Take a trip inside the mysterious Siberian

Footage has emerged from deep inside the mysterious crater that has suddenly appeared in Siberia. The crater on the Yamal Peninsula - known as the ´end of the world´ to locals - was caused by aliens, a meteorite, a stray missile, or an explosive gas cocktail released due to global warming, according to theories last week. Russian scientists recently returned from the first expedition to look inside the giant hole which was previously spotted by helicopter. Their footage highlights a darkening around the rim which was earlier seen as evidence of heat possibly from an explosion during the crater´s creation. ´They found the crater

Interesting article with great photos. Thanks for posting. Perhaps the major conclusion was that the hole is a "pingo" and might have been caused by global warming. Wouldn´t you know it?

What kind of stupid statement is that? An ovals doesn´t have a diameter it has radii.

And scorching? Didn´t realize global warming was so site specific.

Why is there such a large build-up of earth around the edge. Looks more like something hit the area from above and pushed the earth up around the hole. Doesn´t look like a ´sink hole´ but more of a bunker-busting bomb experiment. Lots of videos available showing sink holes-----This certainly doesn´t fit that description.

The hole was caused by something welling up from inside. Soil around the parameter is heaved up. 3rd picture from last shows cross section of topsoil and subsoil.

Probably a column of ice pushing up from under the surface. Once it broke the surface, the ice melted, leaving a hole. Relatively smooth sides have vertical striations, like a glaciers make.

Ebola has reached our shores from Africa. Dozens of children are reportedly suffering paralysis from a deadly virus with unknown origins. Medical providers across the country have warned of a looming public-health crisis as communicable diseases spread unmonitored and uncontrolled. Other countries are cracking down. But America is stuck on open-borders stupid. The Diversity Visa (DV) program, to take just one glaring example of government insanity, is still going. On October 1, the State Department opened the annual DV random lottery to applicants from around the world. Yes, it’s completely random, like a Powerball drawing. While most folks have had their eyes diverted by the Ebola scare, another illness is hitting hundreds of kids especially hard this year. Some have become paralyzed by the illness, and others have died. Calling it the "mystery illness," doctors say it is a strain of viruses called Enterovirus 68, and it has hit kids from California to the East Coast. First diagnosed in the U.S. in 1962, the virus has been rare here. But this year it has exploded for unknown reasons. As Breitbart News reported, since mid-September, more and more cases of this mysterious respiratory illness have broken out, but

Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on Friday said restricting travel between the U.S. and West Africa would likely “backfire” and put Americans more at risk of contracting Ebola. Appearing on MSNBC, Frieden was asked about potentially prohibiting air travel between the U.S. and West Africa, where the Ebola outbreak is most widespread. He said that such a restriction would likely be ineffective and would make it harder for health officials to root out the virus. “The only way we’re going to get to zero risk is by stopping the outbreak at the source” in West Africa,

Well that didn´t take long. Less than 24 hours after President Obama commented that his "policies are on the ballot" in the 2014 election, Sen. Pat Roberts´s (R-Kan.) campaign became what appears to be the first Republican -- of many to come -- to use the remarks in a campaign ad. As The Fix Boss wrote shortly after Obama´s comments on Thursday, they were basically a gift-wrapped campaign ad for Republicans trying to tie red-state Democrats to Obama´s unpopularity. The Fix team wasn´t entirely prescient, though. I predicted that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) or former senator Scott Brown (R-Mass.) would

Yet despite the nail-biting closeness of state contests to decide which party will control the Senate, Michelle Obama has been largely absent from the campaign trail so far. But she also believes some Senate Democrats have been insufficiently supportive of her own efforts to end childhood obesity. This month, though,
