Remember last summer, when President Obama appointed Joe Biden to head the Campaign to Cut Waste to root out wasteful government spending? Like you, we’ve been anxiously awaiting the results of the comprehensive report that’s surely coming any day now. In the meantime, it seems like he’s adding to the list of things to root out. Last month it was reported that every weekend he gets a lift from D.C. to his home in Wilmington, Delaware, via Air Force Two — the V.P.’s airplane — and Marine Two — the V.P.’s helicopter. And he often gets a mid-weekend lift back

Didn´t Lunch-box Joe brag about taking the train home every night when he was a Senator? If he lived close enough to commute how does it take a 747 and a helicopter to cover the same distance?

Don´t get me started about the Recovery Summer, overseeing the recovery spending and now cutting waste.

A D.C. Democratic political consultant has been connected to a federal corruption case involving an illegal $1 million loan to Rep. Chaka Fattah’s (D., Pa.) unsuccessful campaign for Philadelphia mayor in 2007. The consultant, Tom Lindenfeld, recently worked to gain a mayoral nomination for D.C. Council member Muriel Bowser. Lindenfeld reportedly signed a promissory note for the loan. Former Fattah aide Greg Naylor has already plead guilty to hiding the loan from investigators. The Washington Post writes: The news immediately prompted Bowser (D-Ward 4) to cut ties with Lindenfeld, even though he hadn’t been working closely with her campaign since

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa is demanding a key ObamaCare official testify before his committee after the Obama administration revealed Thursday hackers have successfully breached HealthCare.gov. Issa, R-Calif., said in a statement that Marilyn Tavenner, the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, “must testify” before his committee on Sept. 18 to discuss “transparency, accountability, and information security” regarding the federal ObamaCare website. “Considering this administration launched Healthcare.gov over the objections of CMS, it’s unsurprising that the website has suffered a ‘malicious attack,’” Issa said in a statement. “For nearly a year, the administration

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz came under fire yesterday for comments she made about Republican Governor Scott Walker that evoked images of domestic violence. Well, today, Wasserman Schultz sent out a statement walking back her comments. Yesterday she said, “Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality… What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch.” After condemnation by Republicans,

DENVER— When he vowed to spend as much as $50 million of his own money, and raise the same from like-minded donors, billionaire Tom Steyer electrified the political world with his promise to make climate change an issue in this year´s midterm elections. Those elections are now two months away, and the former hedge fund manager is running out of time. On pace to raise far less than the widely touted $100 million, his group has a relatively minor presence on the airwaves. Steyer now says his biggest impact this year will be an old-fashioned, get-out-the-vote ground game. "Our strategy

ISIS added MiG-21B Russian jets to their arsenal. The terror group also collected several SA-16 Manpads. This missile features a new seeker and modified launcher nose cover. The AIM-9 Sidewinder missile is a short-range air-to-air missile. The majority of Sidewinder variants utilize infrared homing for guidance. On August 3, 2014, ISIS released a video from Taqba airbase in Syria. The terrorists threatened Putin from on top of a Russian fighter jet:

It’s shocking,” said Stu Rothenberg, a nationally known political analyst. Roberts “is still going to be the favorite, but the fact that those of us in

FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that
