Senator Manchin: What My Daughter
Did Should Be Illegal

National Journal, by Ron Fournier

You´re a United States senator from a state struggling to compete in the world economy. Your daughter runs a giant drug company with roots in your state, and the firm makes a fortune from taxpayers via Medicare and Medicaid. Everything´s cozy and connected and perfectly Washington – until your daughter renounces the firm´s U.S. citizenship to reduce its U.S. taxes. What do you do? If you´re Joe Manchin, you duck a reporter´s telephone call for six days, then emerge for an interview in which you vow to make your daughter´s actions, from this day forward, illegal. Sort of. The West Virginia Democrat told

Perhaps Congress should consider lowering the Corporate tax rate so companies would not benefit from leaving the USA? Naw, that would reduce Congress´ power.

Yet another Dem loudly proclaiming how much he hates freedom. You want to move to the Netherlands, China, whatever.... that´s your right. But for the liberty-hating liberals there must be a law written to stifle your free will.

When the Demonrats and RINOs team up to make America an unprofitable business environment, businesses will leave, go bankrupt or never be created. This leads to fewer jobs, fewer products and LESS tax revenue.

This extremely simple economic fact is only surprising to Marxists, fools and especially Marxist fools.

It´s doubtful the senator´s daughter would show for Thanksgiving. She would be cautious as her dad has shown in the past few years that he has a gun and knows how to use it. Wasn´t he successful at shooting thru a law of his own BFF, o-the-dark-won? Should he request that his daughter go out with him to hunt wild turkey, caution is the key.

When will WV, a supposedly conservative state, clean its stables of these Democrats. This November at least, WV will very likely vote to replace one of its two Dem senators with a Republican. And like AL now and LA and AR, eventually, those switched-party seats will not in my remaining lifetime go back to the Democrats.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is a very famous and popular scientist. He even has a TV show. And wears a cool astronomical vest. Only he’s not infallible. This rather basic truth has been established over the past couple weeks, over much resistance and at the cost of much abuse, by Sean Davis of the lively new conservative website, the Federalist. Davis dug into a handful of just-so stories repeated by Tyson in his public lectures, the point of which is to make himself — and by extension, his audience — feel superior to the dolts who aren’t nearly as scientific as he is. There may be a pattern involving the IRS losing e-mails and other key computer records. For months, the House Oversight Committee has been pursuing the lost e-mails of Lois Lerner and other figures in the IRS tax-exempt organization scandal. Now, the private-jet company NetJets is claiming in a lawsuit that as part of its tax dispute with the agency the IRS “wiped clean a number of computer hard drives containing emails and other electronic documents that the Government was required to produce.” NetJets sued the IRS in 2011, claiming that it improperly applied a ticket tax on users of its aircraft that

Government watchdog groups and transparency advocates are asking the Obama administration to review its policy of having the White House sign off on an expanded number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests—a procedure they say causes significant delays. In a letter to the White House released Monday, 25 transparency organizations said the Obama administration’s policy of reviewing FOIA requests that contain so-called “White House equities” has “caused significant confusion and delay among agencies in their compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.” According to a 2009 memo from the White House Counsel to all agency heads and general counsels, the White

Ugly Senate fight could await

President Obama has a pretty obvious deadline for nominating a successor to departing Attorney General Eric Holder. If Democrats lose control of the Senate in November, they´ll still run things until newly-elected members arrive in January. So just to be safe, if the president wants guaranteed confirmation of a new attorney general, he´ll need to pick one soon. That way, even if Republicans win the Senate, and even if Obama´s choice is unpopular with the GOP, lame-duck Democrats will still be able to steamroll the opposition and confirm a new Attorney General. But it could be very, very ugly. The White House

President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals. That decision tossed out the convictions on money laundering and conspiracy charges. At that time Justice Melissa Goodwin wrote “The fundamental problem with the state´s case was its failure to prove proceeds of criminal activity,” according to a September 19th report on Breitbart News.
