Video: Pretty much everyone expressing
dismay over White House response
to world falling apart

Hot Air, by Mary Katharine Ham

Was the Bear loose today? If Valerie Jarrett wanted to get a hashtag going for the president, #smh might have worked. Shep wasn’t the only one baffled by the White House’s insistence on pretending today was a day for the normal shake run and spin. Via the Free Beacon, first ABC notes that the president seemed blindsided by Israel’s starting ground operations in Gaza today. Jonathan Karl cites the President’s and State Department’s optimism just hours earlier that a ceasefire would happen. Second, Gen. Barry McCaffrey wonders aloud to Brian Williams on NBC why State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki seems

The same thing happened in Rome sometime back. I believe the emperor was playing his violin.
In any case, different times but the same results.

Let´s not lose sight of the important thing here: Dear Leader Barack Hussein is a Democrat, and Democrats care about helping people. That´s why they are morally superior to us. Democrats are also concerned about social injustice and saving Mother Gaia from the ravages of constitutionalists. That´s why why they are smarter than everyone else.

So regardless of how Dear Leader appears to behave, we know he cares and is very smart. This is all that really matters, and all that will translate into votes in 2016. If Democrats were actually arrogant, ignorant, moral cowards, don´t you think the GOP would have exposed them by now, instead of constantly touting their "good intentions"? Hillary in 2016 is already almost a lock.

A little OT: During the Sepcial Report video, you can clearly hear Juan Williams talking over Dr. Krauthammer which I find deplorable because Dr. K. has to make such an effort to speak. Like your typical democrat, Juan was trying to shut down any opposing viewpoint. Expect more of this boorish behavior in the future because Obama is being exposed as a failure to anyone who is rational. The one thing democrats can´t allow to happen is for the truth to come out about their boy king. However, the whole world can see what a disaster he is. Be prepared for more wailing and gnashing of teeth by the democrats because rational people can see the results of Obama´s failed policies.

When Krauthammer said that Obama "should make a damned decision for once in his life", I imagined millions of Americans jumping out of their chairs screaming, "Someone finally said it!"

(We have all said it but a person of Dr. K´s visibility and overall stature saying it on national TV is something else.)

I don´t think the passengers on the Malaysian flight shot down nor the Jews in Israel suffering missile attacks believe that obama has "substantially improved the tranquility of the global community" as posited by his Press Secretary. But maybe his jokes made them all feel better. What an asshat we have for a President.

The problem is....Obama has made Decisions. What would America look like IF...the head of ISLAM ran our country? What would happen if a true NAZI ran our country? It would look like what it is now or even worse. Dr. K is looking at what an American President should be...but the truth is Obama is NOT an American President or an American at all. He is American´s Enemy.

Then I want to know how they, individually and corporately, stand to gain from continuing this destruction of the USA and any good there is in the world.

This is not a matter of term limits, which I do support for members of Congress and for judges and justices. The 22nd Amendment already provides that for the POTUS. This is rather a matter of impeachment, and conditions are ripe for a serious effort. It will not succeed immediately, but a series of strategic and tactical moves can make it happen. I have postulated a specific "plan" in this regard. With appropriate "tweaks", something like it can work. Each succeeding event justifies the need and makes success more likely. But we must start - now.

The world is burning. The drawbridges to our southern border are purposely left down, and invaders of all kinds are pouring in. Not only are we not stopping the invaders but we are actually giving them free transportation to wherever they want to go. And throngs of wealthy Americans gather to throw more funds at Obama for his fiddle playing.

Amazing.

#15 gets an A+, and I thank him/her for reminding others that the 22nd Amendment covered the need for term limits for POTUS.

Also I hope #15 can somehow get across the impeachment idea to those who can make it happen. If Barry isn´t held accountable for his "high crimes and misdemeanors" now, then the U.S. Constitution and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers may as well be chucked. Along with it, there goes the freedoms and guarantees available to all American citizens. Why do I feel that they are already on their way to the wastebasket of history?

One more time, folks, the Founding Fathers provided for times like these more than two centuries ago, and they were prescient in the construction of their timeless document. The delegates to the Constitutional Convention were well aware that the nature of heads of state and leaders doesn´t change.

Ben Franklin, George Washington and the other signers were trying to prevent the weakness to which most governments succumb. They knew what Lord Acton famously observed a few years later and is still true today:
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

He ... doesn´t ... care. How many of these incidents will it take before we are willing to acknowledge this? He can mouth the words and imitate normal human emotions, but he doesn´t feel them. And not only does he not care, but often he won´t even pretend that he does.

There´s something wrong with him and it can´t be fixed. He has a piece missing from his personality. He has no compassion. No empathy. And as a result he has no human sense of proportion or priority. Whether he is a sociopath or a psychopath or a malignant narcissist is for someone else´s analysis. The upshot is he is not a complete human being. He´s a monster.

Poor choice of metaphors. In geopolitical speak, the "bear" uniformly refers to the Russian bear.

In this instance, the Russian bear is off his chain and marauding, and the man elected to show strength and keep the bear in check is off to yet another fundraising party.

Is his code name actually spelled The Bare ?
As in the Emperor has no clothes .
In Dreams from my Father , Barry described a fight he had with his mother when he was a senior in high school.
She, as recounted by him,
called him lazy and unambitious and criticized that his core group of friends were shiftless dopers.
His mother asked if he was going
to be a lazy bum ( Ayers substituted the inappropriate term Good Time Charlie ) all his life.
Barry responded , yup, what´s wrong with that ?
Nothing´s changed with this guy.

I´ve always told my wife that Obama´s perpetual smile, handshakes and pats on the back portend evil, his? The Temptation´s song below describes the Won to a T?

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don´t tell the truth uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
The truth is in the eyes
Cause the eyes don´t lie, amen

Remember a smile is just
A frown turned upside down
My friend let me tell you

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don´t tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof

Beware, beware of the handshake
That hides the snake
I´m telling you beware
Beware of the pat on the back
It just might hold you back
Jealousy (jealousy)
Misery (misery)
Envy I tell you, you can´t see behind smiling faces

Smiling faces sometimes they don´t tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don´t tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)

I´m telling you beware, beware of the handshake
That hides the snake
Listen to me now, beware
Beware of that pat on the back
It just might hold you back

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don´t tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof

Your enemy won´t do you no harm
Cause you´ll know where he´s coming from
Don´t let the handshake and the smile fool ya
Take my advice I´m only try´ to school ya

I wonder when the leadership of the repubs will spend more effort attacking obozo than they do the Tea Party? Mitch McConnell, Ron Johnson, Paul Ryan, etc.. They are so afraid of being called a racist they would rather see the country destroyed than the liberal media call them the r word. President Barack Hussein Payola Obama… once a community organizer, always a community organizer… once a gutless, fence-straddling, “Present”-voting, puppet-on-a string, always… and so on and so forth.

Never grew up. Always a kid. Decisions? Has others make them for him. But, what about decisions that often must be defended? That’s when he bugs out for the golf course, the fundraiser, the most splendiferous vacation spot or the nearest greasy spoon, all the while meeting and greeting anyone and everyone who adores him, none of whom are likely going to be detained anytime soon from attending a nearby Mensa meeting.

He does make decisions, but they are behind the curtain, in secret, with selected cohorts. By the time these schemes become public, the groundwork has been laid.

He is an extremely dangerous tyrannical man because he intends to destroy the Republic.

And he does not relent. He gives us the middle finger, and strides forward in his pompous, arrogant way.

All of these pictures convey a sense of doom, for we know what happened next. September 1939 brought invasion from both east and west, occupation, chaos, destruction, genocide. Most of the

PRESIDENT OBAMA’S acknowledgment that “we don’t have a strategy yet” in Syria understandably attracted the most attention after his perplexing meeting with reporters Thursday. But his restatement of the obvious was not the most dismaying aspect of his remarks. The president’s goal, to the extent he had one, seemed to be to tamp down all the assessments of gathering dangers that his own team had been issuing over the previous days. This argument with his own administration is alarming on three levels. The first has to do with simple competence. One can only imagine the whiplash that foreign leaders must

While the intelligence community can not pinpoint whether or not an attack is planned, the official said that agencies “did see this kind of increase in chatter before the September 11 attacks.”

Amid conflicting congressional demands, impatient Arab allies, and public concern that he will do too much or too little, President Obama made bluntly clear Thursday why he has not yet implemented a comprehensive U.S. response to the Islamist insurgency that is rapidly spreading across the Middle East. “We don’t have a strategy yet,” Obama said, in response to questions about when he is prepared to begin military action in Syria, and, if not, why not? Rarely has a president spoken so plainly. “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,” he said. The suggestion that “we’re about to

President Obama gave a press conference today, in which the prime topic was ISIL. Obama’s constant theme was that we don’t have a strategy to deal with the terrorist organization that has been rampaging across Syria and Iraq for months. A transcript of the press conference is here: I’ll be meeting with my National Security Council again this evening as we continue to develop that strategy. And I’ve been consulting with members of Congress, and I’ll continue to do so in the days ahead. … And in order for us to degrade ISIL over the long term, we’re going to

Last month, AFP reported that the Islamic State had established a marriage bureau to help jihadists find brides. It was a troubling sign that ISIL and its self-proclaimed caliphate believed it would be around for a while. Since then, the group has been digging in: In the Syrian city of Raqqah on the banks of the Euphrates River, Islamic State militants are busy building a capital fit for their followers. Human rights observers say they have stoned women to death for adultery, while residents report that religious textbooks have been imported for schools and the market flooded with black cloaks

Within a couple hours of President Obama’s telling reporters that “we don’t have a strategy yet” for taking on the Islamic State, White House press secretary Josh Earnest clarified that President Obama does have a strategy, or at least part of one. He told CNN that the White House has outlined an approach for addressing the Islamic State’s efforts in Iraq, but is still awaiting to hear back from the Pentagon on military options in Syria, which is what the president was referring to. In part, Earnest explained, the Pentagon is exploring a broader strategy beyond just American military involvement.

President Obama is promising to reform veterans’ health care and restore “dignity” to the system, the Veterans Affairs office in Philadelphia is apologizing for depicting dissatisfied veterans as Oscar the Grouch in an internal training guide. A slide show presented to VA employees last week portrayed veterans as the grumpy Sesame Street character who lives in a garbage can. The training guide also described veterans as possibly having unrealistic expectations, and advises staffers to apologize for the public “perception” of the scandal-ridden agency. In one slide, a sign reading “CRANKY” hangs from the rim of Oscar’s garbage can. In another,

America’s newest federal agency, charged with regulating financial institutions to prevent another hostile economic downturn, is having troubles regulating hostilities and discrimination among its own employees. Evidence gathered by congressional investigators, internal agency documents and Washington Times interviews with workers discloses scores of cases of U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau employees seeking protection from racially offensive, sexist or discriminatory behavior, including that: • A naturalized U.S. citizen, with more than a decade of service with the U.S. government, was called an “f’ing foreigner” by management. • A department was internally dubbed “the Plantation” because of the number of blacks working

When President Obama on Tuesday highlighted 19 executive actions he says he is taking to improve the mental health of U.S. troops and veterans, one of them centered on a particularly novel effort: The development of new computer chips designed to modulate the nervous system to help with everything from arthritis to post-traumatic stress. The project is headed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a Pentagon agency that develops a variety of high-tech equipment for the U.S. military. It’s known as the Electrical Prescriptions program, or ElectRx (pronounced “electrics”). Program officials say the goal is to develop a technology

Both political parties are in a state of high anxiety about the possibility that President Obama will allow millions of illegal immigrants to remain in the country, fearing that White House action on the issue could change the course of November’s midterm elections. In the past few days, Democratic candidates in nearly every closely fought Senate race have criticized the idea of aggressive action by Obama. Some strategists say privately that it would signal that he has written off the Democrats’ prospects for retaining control of the chamber, deciding to focus on securing his legacy instead. Senior Republicans, meanwhile, have

Back in the 1980s, the Democratic Party media dubbed Ronald Reagan the “Teflon President.” By this, they meant that their false, dishonest and trivial attacks on Reagan didn’t sway the public, which appreciated the most meteoric economic recovery in modern history and restoration of America’s status as not just a great power, but a competent one. Something quite different is happening with Barack Obama. By any possible measure, he has been an awful president. His administration has been good for hedge fund managers and “green” energy scammers, but disastrous for working class Americans, especially African-Americans. President Barack Obama said during a Thursday press conference that his administration doesn´t have a plan worked out yet for defeating the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) in Syria. [Snip] ´What I´ve seen in some of the news reports suggests that folks are getting a little further ahead of where we´re at than we currently are,´ Obama cautioned. He mentioned four times his intention to seek advice from Capitol Hill before deploying more military assets in the Middle East, likely in response to concerns from members of the House and Senate that he was unconstitutionally freezing them out.

"I don´t want to put the cart before the horse, we don´t have a strategy yet," he said. The Daily Beast reported that the president asked for a war plan for ISIS in Syria by Friday. I feel confident in saying that most Americans are disgusted by the perfectly legal practice of U.S. companies avoiding taxes by incorporating in another country. So why does it take a whopper of a story to get the media to pay attention? Burger King, as you know, is moving to buy the Canadian chain Tim Hortons, and this is more about dollars than doughnuts. The hamburger giant plans to move its headquarters to Canada, thereby slashing its Treasury tax bill. The White House doesn’t like it. Democrats don’t like it. The Republicans don’t like it. Victims then, and victims now: American women were not "given" the right to vote. They had to fight for it, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a conference call on Thursday. "Women left their homes to take the message. President Obama’s plan to schmooze Wall Street honchos at a Westchester fund-raiser Friday is grounding wealthy weekenders who planned to fly to the Hamptons or Nantucket for the Labor Day holiday. The FAA has issued a no-fly warning that extends for most of Friday and all day Saturday through Sunday, grounding seaplanes to East Hampton, Montauk, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. On Friday, Obama will be feted at the home of one of his top bundlers, 32 Advisors’ Robert Wolf, in the aptly-named Purchase, NY, with 250 high-rollers paying up to $32,000 each to bend Obama’s ear. Megyn Kelly was incredibly bewildered Thursday night at President Obama‘s comment about having no concrete Syria strategy yet. Ed Henry was very blunt in telling Kelly that this is an unqualified “disaster” for the White House. Henry admitted he was “stunned” that none of his colleagues in the briefing room followed up on that remark of the president’s, especially considering how quickly after the presser the White House jumped right into “damage control mode.” And whereas last night Henry blew Kelly’s mind by telling her Obama would be attending one fundraiser on Friday, he told her tonight that actually, it’s going to

CULLMAN, Ala. — California is looking to bar the “Stars and Bars.” A bill sits on Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk to ban California from displaying or selling the Confederate flag or objects with images of it. The state’s Legislature passed the bill nearly unanimously last week. Assemblyman Isadore Hall III, D-Compton, introduced the legislation after his mother discovered the Capitol gift shop sold a replica of Confederate money that contained a picture of the flag, according to the L.A. Times. The lone dissenting vote among the 67 cast was from former California GOP gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly of Twin Peaks. He argued

Karl Rove is at it once again. The so-called “strategist” is again confusing strategy with tactics, and is about to blow easy Senate pickups in Arkansas and North Carolina. This is not merely snatching defeat from the jaws of victory -- this is snatching defeat from the bowels of victory -- in astonishing tone-deaf fashion. There is absolutely no excuse for not winning these two races. So how is the one-time “boy genius” doing this? By running ads attacking Senators Mark Pryor and Kay Hagan from the left. The last two Republican candidates for president have been among the weakest GOP candidates in 50 years. Barack Obama presented Mitt Romney with a gift in 2012: A struggling economy, sluggish growth, a paucity of jobs, and a health care law that was extremely unpopular. In what should have been a landslide rejection of Obama´s policies, Romney flubbed it big time and allowed his opponent to define him - and Republicans - in the most unflattering way imaginable. You would have hoped that Romney would have retired from the public arena and kept a low profile as other losers have done in

At least four hostages held in Syria by the Islamic State, including an American journalist who was recently executed by the group, were waterboarded in the early part of their captivity, according to people familiar with the treatment of the kidnapped Westerners. James Foley was among the four who were waterboarded several times by Islamic State militants who appeared to model the technique on the CIA’s use of waterboarding to interrogate suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The victims of waterboarding are often strapped down on gurneys or benches while cold water is poured over a cloth covering
