White flags baffle NYPD:
‘We’re lucky it wasn’t a bomb’

Washington Times, by Jessica Chasmar

The New York Police Department still can’t explain how a group of five individuals were able to hoist two white flags atop the Brooklyn Bridge, which is supposed to be heavily monitored. Police haven’t identified any of the suspects responsible or any motive behind the mysterious white flags — which would typically signal a surrender or truce — flying high atop the New York City landmark. “We’re lucky they just put a flag up there — and not a bomb,” a law enforcement source told the New York Post. “It’s an embarrassment.” Surveillance footage showed five individuals crossing the bridge about 3 a.m. Tuesday. They climbed a locked gate

Comments:
When the next epitaph is written by historians someday in the future, this statement will sum it all up perfectly. (Don´t forget that the NYPD also called it an "embarrassment"). Under 0bama, America is NOT safe.

Nothing like telling the enemy multiple times how vulnerable We are. Add 60 Minutes guided tour of our nuclear system, and what could go wrong ?

It is only a matter of time.

I´ve got a good idea how they did it. I´d be willing to bet that you had a bunch of guards who were products of Affirmative Action who were mostly asleep at the switch, and the ones who weren´t didn´t think it was their job to check on anything....that´s how.

It seems we have mismanagement of money everywhere. NYC is full of well-paid police, security, city officials, thousands of bureaucrats and there is no excuse for this "embarrassment." Add to that the unions who protect incompetence and there ya go.

In NYC a Muslim named Osama brought down two buildings and killed 3000 of US. So what do the American People in their amazing wisdom do? They elect a person named Obama, whose first name refers to the horse of Allah.

Historians will conclude that America in our times was full of self-hating Americans - call them Progressives/Democrats.

After intense investigation these were found not to be flags at all. These were diapers leading directly to the WH. Seems the dryer was in need of repair...the quantity of used, very dirty diapers extremely high and the only solution was to use the bridge in order to hang and dry. The occupiers of our White House must be in dire straits and it is scaring the S*** out of them. WARNING..This will occur again...unless the dryer is repaired.

John Boehner Welcomes Your Ideas

In a speech yesterday at the American Enterprise Institute, Boehner laid out five steps for rebuilding the American economy: tax reform, lower spending, tort reform, fewer regulations and more charter schools. "If we were to do these five things," he said, "you can reset the economic foundation in America for the next two or three generations and beyond." The singular importance of those five ideas lasted about two minutes, until a questioner asked Boehner if it wasn´t perhaps important to address immigration reform. And while he was at it, would he like to talk about how to fix the housing market?

The Kansas Supreme Court ruled Thursday to grant Democrat Chad Taylor’s request to be removed from the Kansas Senate ballot, dealing a blow to Sen. Pat Roberts’s (R-Kan.) chances for reelection this fall as he faces a surging independent candidate. The court’s decision now removes an obstacle from self-funding independent Greg Orman’s path, making Roberts´s reelection race far more complicated and potentially upending the battle for the Senate. Brusied from a bitter GOP primary, polling has shown Roberts was vulnerable in a matchup, but still competitive. But with Taylor out of the race, polling has shown Orman

A civil lawsuit working its way through the federal appeals process alleges that a 14-year-old middle school girl was raped after school officials used her as bait to try to catch a male student “in the act” after she reported his sexual harassment. (Snip) When the girl told a teacher’s aide that a boy had been harassing her and asking her to meet him in the bathroom for sex, the aide suggested she meet him so that school officials could then go in to witness and stop the harassment, the lawsuit says. A bright fireball that flashed across the night sky in the US earlier this month was more than likely a Russian spy satellite falling from orbit, meteorologists say. As it flew over the Rockies at roughly 10.30pm on 2 September (UTC: 3 September at 4.25am), 38 people reported witnessing the “slowest and brightest” meteor shower they’d ever seen. However, not all is as it appears, after Mike Hankey, the American Meteor Society’s Operations Manager explains that it was probably pieces of a spy satellite that had fallen from orbit and had broken up over Colorado and Wyoming – something the Russians deny.

Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate.
