House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated today that if President Barack Obama takes actions that exceed his constitutional authority, the House of Representatives has no plans to use its own constitutional authority to withhold funding from those actions. At his weekly press briefing, CNSNews.com asked Boehner: “You’ve said you disagree with calls to impeach the president over abuse of power via executive actions. But under the Constitution the House actually has the power of the purse. So, if the President takes actions that exceed his Constitutional authority, will you withhold funding for those actions in the next must-pass

"Our" Republican party is no more. Where do we go from here? We vastly outnumber all other political parties, if you don´t count fraudulent voting. We should be able to right the Ship of State if we all get on the same page, organize and get out the vote. But will we,or just continue to complain, criticize, place blame and write about how we feel.

Calls for a new party will increase, because the time for it is fast approaching, if not already here. The conduct - not the words, but the conduct - of Boehner, McConnell, Barbour, Cantor, Ryan, and others in the GOPe only support the prospect.

What have they actually done - not words, not tears, not placating legislation that intentionally goes nowhere, not sequestration which they promptly abandoned when it actually started to work - but acts that have effectively stopped or even slowed down the statist juggernaut? They have done nothing in reality. Not with the current Emperor. Not when they previously held all the reins of power from 2001-2007.

A GOP Senate will change nothing. It is time for some ´strategic voting´ as a last ditch effort to reform the GOP in NOvember. Don´t just sit home or vote ´present´, write-in Mickey Mouse, or vote for a third party. Vote for the Democrat to make it more likely that Boehner, Cochaan, Graham, McConnell, and others actually lose. Granted, the thought is repulsive - but it must be done.

Should that fail, a new party will be the next step.

The Republican leadership in Congress are pinning their hopes on the November election, and are not about to mess up their election chances, by doing anything rash regarding Obama screwing up the country, at least up to the election, in other words Obama knows that he has free reign until November. Chances are, that at the right political time for the liberal Democrats, Obama will come out and proclaim another unlawful politically charged administrative amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. A lot of cheap labor Republicans will not object, because that amnesty will supply millions of new cheap foreign laborers to the legal US labor market who will be used to suppress wages in all industries where they can be hired.

Boehner would rather waste time and money with a dead end lawsuit that will drag out in the courts until Obama is gone rather than take action he already has the power, means, and most importantly the obligation his oath of office demands to stop Obama´s unconstitutional acts.

This is not only a deliberate failure to act by Boehner and the republican establishment, it is a calculated effort to assist and abet the crime being committed.

And your still a republican because....?

That is our dilemma, #16. However, past experience has shown that Democrats can be almost as dangerous when they are in the minority. That is because of weak leadership when Republicans are in power, and their over-eagerness to "reach across the aisle".

"Compromise" means very different things to the two parties.

Meanwhile, without genuine reform and change of the top leadership, the GOP will not provide effective opposition to the existential threat to the Republic.

Never forget Jim Jeffords, Scott Brown, Trent Lott, and other RINOs who helped snatch policy defeat from the jaws of electoral victory. Mississippi reveals that the GOPe will not willingly change their stripes.

After my article “Islamic State Atrocities: Products of Grievances’?” appeared, a reader sent me the following email, which makes similar points, specifically about Obama’s use of the word “expediency” to explain away Islamic State savageries: Dear Mr. Ibrahim, You are so correct to find Obama’s real point of view by paying close attention to his phraseology and vocabulary, something I find too few commentators take the time to do. In October 2014, the first patient on American soil infected with the Ebola virus sits in isolation in a Texas hospital, prompting calls for travel restrictions between the United States and Ebola-stricken countries. Meanwhile, four years ago, the administration of President Barack Obama moved with virtually no fanfare to abandon a comprehensive set of regulations which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had called essential to preventing international travelers from spreading deadly diseases inside the United States. The CDC had proposed the regulations in 2005 under the administration of George W. Bush, reported USA Today in 2010. The

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - At least two Colorado adults have died from complications from what may be enterovirus-68, the same strain that has afflicted hundreds, mostly children, across the country.
