John McCain: It´ll Take An Open
Borders GOP to Defeat Hillary

Breitbart InstaBlog, by Dan Riehl

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 7/18/2014 8:59:26 AM

Along with citing a list of moderate GOP governors with last names like Bush and Christie as potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates, "Arizona Sen. John McCain said Thursday that he believes Republicans can defeat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016, but only if they pass immigration reform." Calling Hillary Clinton the "odds-on favorite right now“ to win the White House in 2016, McCain added, "I expect it to be very competitive, except if we don’t enact some kind of comprehensive immigration reform, I do not see a way for us to really win a general election.”

Comments:
The real obstacle blocking the Republicans from winning national elections is its alliance with the crony capitalism of the Chamber of Commerce. The Reagan dems will never support those who advocate for depressed wages.

It will take a breath of fresh air to defeat Hillary.

Heard about a lady once told her pastor, "Pastor, what you need is unction". "What´s that?" asked the pastor. "I don´t know", responded the lady, "but you ain´t got it."

The GOP doesn´t have it either.

McCain isn´t all that bright and he has no problem in proving it. When he ran for POTUS, he had a secret weapon in Sarah Palin and he didn´t even realize it. He even let his inept campaign manager gag her so she could not get her effective patriotic message out to the people, thus allowing the overwhelmed democrats to mount the greatest smear campaign in history against her. Sarah unchained would have won him the presidency. I wonder if he even understands that to this day.

The GOP establishment, trying the same failed strategy over and over and over again hoping for a different outcome.

There is one litmus test that every Republican candidate must pass to move to the next round: do you support amnesty? If the answer is "yes" you´re out. Period.

And forget the mealy mouthed, slimy, obfuscating lies about securing the border first, pathways to citizenship, guest worker permits. All of it is just backdoor amnesty and everyone knows it. Anything less than sealing the southern border and allocating money for bus and plane tickets to deport 14 million illegal aliens is unacceptable.

I think we need to push the requirement that all members of Congress get an annual physical, and if they discover that a members mental capability is diminished, they have to step down.

A working group of lawmakers appointed by Speaker John Boehner released a set of recommendations to the House GOP conference Wednesday, including $1.5 in new spending and proposals to send the National Guard to the border and require the Obama administration to form a border security plan as tens of thousands of illegal alien children stream across the border. The proposal faces an uncertain future, with congressional Democrats digging in with opposition to amending a 2008 human trafficking law that has been cited as an obstacle to deporting the children while the recommendations produced pockets of opposition on the right.

I was reading a political blog the other day when my computer screen suddenly went dark. On came the burning question: "Who Would Make a Better Speaker of the House: John Boehner or Trey Gowdy?" Great. Just the sort of speculation that Republicans need in order to take our eyes off the burning issues of the day, and maybe even start a fight in the GOP ranks on an ill-timed matter. The downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 as it flew from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur yesterday, killing nearly 300 men, women and children, currently dominates today’s headline-rich environment. Accusations about who is behind this wholesale slaughter of innocents are serving as the drumbeats for war, and they are increasing in volume and tempo. Unfortunately, most Americans and those in the West will fall victim to thinly veiled propaganda pushed by the major news agencies and their captive pundits that is deliberately designed to sway public opinion to a specific agenda—an agenda of war. A flurry of legislative activity to address the border crisis is emerging as a major showdown between Tea Partiers and establishment politicians. Conservatives want to take the fight directly to President Barack Obama, whose executive amnesty policies they say is the primary cause of the problem. Leading the charge on the right are Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, and Ted Cruz (R-TX), the wily Tea Party freshman. The political establishment, on the other hand, prefers a legislated fix to a 2008 anti-human trafficking law, which they cite as a key cause of the problem. The

While liberal activists keep pushing Democrats to make more concessions regarding the flood of illegal immigrant children across the border, GOP consultants in D.C. are suggesting that Republicans roll over and approve President Barack Obama´s request for $3.7 billion without any concessions. And they are doing so to liberal outlets like the Huffington Post. Since only $400 million of those funds would actually go to strengthen border security, Republicans have been wary of giving the Obama administration a "blank check" without getting some concessions, like having National Guard troops on the border or changing a 2008 law that

The DCCC, the campaign arm for Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, has raised $22 million more than the House GOP for the fall elections. That result is surprising enough, as Democrats´ minority status gives them little political leverage in the House. More surprising, though, is that Democrats have raised almost three times as much money, $46 million v. $17 million, as Republicans from small-dollar grass roots donors. The political landscape and recent polling would suggest the opposite situation.

In a potentially crippling blow to Obamacare, a federal appeals court panel declared Tuesday that government subsidies worth billions of dollars that helped 4.7 million people buy insurance on HealthCare.gov are illegal. The 2-1 ruling said such subsidies can be granted only to people who bought insurance in an Obamacare exchange run by an individual state or the District of Columbia—not on the federally run exchange HealthCare.gov. "Section 36B plainly makes subsidies available in the Exchanges established by states," wrote Senior Circuit Judge Raymond Randolph in his majority opinion, where he was joined by Judge Thomas Griffith. "We reach this conclusion, frankly,

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund has filed a class action lawsuit against the city of Detroit for water shutoffs that members claim are racially motivated. The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department stopped service to about 7,200 buildings with overdue bills in June, compared to 1,570 in the same month last year. The issue gained national attention last month after activists appealed to the United Nations for help. The shutoffs are “being done in a discriminatory fashion,” the NAACP’s Veronica Joice told a local CBS affiliate. “They should at least take a look at whether there’s a better way to do this that doesn’t affect the most vulnerable citizens

Days after IRS officials said in a sworn statement that former top agency employee Lois G. Lerner’s computer memory had been wiped clean, the agency put out word to contractors Monday that it needs help to destroy at least another 3,200 hard drives. The Internal Revenue Service solicitation for “media destruction” services reflects an otherwise routine job to protect sensitive taxpayer information, but it was made while the agency’s record destruction practices remain under a sharp congressional spotlight. Congressional investigators of the IRS targeting of conservative groups have been hampered by the unexplained destruction of emails and other records of Ms. Lerner,

WASHINGTON —Polarization and partisanship are a plague on American politics. Political scientists have found that the two parties have each grown more ideologically homogeneous since the 1970s. The Senate hasn’t been so polarized since Reconstruction; the House has not been so divided since around 1900. As measured by laws passed, the current Congress is on track to be among the least productive in our republic’s history. How did this happen? One of the main causes has not gotten enough attention: the party primary system. The reasons behind the shocking primary defeat last month of Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia, who

While our current secretary of state John Kerry is under fire for sarcastically joking about Israel’s “pinpoint operation” in Gaza, one former secretary of state echoed those sentiments during an appearance on CNN Tuesday afternoon. Speaking to Wolf Blitzer, Madeleine Albright said she thinks Israel is “overdoing” it with its offensive into the Gaza Strip and losing some of its “moral authority” in the process. “I do think the point has to be made, if rockets are being shot at Israel, that Israel does have a right to defend itself,” Albright said. “But the bottom line is the question of proportionality.” Blitzer singled out her use of the word

When President Obama wraps up his 16-day summer break next month on Martha´s Vineyard, Mass., he will have taken all or part of 141 days of vacation, time split between summers on the island, winters in his native Hawaii and birthday weekends at his Chicago home. Obama has been criticized for taking costly and lengthy vacations, especially compared to the short trips most Americans take. The U.S. Travel Association told Secrets that the average American vacation lasts just 3.7 days. But his 141 days out of Washington are far less than the 378 former President George W. Bush took in
