Smoke Detector
PJ Media, by Richard Fernandez

Original Article

Posted By:Hazymac, 7/23/2014 6:48:33 PM

The New York Times notices the smoke collecting on the ceiling of the auditorium of the world and wonders whether there might be something to worry about. (Snip) Like Sherlock on the trail, he suggests a common cause links them all. But we are advised not to worry, because the president is hot on the trail of the mystery; trying to identify the factor that connects all these catastrophes. Patience is advised, it is not elementary, my dear Watsons. The world is a complex place which only the the very smartest can understand. Little wonder then that in recent days the president seems almost to be suffering geopolitical whiplash.

fta: Rarely has a president been confronted with so many seemingly disparate foreign policy crises all at once — in Ukraine, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere — but making the current upheaval more complicated for Mr. Obama is the seemingly interlocking nature of them all.

I bet we can identify the common cause linking them all, eh?

Another perceptive, excellent article from Mr. Richard Fernandez.

FTA:
“One of the fundamental tests of leadership is an ability to include one’s self in the critique. One of the most disturbing things about Obama’s style of management is his absolute inability to consider he might have something to do with the catastrophe. The Usual Suspects are anyone but his magnificent self.”

and

“But no one in Washington seems capable of divining where the smoke on the ceiling is coming from because it’s coming from them”.

All of us out here are choking from the smoke but are hoping and longing for just the tiniest breath of fresh air to help sustain us until the toxic fire and its debris are permanently extinguished and cleared from our midst.

The world is a complex place but the key to unraveling complexity is knowing where to start looking. It lies in finding the key.

Armageddon like situations are raring their heads everywhere in the world and Obama puts on blinders, ear plugs and acquiesces. Then he plays golf, fundraises and attacks the Republicans.

Obama is clueless(purposely) and keyless(purposely)and he seems to want chaos to reign now and forever, world wide?

Smoke detector? If only!...If only more of the leadership in America, and the rest of The Free World, would take the time to read Lucianne.com on a daily basis, our beautiful planet would be a much safer and more prosperous heavenly body today.

It´s a fact. Most LDotters saw this massive "train wreck," otherwise known as "The Hope & Change Express," careening down the tracks years ago.

FTA: So he spends himself unstintingly trying to untie the Gordian Knot. But here’s a quick solution. Cut the Gordian Knot: resign. That will work if the nexus of these problems is the president himself.

These geopolitical problems are happening now because our enemies recognize that they´ve finally got a patsy prez, a noisemaker and a vacation taker who´ll blame the mess on the Republicans and expect to be believed. He should be hounded by a steady drumbeat of calls for his resignation for the good of the country. Of course, he won´t do that, but there is good in popping his illusions about his alleged greatness; his only great talent is lying.

FTA: The one crisis that Peter Baker omits to mention is the inability of the American political system to diagnose and fix itself.

Some of us fear that the only thing that might turn this Nation away from its one way street away from the First World will be an economic and strategic disaster that makes 9/11 look insignificant by comparison. Sure, Obama´s name is destined to be mud someday, after the nation gets muddy (and bloody) first. The theater will burn.

Obama´s skin color and his real religious preference are a deadly mixture for the USS America, which is being tossed on the dangerous shoals called Political Correctness.

Hopefully, America´s black Christian sailors will wake up and try to sail this listing ship back to port and put it into dry dock to fix the gaping hole below the waterline.

The white sailors of the USS America developed a bad case of "what if´s" back in 2009 and, thus, sailed too close to the shoals of "Never criticize the Kenyan". Every time they got close to those shoals, the "sirens" who were hiding in the shallow waters would sing a loud, terrible song that sounded like "racists". Thus, the white sailors were filled with fear that if they didn´t reverse course, the ship would be capsized. They tried to figure out a way to make nice with the sharks and their pilot fish, the Democrats. All but to no avail.

Fernandez writes another scathing analysis of our Idiot-in-Chief. The more that his plans crumble around him, the more energy he puts into his fundraising because it´s the only thing he´s ever been good at. Give a stupid speech, ask for money. Give a stupid speech, ask for money, which makes the hollywood crowd and his high school and college groupies even less intelligent for giving him their attention.

That line about the American political system unable to diagnose and fix itself is so true. All we seem to see in DC now, with the exception of a very few, is the two major political parties vying to be the ones that control the WH, Congress, and Judicial branches of government. The very idea of doing something about international or ever internal problems isn´t to be taken very seriously. The only thing they are really concerned about is to get more people of the same thinking as themselves get elected so they can become the majority.

I´m begging for another revolution. Maybe we can get that retiring Marine general to head it.

It’s human nature to want to relieve the pain and suffering of another human being. And there’s no denying the testimony of thousands of patients who say marijuana has helped them endure the nausea, the loss of appetite and other symptoms associated with the treatments for cancer, AIDS and other debilitating diseases. That explains the polls showing public support for Amendment 2, which would allow the use of marijuana in Florida by patients suffering from debilitating medical conditions. As the November elections get closer, voters in Florida will be bombarded with advertisements for candidates left and right. Throw in issue advocacy advertisements, and you’d be forgiven for wishing that political money would just evaporate. America’s labor unions, which have denounced the U.S. Supreme Court for expanding the rights of nonprofit organizations to make public statements on election matters, would seem to be the bedraggled swing voter’s ally in taking back his television. Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory. The 2014 election is rapidly looking like something new
