‘Eyewitness’ prankster derails
MSNBC’s MH17 coverage

New York Post, by Danika Fears

The commercial break couldn’t come soon enough. MSNBC’s coverage of downed Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 took an awkward turn when a Howard Stern fan pranked “The Cycle” anchor Krystal Ball with a bogus eyewitness account. “Well I was looking out the window and I saw a projectile flying through the sky and it would appear that the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern’s ass,” the man told Ball, who thought she was speaking with Sgt. Michael Boyd of the US Embassy in Ukraine. Unfortunately, the interview didn’t end there. Ball continued the exchange, asking, “Can you tell us anything more from your military

Comments:
Gotta give credit to Howard Stern´s followers for showing "live" on TV how stupid the producers can be to just put any lunatic on to get "their" version of the story. This IS funny.

It´s too bad. When I first saw a story about this I had hoped it was an actual expert that responded that way. News fluff-heads (male and female) are completely vapid and don´t have the slightest clue how to ask a question.

Stern had one follower who punked Peter Jennings over and over and I got to catch it twice. They fell for it every time.

The Stern caller either knew that MSNBC has the most desperate and weakest producers and anchors, or discovered that fact by trial and error today. Either way, MSNBC, the regime PR channel, the shameless audio-video ´´editors´´ channel, and the true Faux News channel deserves this humiliation. Several times over.

Krystal didn´t even pay attention to his answer, she just kept plugging away with her questions. Nitwit.

So were the audio people, who didn´t pull the plug the minute the guy said Howard Stern.

Don´t they vet these people they put on the air? He claimed to be a guy from the US Embassy in Ukraine, which is in Kiev, hundreds of miles from the area where the plane went down. Didn´t anyone even do a little research before putting him on the air?

But Bill O´Reilly gave Krystal a pass tonight, though Bernie Goldberg didn´t.

(Live blog) 23:02 - Palestinian officials confirm truce at 8 a.m.: The Palestinian delegation to Cairo — which includes representatives of Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other factions — tells Egypt this evening that it accepts its offer for a 72-hour truce, beginning at 8 a.m. tomorrow, senior officials in the delegation tell The Times of Israel. The officials say the Egyptians have made it clear that Israel has agreed to the offer in principal. They note that the agreement began as a request for a 24-hour truce to allow the head of the Red Cross to visit the Strip, and was then expanded to 72 hours, with the option of a further extension.

It has been encouraging, even inspiring, to read and hear the loud and angry response in Israel — condemnatory across the board, from right to left — to the ludicrous ceasefire proposals that were floated this past week by John Kerry, United States Secretary of State, partly on his own and partly in consultation with two of the world’s most notorious generators of Israel-hate: Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey and the leadership of Qatar. Erdogan had just accused Israel of barbarism worse than Hitler, and Qatar underwrites terrorism and murder all over the world, perhaps more than does any other financial center including Iran.

The Sunday pages of The New York Times ran a historical first for the long-running newspaper — a full-page advertisement for marijuana that wasn’t placed by an issue advocacy group. Rather, the ad came from the Leafly, a website and mobile phone app organization that simply rates marijuana dispensaries, Newsmax reported. “While we have run ads from marijuana advocacy organizations in the past, such as NORML [the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws], this may be the first non-advocacy ad that has run,” one newspaper spokesman told AdWeek. “But since we do not track advertisements by subject,

Moral courage is the ability to act rightly, in accordance with our values, in spite of popular opposition, threats of shame and scandal, or discouragement from expected backlash. As Abraham Lincoln once said, “Be with a leader when he is right, stay with him when he is still right, but, leave him when he is wrong.” For the most part, America has been silent on calling out Barack Obama, or even their own representatives, for gross ineptness and an unwillingness to follow the will of the American people. In Washington, D.C., our so-called leaders have arrogantly decided it’s their way, and their way only, occasionally telling us their actions are in
