Joan Walsh to McCain: ‘Cowardly’
Is Putting Palin a ‘Heartbeat

Mediaite, by Matt Wilstein

During an appearance on MSNBC’s PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton Friday evening, Salon columnist Joan Walsh took on Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for laying blame on President Barack Obama for yesterday’s shot down Malaysia Airlines passenger jet. McCain called Obama “cowardly” for refusing to intervene in Ukraine, but Walsh turned that word around on him. “It’s just been cowardly,” McCain said on Fox News’ Hannity last night. “It’s a cowardly administration that we failed to give the Ukrainians weapons with which to defend themselves,” he continued, suggesting that the Russian separatists who allegedly shot down the plane “may not even have

No....cowardly is being afraid of a real leader. Sarah is a gift to our generation. Permit me to provide an example of the absolute Godless ignorance of most of the media.

Do you remember when Sarah said, "If I die, I die"? (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/07/palin-all-options-are-on-_n_226787.html)

Her statement went right over the head of our Godless media. Sarah was clearly paraphrasing the commonly cited Bible verse, Ester 4:16.

Our media wants to quote Shakespeare or Longfellow or Charles Dickens or John F. Kennedy. Why are they so familiar with number 202 or number 57 or number 320 and yet to not know Number 1. Godless.

Wow what judgment -- she has no problem with Obama as CINC, and has that kind of problem with SP.

Never argue with an idiot.....they´ll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Seems to cover any discussion about her.

I think McCain was wrong to pick Palin because of her lack of exposure to national problems. I didn´t think she was ready. But this is stupid. Palin would be a million times better as CIC than zippy. She wouldn´t run off to fundraisers at a time of crisis. She wouldn´t abandon our allies. She wouldn´t run up the debt on the backs of future generations. Joan is a moron.

What kind of commentator hasn´t noticed yet that Sarah Palin is right time and again before anyone else? She is one of the best political analysts in the country. And btw, I don´t like the idea of preparing an impeachment, but since it´s Sarah saying it, I wonder whether, again, what she says today is what we´ll all be saying in six months. It has happened several times. Yah I know about the politics of it. So does she.

The uglier the woman the more intense her hatred of Palin. Couple that with said female´s enthusiasm for killing unborn babies and you´ve got a psychotic Molotov cocktail ready to be lobbed at the nearest conservative.

Preferably another female, but a guy will do in a pinch.

It´s been years, and these people are still obsessed with Sarah Palin. Sarah must be doing something right.

Do you know why they (anti-God people) hate Sarah Palin so much? Same reason the Pharisees hated Jesus AND the Apostles and tried to KILL THEM...and they got away with it for a time. Most of them are in hell now. Anyway......they hate her because she´s educating people with what is right. She´s just simply telling the truth and basically TELLING ON THEM.....exposing THEIR DARKNESS and the things they HIDE to the LIGHT. And there is nothing more that the ENEMY hates than being exposed. That is the bottom line folks. Beware of these kind of people. Ye shall know them by their fruit.

Note: Read the Hillary Clinton-Saul Alinsky Letters here. Previously unpublished correspondence between Hillary Clinton and the late left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky reveal new details about her relationship with the controversial Chicago activist and shed light on her early ideological development. Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing. Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. The King fire in Northern California grew this weekend, destroying at least 10 homes, as officials worried that changing weather conditions could fuel the massive blaze even more. National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Clapp said meteorologists were watching closely to see whether shifting weather patterns early this week would generate winds similar to those present last week when the fire spread quickly. The blaze in Eldorado National Forest has grown to encroach on the Tahoe National Forest, officials said. It grew to 82,018 acres and was 10% contained as of Sunday morning, and more than 5,200 firefighters are battling the

A significant benefit of the Affordable Care Act is the opportunity to receive money-saving tax credits up front to cut the overall cost of health insurance, but now hundreds of thousands of consumers could owe back some of that money next April. Those affected took advance payments of the premium tax credit for health insurance. Some married couples could owe $600 or $1,500 or $2,500 or even more. It might feel like a raw deal for some who are already suffocating under the escalating costs of health insurance. "Health insurance is confusing enough, and now they´re adding the complexities of

Or in Todd’s new red-state-blue-stateish formulation, it’s Starbucks Nation vs. Chick-Fil-A country. The chain-based heuristic refers to urban areas that vote Democratic versus ex-urban and rural areas that vote Republican. In 2012 the battleground states favored urban, Starbucks-pocked areas, hence Obama’s win; in the upcoming election, the toss-up states are more rural,

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”
