Ukraine: Rebels Have Taken

HRABOVE, Ukraine -- Separatist rebels have taken away all the 196 bodies that workers recovered from the Malaysian Airlines plane crash site to an unknown location, Ukraine´s emergency services said Sunday. Associated Press journalists saw the rebels putting bagged bodies onto trucks at the crash site Saturday in eastern Ukraine and driving them away. On Sunday, AP journalists saw no bodies at the crash site and emergency workers were searching the sprawling area only for body parts. Ukrainian spokeswoman Nataliya Bystro said Sunday that the emergency workers had been laboring under duress and were forced to give the bodies to the armed

And exactly how will Mr. Mulatto address this issue. Or will he even attempt to try.

All the victims and families may still not be known, but be assured there are prayers going up for them.

I don´t understand the problem in identifying the bodies or saying where they came from. Airline doesn´t have a list of passengers on board?

This is so sad. Of course Obama will demand nothing, he will give Vlad the Merciless a pass. All these people want are their loved ones.

#2, they have a list, they have bodies, they have to match up the body to the list. It may take forensics and they may only have parts (not a complete body). They want to be able to give the right body to the right family. But it would appear that the rebels will not allow this. This has to be done immediately, also how are the bodies being stored?

Vlad is screwing with our beloved leader. The shame is for the families. My guess is that Vlad will now do something to ingratiate himself by returning the bodies. When a bully shows some kindness and restraint, weak people are overjoyed. As for the perpetrator, there is enough evidence on the ground, with recordings, surveillance, NSA to establish what happened. The black boxes would be nice but not necessary. In the end it will be business as usual.

One word from Putin, and the cover-up would stop. If Ukraine were responsible, as he says, why wouldn´t a full and open investigation be in Russia´s interest? Getting to the truth, after all, would reveal Ukraine´s responsibility. A crash scene littered with bodies would ultimately damage Ukraine´s case more than that of that of the rebels.

The fact that the "word" has not been given for the rebels to fully cooperate with international investigators, the black boxes held even for a day and their contents possibly compromised each hour that they remain in Russian hands, the BUK launch vehicle being recorded returning across the border to Russia, and the crash scene now being compromised and "sanitized" by the removal of bodies and other evidence points the blame back at the Russians and their proxies.

Mr. Putin´s actions via his rebel proxies in covering-up what happened speak louder than his words.

Be concerned. Be very, very concerned. History has taken an ominous turn.

Malasia acts like they really don´t want to know what happened. They also don´t want the bodies back. They act like they would prefer to just ignore the whole thing, as they did over the other missing airliner.

AS for the Ukrainian rebels acting like monsters...This is a war zone! Human life there is very cheap. Only a few weeks ago they were shooting civilians dead in the streets by the score and no one said a word in protest. It´s all over Youtube for all to witness. Now suddenly acting like monsters in a war zone an outrage?.

The world really has been far too isolated from real war for far too long.

before we jump too easily to a conclusion about this, let us think long and hard about the fact that we too have a torn and bloody border problem, where it would be simpl to stage an atrocity for which we would be blamed just as easily as we are blaming the separatists. It seems possible to me the separatists were gamed. And it seems possible to me our own border zealots will be gamed the very same way. then the world will truly be in flames. Let us be cautious.

Conservatives are warning President Obama against using a lame-duck session of Congress to push through Attorney General Eric Holder´s replacement, even as the White House signals its intention to fill the post quickly. Holder’s announcement that he will resign as the nation’s top law enforcement officer reverberated Thursday around Washington, where speculation has already begun to mount about who might fill the Cabinet position. Republican lawmakers quickly vowed that whomever Obama taps would be subject to intense scrutiny following an era when the GOP was often at odds with the Justice Department. But even if, as many predict, Republicans reclaim control of the

Of the countless lessons we’ve learned from liberals over the past few years, none is more critical than this: If Democrats find an issue important enough, and if doing something feels like the “right thing,” Barack Obama has the power to act without any regard for separation of powers. So what makes anyone believe that war would be any different? This week the president okayed airstrikes against ISIS targets—allying us with Assad Bashar, possibly Iran and definitely Qatar—using an unrelated 13-year old AUMF as his legal mandate. Seems like a big deal. It might even be a good idea. Yet, even

Changes to the forms required for firearms purchases asking questions about the buyer’s race and ethnicity have drawn strong reaction from gun dealers, privacy advocates and lawmakers. Form 4473, required for an over-the-counter sale by a federally-licensed dealer, now asks first whether a buyer is Hispanic or Non-Hispanic, followed by a question delving into more detailed race-based information. Critics want to know why the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives quietly made the change in 2012. Sen Roy Blunt, R-Mo., sent a letter to ATF Director Todd Jones asking why the information was being collected and whether the data had ever been

President Obama should be commended for yesterday’s air attacks against ISIS. In addition, his decision to bomb the jidhadist Khorasan group, which is believed to be plotting attacks against the West, is praiseworthy. As to this affiliate of al Qaeda, Obama seems, for once, to be acting rather than reacting. Even so, I tend to agree with Max Boot who argues that the most consequential news from the Levant yesterday is not the air attacks, but rather advances by ISIS on the ground. In Iraq, ISIS attackers in Anbar Province reportedly killed more than 300 Iraqi soldiers after a weeklong siege

This year’s batch includes actor-activists Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Ashley Judd and Eva Longoria. The biggest celebrity, of course, is typically the former president himself, who provides participants with plenty of photo ops as he guides the conversation like a cross between an eminent professor and an ebullient Oscar host. WASHINGTON - A record 20 percent of adult Americans, or 42 million people, have never married, marking a U.S. demographic and social shift, according to an analysis released on Wednesday. The rise in never-married adults is caused by several factors, including later ages for marriage and more people living together and raising children outside of wedlock, the report by the Pew Research Center said. In 2012, 23 percent of men and 17 percent of women 25 and older had never been married, marking a widening gap between the sexes. In 1960, 10 percent of men and 8 percent of women had never
