(Video) On September 5th, 1983, then President Ronald Reagan addressed the American public after the Soviets shot down Korean airliner KAL 007. “My fellow Americans, I’m coming before you tonight about a Korean airline massacre. The attack by the Soviet Union against 269 innocent men, women, and children aboard an unarmed Korean passenger plane. This crime against humanity must never be forgotten.” Compare the former president’s strong response to the current president’s line about the Malaysian airliner MH17 reportedly shot down by the Russians, believed to have killed 280 passengers and 15 crew: “It is wonderful to be back in

Contrast is literally jarring. How as a nation did we do this to ourselves twice. Those who voted for him need to some time alone to learn from their mistakes.

On September 5, 1983 a Soviet Sukhoi Su-15 purposely shot down KAL Flight 700, after having positively identified Korean Airlines Flight 700 as a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet that had inadvertently strayed into Soviet airspace. President Ronald Reagan addressed the Nation on the purposeful Soviet Aggression. On July 17, 2014 Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17, a Boeing 777 was shot down by aggressive Russian Separatist Forces in the Sovereign Nation of Ukraine. Contrast Hussein 0baMugabe Amin´s response to that of President Reagan´s in 1983. Hussein 0baMugabe Amin gave the current shoot down 40 seconds before he started telling jokes and get back to campaign mode. He is the Biggest JOKE and EMBARRASSMENT to have ever been elected by an even BIGGER RETARDED Electorate. Given the conditions of the Russian´s secretive attempts to undermine the Sovereign Nation of Ukraine. I will give some leeway to the Russian Nation itself being directly responsible for the shoot down and will instead blame the shoot down on over aggressive Russian Separatist Forces operating within the Ukraine. We must wait for further Inarguable evidence to be put forth to establish correct responsibility. If we had effective Leadership with Knowledgable Foreign Policy Expertise, this aggressive action would be added to the Negotiating Arsenal to broker a Permanent Resolution in the Aggressive Attacks by Russia against the Sovereign Nation of Ukraine to Ukraine´s advantage and end Russia´s aggression Permanently.

I stand corrected on the actual Korean Airlines Flight shot down by a Soviet Sukhoi SU-15 on September 5, 1983. It was KAL Flight 007.

Has food - especially junk food - played as large a role in the messaging of any other presidential administration as it has in that of President Obama? Obama has long complained about feeling hemmed in by the presidency, and has made a habit lately of escaping the White House by walking down the street, skipping town and meeting with regular Americans who have written him letters or have some connection to an issue he plans to discuss. The common thread in almost all of these excursions? Food or drink. And nothing fancy. The latest adventure came Thursday, when Obama

The state has submitted two locations -- a Cape Cod military base and Chicopee air base -- for federal approval to house up to 1,000 children who´ve crossed the country´s southern borders illegally, Gov. The feds will determine whether Joint Base Cape Cod in Bourne or Westover Air Base in Chicopee are suitable to shelter the unaccompanied minors for four months, according to a briefing the Patrick administration released to legislators this morning. MARION, Iowa — The unspoken rules of prepresidential politics, not to mention the diplomacy of navigating a scandal, required Chris Christie to avoid any suggestion that his swing through Iowa on Thursday involved his own White House ambitions. Inside a diner here, a different reality played out. Mr. Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey, reveled in repeated pleas to run for president, nodding as a middle-aged man here told him that he alone possessed the “rough-and-tumble style” necessary to tame Washington. “You know how to play that game,” the man said. “I do,” Mr. Christie replied. Were Americans among the almost 300 people killed when a Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 was shot down over eastern Ukraine on Thursday? Some media reports say there were 23 Americans on MH17, a scheduled flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, and President Obama said earlier that efforts were underway to determine if any Americans were aboard. As of 11:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern Daylight Time, an airline spokesman in the Malaysian capital said by phone he still could not confirm whether Americans were among the dead. Efforts were continuing to verify the nationalities of the last 41 of the 283 passengers,
