Washington Post, by Zachary A. Goldfarb

President Obama, resisting calls from several prominent faith leaders, will not include a new exemption for religiously affiliated government contractors when he issues an executive order Monday barring discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, the White House said Friday. (Snip) Since then, faith leaders have urged him to include an exemption for government contractors with a religious affiliation, such as some social service agencies. White House officials said Friday that the new executive order would not include such an exception. But Obama will preserve an exemption put in place by former president

Why does this guy get to decree things and people take him seriously? Does no one recall how things are really supposed to work?

What is it with him and the obsession with LGBT? We are almost at freaking war, planes are being blown out of the sky over Ukraine, our borders have dissolved and disease is spreading, Benghazi still has no accountability, the IRS is running roughshod over conservative American citizens, the POTUS is eating burgers while his wife is ready to beat Americans to a bloody pulp if they don´t eat their spinach, he´s approved oil exploration where it isn´t needed and blocked it where it is needed, .....

....and he´s now telling Christian business owners that they have no right to exercise their religion in their businesses when it comes to LGBTs??

What the farg is the fargin matter with this man? Is he demented, possessed or just plain evil? This is insane.

Where is his sense of decorum, of dignity, of propriety, of decency? It makes one nostalgic for the Cold War days.

OPEN LETTER TO POTUS:
We will not embrace that which our religion forbids.
We will not eat your wife´s organic kiwi, kale, whirled peas, and arugula salad made with dairy- and gluten-free soy dressing.
We will not do as you say.
We will not kiss your ring or lick your boots.
We will not bow.
We are Americans.

I think these relies-based organizations are about to tell Obama to pound sand when some gay or transexual goes to the Southern Baptists or Catholics and demand to be ordained on the strength of Obama´s illegal executive order.

I guess the name isn´t copyrighted, but the Southern Baptist Convention stands with the Catholic Church in their teachings about homosexuality, abortion, etc. Neither is the "Catholic" "Faith"-based organization Obama met with officially affiliated with the Roman Church.

Lie-berals want to destroy Christianity. They accomplish this by removing it from every aspect of our culture.

It´s been removed from the schools and public squares. Now all the good Christian groups that do so much charitable work will be removed from anything having to do with the government. Children, the poor and the ill will suffer the most, as they will now have to depend on God-less government bureaucrats to assist them.

But total dependence on the government is what lie-berals have wet dreams about...

Three days after the United States unexpectedly launched air strikes against an al-Qaida cell in Syria, officials are offering varied and conflicting explanations on the precise nature of the threat posed by the group. Hours after Tomahawk missiles slammed into buildings near Aleppo believed to be used by Khorasan, an obscure group said to be focused on exporting terrorism from Syria, the US military described it as involved in “imminent attack plotting” against western targets. Yet it is unclear what Khorasan was planning, how far that planning advanced, and whether the US itself was a target. Nor is the US confident as yet that it has

During the recession, people saw their credit card limits slashed as their interest rates pushed higher. Now that the economy is stronger, card issuers are more willing to give customers a break or a better deal– if only they would ask. About 90 percent of credit cardholders who asked issuers to forgive late payment fees had their requests granted, according to a new survey by CreditCards.com. About two-thirds of people who asked for a lower interest rate were approved. “It can’t hurt to ask,” says Matt Schulz, a senior industry analyst for CreditCards.com. Despite those high success rates, the report found that people hardly ever

Member states of the International Atomic Energy Agency rejected on Thursday an Arab resolution criticizing Israel over its assumed atomic arsenal, in a diplomatic victory for Western states that opposed the initiative. Arab states had submitted the non-binding resolution – which called on Israel to join a global anti-nuclear weapons pact – to the annual meeting of the 162-nation UN nuclear agency, in part to signal their frustration at the lack of progress to move towards a Middle East free of nuclear weapons. The United States and its allies argued that the resolution, if adopted, would be counterproductive. Fifty-eight countries

Eric Holder is resigning as attorney general. Now all official Washington cares about is how, when, and if his as-yet-unnamed successor will be confirmed. Answering that question is very complex -- since it involves Congress and the coming election, among other factors. (Snip) Barring confirmation hearings in the lame-duck session of Congress (or earlier), which seems unlikely, Republicans would be in a much stronger position when it comes to President Obama´s options to replace Holder. It would be the first time that a Republican-controlled Senate would be tasked with confirming or rejecting one of Obama´s Cabinet
