do. We pray fervently. We trust in God to have mercy on us and help us. His will be done.

I am with you #20...100%!! It seems that the American people are turning into "cheese burger eating surrender monkeys"...(to paraphrase those who deride the French for WWII). The complacency, apathy and helplessness are very disturbing. One person alone can make a difference. All of us can make an even BIGGER difference. The enemy WANTS you to believe there is no hope. They want you to surrender...give up and not even bother trying. Are you folks gonna let them win by default? Are you going to let them take your lives and your families without a fight? The only way evil wins is when good men do nothing... Are we going to throw away the lives of the millions of men and women who died over the last 240 years fighting to gain and keep our freedom?? Are we going to let evil destroy the greatest experiment in self-governance created by Providence in the land graced by God? ...or are you okay just as long as you can watch your reality TV???

Went to Jeff Kuhner´s rally late morning today in Boston on steps of State House. Very very good crowd for a beautiful summer´s day when the distance to the Cape isn´t all that much and would be a much more fun place to go to. I will be interested to hear what Kuhner thinks about the size of the crowd.

If you want to listen to him - he is on WRKO from six to ten a.m. Eastern time - has a website - can be streamed. Interesting show that proves that there are many conservatives still in Massachusetts.

But I drove to the station; took the train into Boston; took a T train to the State House and all using my walkin´ stick; so if I can try, anybody can as well.
