Krauthammer: The Least Obama Could

Washington Free Beacon [DC], by Staff

Columnist Charles Krauthammer tore into President Obama Thursday on Special Report over his passivity on supporting the Ukrainian government in its fight against pro-Russian rebels, challenging him to “make a damned decision for once in his life.” In the context of the Malaysian airliner shot down Thursday, allegedly by pro-Russian separatists, Obama refusing to visit the site of the southern border crisis and appearing behind on such scandals as those in the Department of Veterans Affairs and IRS, Krauthammer said Obama has “had no reaction to anything that I can tell in the last six months.” “It isn’t as if

A day late and a dollar short, Dr. K. I may not have the kind of education you do, but I was smart enough to recognize that Obama was a failure on two legs before he was elected the first time.

The jury is still out on whether heavy marijuana use in youth causes lasting brain damage, but Obama is certainly a data point.

"Adolescents and young adults who are heavy users of marijuana are more likely than non-users to have disrupted brain development, according to a new study. Pediatric researchers found abnormalities in areas of the brain that interconnect brain regions involved in memory, attention, decision-making, language and executive functioning skills."

# 1 It was grotesque and unforgivable when Dr Krauthammer said if McCain became the Republican nominee , he would rather have Hillary or Obama winning the presidency.
What kind of crazy person would say that ?
Oh...wait, it was Rush Limbaugh and not Dr Krauthammer
who said that.
in an interview with the Washington Post in Feb 2004 ,
long after we all knew what Obama would do to the country ,
Limbaugh said said he preferred that Obama ( or Hillary )
be elected president over McCain.

" Rush Limbaugh has been relentless in his criticism of John McCain, prompting suggestions that he may have to soften his stance if the Arizona senator wins the nomination and faces off against Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
But if that happens,
Limbaugh said in an interview over the weekend, he would rather see the Democrats win the White House."

Six years ago Krauthammer promised us that Obama would "govern from the center."

Apparently he didn´t get the Ayers-Jarrett-Holder-Soros memo to the about-to-be-elected puppet: "Feint right, rule hard left."

Funny thing, that. Many of us here got that memo without ever seeing a piece of paper or a screenful of phosphor dots.

Obama, the democrats, and Hillary did make a decision. They decided to pull the missile shield in Eastern Europe, and not arm Eastern Europe, leaving Putin to do as he pleases. This error left us with no options.

There’s growing outrage that a possible act of jihad in the United States is being ignored. 19-year-old Brendan Tevlin was shot to death in New Jersey in late June. Authorities later charged Ali Muhammad Brown with murder. After his arrest, Brown said his motive was revenge for U.S. actions in the Middle East. This led to New York-area radio host Todd Pettengill sounding off on what he sees as an act of domestic terrorism. “If there was ever a reason to riot in the streets in the name of humanity, it would be for this case. But has that happened?

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin penned a reaction to President Obama’s speech on the Islamic State on her Facebook page, telling the commander-in-chief that if he can’t lead with boldness, then he’s better off stepping aside. “War is hell. So go big or go home, Mr. President,” she wrote on Facebook. “Big means bold, confident, wise assurance from a trustworthy Commander-in-Chief that it shall be worth it. Charge in, strike hard, get out. Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked a constitutional amendment meant to reverse two recent Supreme Court decisions on campaign spending. Senate Democrats needed 60 votes to end debate on the measure, but fell short in the 54-42 party-line vote. Earlier this week, more than 20 Republicans voted with Democrats in a 79-18 vote to advance the amendment in order to force Democrats to spend the week debating the merits of the measure. Senators have a week to pass a short-term continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government funded after Sept. 30 and reauthorize the Export-Import Bank before they recess for midterm

Though the fires that consumed our diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, two years ago tonight have long since been put out, the incident still smolders in our minds. Is it because we have never been able to get at the truth behind the attacks? Because we still don’t know what the president said, did, or didn’t do in the thirteen hours Americans were under fire? Is it because the memoirs of people such as Hillary Clinton are still publishing the risible fiction that the attacks were caused by an obscure anti-Muslim video? As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.” Neither of those sentences, unfortunately, is true. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. He took that a step further Wednesday night. While announcing that he´s expanding the campaign against the Islamic State extremist group into Syria, Obama said flatly that this group, which is trying to install a caliphate in the Middle East, "is not Islamic." Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.
