Inside a Gaza Hospital
Under Israeli Rocket Fire

ABC News, by Megan Keneally

An American activist has moved into a Gaza City rehabilitation hospital in the hopes of deterring an Israeli military strike on the facility that has been emptied except for 17 rehab patients who are too disabled to leave and the staff to take care of them. Joe Catron, 33, of Virginia, said el-Wafa Hospital in Gaza City has already been hit once with a missile and he said that Israeli threats to strike again amount to "psychological warfare." Catron is one of eight foreigners who hope to act as human shields for the hospital. He described the band of foreigners

Comments:
And what do these "activists" think about the neverending Hamas rocket firings that have been hitting civilians in Israel?

The lefty sob sisters in the LSM will be all over this story. Count on it.

If the hospital is a target, it is only because Hamas is either using it as a missile launch site or is storing rockets and arms there. Hamas is making the patients be their "human shields."
Tough, Joe Catron, I hope the IDF takes you and the hospital out. If you want to make yourself a human shield, prepare to meet your 72 virgins.

I think it was Benjamin Netanyahu who said we use missiles to protect our people but Hamas uses people to protect it´s missiles. This writer and any others who deliberately ignore this reality have no credibility.

Because Hamas don´t care, baby. And they know it.

Why would a hospital need a human shield? Hospitals are not targets by people who obey they international laws governing warfare, as the the Israelis do.

Putting a big Red Cross (yeah, really!) on it works better than having some idiot running around saying he’s a shield.

But make your hospital part of the war by making it a firing position, then all bets are off, and Shield Boy isn´t going to change anything.

Will he also report from inside the UN-run Gaza school in which missiles were hidden?!! Doesn´t he know Israel´s enemies routinely hade behind children and will use ANYONE to conceal & shield their machinery of war?!!

Israel is a tiny country which respects basic human Rights and is now under fire and having to defend itself from the surrounding barbarians´ ruthless & continuing attacks.

Or so it seems to me, but then maybe I´m just a right-wing knuckle dragger who sees everything in black and white. I wish I could sit at the feet of John Effin´ Kerry, who might open my horizons and explain the subtle nuances.

JERUSALEM — Hamas militants intensified their attacks on Israeli forces Saturday, killing two soldiers on Israeli soil and attacking others with antitank missiles, machine guns, even an explosives-laden donkey, apparently undaunted by Israel’s incursion into the Gaza Strip. As the conflict stretched into its 12th day, the militants’ resilience seemed to upend the narrative provided by Israel of a Hamas severely weakened by the Israeli ground offensive, airstrikes, artillery barrages and the ongoing destruction of its tunnel network. In their most audacious attack Saturday, Hamas fighters dressed in Israeli army uniforms slipped from central Gaza into Israel through a tunnel and attacked

The cannons fill waters shared by whales and turtles with sound waves 100 times louder than a jet engine.
