Greenpeace in Chaos as Staff

Greenpeace is in turmoil after more than 40 staff signed a letter calling two of the group’s most senior officials to resign. The group faced ridicule last month after it emerged that Husting chose to regularly fly between his home in Luxembourg and work in Amsterdam, leaving a massive carbon footprint. [Snip] The letter has spread among the group’s employees and has now been signed by almost all important campaign leaders and senior staff. Only Dutch director Sylvia Borren is missing, as she believes that dismissal is unnecessary. Staff are also angry at Husting’s salary, believing it to be far

The distance between the two cities is 198 miles. That amounts to a full day´s travel for a round trip. I can understand the Chief taking the one hour flights instead. However, it would have been much more efficient and in tune with the Greenpeace objectives to have moved his family to Amsterdam.

OOOOH.
Hustings´ air commute leaves a massive carbon footprint, and his salary is more than a good socialist should need.
I bet he eats meat, too, and maybe drinks 20 oz. sodas. And he probably wears leather and maybe fur, too!
I love it when socialists fight amongst themselves to argue who is "more committed to the cause."

I´m sure he doesn´t like burning all that carbon but he´s taken on the burden for the greater good.

I went to the trouble to look up train schedules since Europoeans are so fond of trains. The fastest train makes the trip in 2 hours 22 min. I don´t think 5 hours of travel is too much along with a day´s work. I regularly drive 3 hours to visit family for the day and drive back home at night. They´re all elitist communists and their idiotic enablers. I don´t know how they can´t see the message in Animal Farm and 1984; maybe they´ve never read them.

Hypocrisy is a hallmark of anti social personality disorder. Probably narcissism. The individual actually lacks the ability to see it. They are not self aware.

Our president and first lady are prime examples of such disorders. So are the Clintons.

"All animals are equal, except that some animals are more equal."

Just like Animal Farm the Commie leaders are always more equal.

One of the co-founders of Greenpeace has repeatedly said that he regrets that they failed to shut down the organization when they achieved all their original goals in the first few years. Once they met their original goals, the founders lost interest, drifted away and the communists and ecoNazis took over.

Syrian nuclear activities divide global

Western states defeated a Russian proposal on Friday to remove Syria´s alleged past nuclear activities from the agenda of meetings of the UN atomic agency, diplomats said. But in a vote that highlighted how polarizing the global political debate has become, China supported Russia´s initiative while only about half of the nations on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board - 17 out of 35 - voted against. Western diplomats argued that Damascus should be kept under pressure to cooperate with the IAEA´s long-stalled inquiry, even though this has hardly advanced in the last three years as the country descended into bloodshed.

A Mexican ecologist has blown the whistle on the corruption, lies and incompetence of the wind industry - and on the massive environmental damage it causes in the name of saving the planet. Patricia Mora, a research professor in coastal ecology and fisheries science at the National Institute of Technology in Mexico, has been studying the impact of wind turbines in the Tehuantepec Isthmus in southern Mexico, an environmentally sensitive region which has the highest concentration of wind farms in Latin America. The turbines, she says in an interview with Truthout, have had a disastrous effect on local flora and

Some 23.9 percent of Americans polled from August 23 through September 16 said they strongly supported or tended to support the idea of their state breaking away, while 53.3 percent of the 8,952 respondents strongly opposed or tended to oppose the notion. The U.S. Senate unanimously adopted the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act on Thursday evening, reports JNS. The bipartisan bill, which declares Israel to be a “major strategic partner,” was authored by Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Roy Blunt (R-MO) and had 81 co-sponsors. [Snip] Besides generally elevating the status of the U.S.-Israel relationship, the bill expands the Jewish state’s trade status to expedite export licensing, increases cooperation on energy and other technologies, maintains Israel’s qualitative military edge in the Middle East, and increases U.S. weapons stockpiles in Israel as well as Israeli access to them.

David Cameron this morning skewered Labour leader Ed Miliband with a pledge to introduce ´English votes for English laws´ after Scotland rejected independence. The Prime Minister said Scotland had had its say and it was now time to listen to the ´millions of voices of England´ by banning Scottish MPs voting on English-only laws. Scotland has voted against independence. Here’s a quick look at what happens--and doesn’t happen--now: The Union stands. That is all. A political union that has lasted for 307 years continues. Scotland remains part of the United Kingdom. Border posts are not thrown up in the Cheviots. Britain’s nuclear-armed submarines remain based in Scotland. The pound, though it may wobble, does not tumble on currency markets. Billions of pounds invested in Scottish banks mostly stays put. As do the banks. The biggest constitutional crisis in British history does not happen. Alex Salmond has some tricky questions to answer.
