CNN/ORC Poll: Majority say no
to impeachment and lawsuit

CNN, by Paul Steinhauser

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 7/25/2014 9:36:32 AM

Washington– There’s not a lot of public appetite for a Republican push to sue President Barack Obama, or for calls by some conservatives to impeach him, according to a new national survey. A CNN/ORC International poll released Friday morning also indicates that a small majority of Americans do not believe that Obama has gone too far in expanding the powers of the presidency. Earlier this month, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the GOP´s 2008 vice presidential nominee, called for Obama´s impeachment, becoming the latest voice on the right to make the suggestion.

It isn´t as important what the numbers are today. What is important is which direction they are trending, and how fast. That is the piece of information CNN is trying to ignore.

Instead, they spin it in the best possible light for their Messiah.

If the GOP leadership would grow a spine and stop his behavior, we could leave him in office as an albatross around the Dems collective necks.

Unfortunately, the GOP will do nothing, allowing him to continue on his destructive path, making him an albatross around all our necks.

I´m being serious here:

I wonder what the numbers would show were a poll taken which posed the following question to REPUBLICANS voters only:

Should lawmakers follow the rule of law or do what is politically expedient in order to win the Senate in 2014.

Any guesses?

Push poll? Biased? No matter. The only poll that matters is the one in NOvember. That is why the House should impeach now, have Republicans campaign on it, and get a mandate from the voters.

Yes, it´s risky - but so was D-Day. Those who are not willing to take political risk do not deserve to hold office.

Stop depending on what the liberal media tells us what we think, and let we the people tell you what we think. That can only happen with an election, where the "sample size" is 100% of those who care enough to weigh in.

If the electorate at large really believes that the Emperor should not be stopped, then they deserve what they are getting and will get. At that point, the American experiment will be over. I don´t think that will happen, but it is time to "call the question".

Over time Sarah Palin (i.e. Cassandra) will have been proven prescient once again.

Fully one third of the country want him impeached and removed. And that from a CNN poll which you can always count on to err on the side of the Administration. Don´t you love the way they frame the article?! Instead of focusing on the enormous number of 33.3%, they say "Majority say no to Impeachment and lawsuit". Still carrying the Administration´s water after all this time and all the incompetence, dishonesty and outright harm done to the country. Amazing!!

Fox News also did a poll on impeaching Obama and 36% said yes while 61% said no. O´Reilly had the audacity to say: There is no compelling evidence to support that drastic legal action. He would never be convicted." Really? The always brilliant and astute O´Reilly cannot see "compelling evidence" to support that? It is just frustrating and infuriating to constantly see people defending the lawless Obama. It may not be politically expedient at this time, but there sure is plenty of "compelling evidence" supporting such an action.

I LOATHE Øbunghole and all that he stands for. However, the only thing we should do regarding impeachment is talk about it and let the White House stay off balance, thinking he is about to be impeached. We shouldn´t do it for a lot of different reasons however. The Senate and will never vote to impeach him since it is run by the left. We don´t need to have our own focus on anything other than the November elections at this point. And 2016 father down the road. Metaphorically speaking, keep your powder dry.

there are so many other winners to focus on like immigration. Impeachment is a waste of time with only two years left.. (two very long hellious years I should say).
But I agree that talk of it may help keep them off balance. Except Obama does what he wants no matter what, so maybe not.

The old bracketed the new “View.” The season premiere on Monday on ABC opened with a coy joke — all the hosts lined up to kiss the ring of their retired colleague Barbara Walters, who was perched on a throne. The show closed with the Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth performing a tribute to Joan Rivers, singing “Borrowed Angels,” a song that trills with the kind of mawkish piety that used to prompt Ms. Rivers, a frequent guest on “The View,” to stick a finger down her throat and make gagging noises. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked?
