IRS backup tapes discovered!
American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 7/24/2014 9:23:37 AM

You can tell that this is a huge story because the Mainstream Media are completely ignoring it, leaving Fox News the privilege of continuing to break the story that could well be bigger than Watergate. It requires a bit of reading between the lines (though not a lot) to grasp what is going on. Yesterday, IRS head John Koskinen revealed in testimony before Darrell Issa’s House Oversight Committee (via Fox): ...that investigators looking into missing emails from ex-agency official Lois Lerner have found and are reviewing "backup tapes" -- despite earlier IRS claims that the tapes had been recycled.

This may turn out to be good news.

It is still not credible that these e-mails were "lost". Clearly, they were very intentionally destroyed. It appears that they were incompletely destroyed, or we can at least hope. Having an external contractor responsible for these backups is a great idea, but permitting any cancellation of the contract should be forbidden without 100% continuity with a new external contractor.

For each Federal agency there needs to be an IT manager, at a high level, reporting only to Congress, who is responsible for all backup copies of 100% of all communications by any electronic means - twitter, instant messaging, e-mail, etc.
Also, it needs to be a felony for any federal employee to use any e-mail other than their official government e-mail for business purposes.

In the length of time Koskinen spent testifying that the tapes had been found, an IT person could figure out if the tapes are usable and if they have Lerner´s emails.

We won´t know for six months.

The most corrupt and criminal administration ever to dominate Boomtown and the country, will find a way to wiggle out of this one. They are simply intent on playing out the 2 year clock until they can fade away into a very lucrative "private life".

Koskinen is an immoral creep of incredible proportions. In a sane life with a smidgen of morality, this man´s guilt would crush him physically and spiritually.

If these tape are from an outside source, the IRS must not be allowed to handle them. Otherwise a mysterious gremlin will destroy 30% of the e-mails.

Lois Lerner knows what is in those emails. Now is the time to contact her lawyer and tell him this is her last chance to tell all about who she contacted in the white House and what they said. If she does not ,no immunity will ever be offered again. When the emails are revealed, she is destined for the slammer for sure. She may well decide to throw Obama under the bus.

I suspect that those two different judges requiring that the IT folks submit a report, under oath, within a week are the primary cause that the tapes reappeared. Those IT people wouldn´t want to go to jail to cover for the political bosses.

Nothing of substance will be known until at least November 5th. After that, it´ll be the big WH middle finger to everyone involved. Obama will declare the IRS workers as overworked an underpaid, thus resulting in a pay increase for everyone.

A spokesperson for the State Department refuses to say if any missing contract files from March 2008 - March 2014 were stored electronically. The American Thinker began covering the case of the missing records for $6 billion on April 5, 2014, soon after the State Department’s Office of Inspector General released two unclassified memos dated March 20, 2014. (snip)The fact that Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State for four of the six years covered by the missing files may explain the reluctance of the State Department to answer simple, factual inquiries about the missing records.

Ever since the Republicans regained control of the House in 2010, some conservatives have sought to replace Rep. John Boehner as speaker. Boehner has managed to fight off challenges to his leadership in the past. But there appears to be a serious revolt brewing among a growing number of conservatives who are unhappy with Boehner´s approach to the 2014 mid terms. The Hill thinks that the current challenge to Boehner is the most serious to date: The strategy — for now — seems disorganized and fluid: Find a way to push the Speaker’s race to a second ballot, create turmoil in the conference,

Last night’s air strikes against ISIS in Syria used up 47 Tomahawk missiles. The Tomahawk is an extremely effective weapon, capable of delivering its ordnance precisely, without risking a pilot’s life. But the defense cuts of the Obama administration call for procuring only one hundred Tomahawks next year. Christopher Cavas of Defense News reported last May: Weapons procurement showed striking reductions from last year’s plans. Then, the Navy planned to buy 980 Tactical Tomahawks, the primary cruise missile in use throughout the fleet. The new plan shows only 100 missiles in 2015 and none thereafter.

Rotherham has made its splash, had its fifteen minutes and is gone, assuredly with a sigh of relief from the media and politicians on both sides of the big pond. For thirteen years, something on the order of 1400 girls in Rotherham, a typical Midlands industrial city of roughly a quarter-million, were carefully groomed and then turned out as whores by members of the city’s Pakistani Muslim minority. The motive of the Muslims is transparent: Mohammed said it was okay. The reaction of the city’s populace is less so. For thirteen years, not a government official, not a policeman, not a

ince the U.S. is largely moderate to conservative, it was hard to imagine how someone as far left as Barack Obama twice won the presidency. After the election was over, we learned how the Democrats’ data mining operation succeeded in bringing to the polls the outlying constituencies he needed to win (given the normally low turnout of the rest of the voters). Part of that mining for voters involved targeting messages designed to emotionally appeal to them, given that “belief” once formed in these peoples’ minds defeats any rational arguments.
