IRS Ship Sinking: First Deadline Friday
Townhall, by Larry Provost

The IRS is running but cannot hide due to citizens; citizens who obtained two important victories this week. Through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, the watchdog group Judicial Watch has taken the government to federal court seeking answers to the IRS missing emails; emails that are important in determining the extent and guilt of the IRS targeting the political opinions of ordinary Americans. This past week, the US Federal District Court for the District of Columbia has mandated two important rulings taking effect on Friday July 18, and no later than August 11, forcing the “most transparent administration in

Hooray (again) for Judicial Watch, a great place to put some discretionary funds. Bless them, they are tireless, committed and above all, honorable.

3. provides a projected date of completion of the Inspector General’s investigation;

Good luck with that one, but knowing Judicial Watch´s record, they won´t give up. They are terriers and not to be trifled with.

Can a reader explain what the two federal courts can do if the IRS ignores the deadlines or provides minimal to misleading information about the missing emails?? Eric Holder has been held in contempt of Congress since July 2012 yet he still serves as AG. If the courts hold the IRS in contempt, what happens next? Does the sleazy IRS Commissioner go to jail? Who is empowered to seize him because Eric Holder won´t.

If the missing an surely damaging to Obama emails are found, will the House GOP start impeachment hearings? Or, will the RINOs ignore the emails just as they have ignored most of Obama´s lawlessness?

What will ultimately be "discovered" - - is that all of the hard drives, servers, and tapes have been wiped clean and/or destroyed by highly-competent technical experts hired by Stinky and the demonrats.

And when that´s "discovered" - - exactly what will happen next? Answer: Nothing - - absolutely nothing.

Stinky and his evil henchmen will go on thumbing their noses at the law and the Constitution - - in their fervid drive to do as much as possible to destroy this country for the next two years.

I wish I were wrong - - but I know I´m right.

My understanding about this is that once the government is on notice about pending legal action they are required by law to maintain any possible records. Not doing so is actionable by itself. They can be held accountable for destroying records. Further, no one is going to believe that all the people targeted by this probe had their emails destroyed but no one else did. That stains the gullibility of even a democrat.

So the question remains, if someone destroys evidence of their guilt for a crime, can they be held accountable for the crime anyway? Probably not. Someone can be held accountable for the destruction of records. I wonder who that scapegoat will be? An IT guy in Cincinnati?

But proof of willful destruction of wrongdoing at the IRS shows that the IRS is a rogue agency that needs to be put under STRICT oversight. Like the oversight they put over elections in some states. Basically, they can only make major decisions with approval.

Sounds good for the EPA as well.

For an allegedly do nothing President, BO has had many victories. Even if the IRS mess is dealt with fully, fairly and with benefit to the country, BO wins big.

The dissension, maneuvering, back-stabbing, double dealing, and widespread corruption has and will extract a large cost to a nation based on the rule of law.

These people are like muzzies. They know how to destroy, but they are useless at building.

Think of the potential for entertainment. It’s fun to think about how the media would drive itself crazy trying to choose sides between Joe and Hillary. On one hand, Hillary is a woman and the media’s expected inheritor of the presidency. On the other hand, Biden is part of the Obama administration. Justin Sink of The Hill recently reported: Biden fuels ’16 talk with New Hampshire visit. Vice President Biden will head to New Hampshire next week for an event on the economy that is certain to intensify speculation that he is readying a bid for the presidential nomination in

President Obama cleared his schedule — and probably his plate — for his commander-in-chef’s wedding Saturday night. Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were guests at the nuptials of Sam Kass, their devoted family chef, and MSNBC host Alex Wagner. The well-connected couple was set to be married at a trendy farm-to-table restaurant in Westchester County called Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills. The upscale restaurant doesn’t have traditional menus but offers a “grazing, pecking, rooting” selection of in-season foods and flavors for $198, or just two items for $138. The speech by former US Vice-President Al Gore was apocalyptic. ‘The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff,’ he said. ‘It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.’ Those comments came in 2007 as Mr Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his campaigning on climate change. But seven years after his warning, The Mail on Sunday can reveal that, far from vanishing, the Arctic ice cap has expanded for the second year in succession – with a surge, depending on how you measure it, of between 43 and

DUNDEE, N.Y. — Five years after it exploded into a political conflagration over “death panels,” the issue of paying doctors to talk to patients about end-of-life care is making a comeback, and such sessions may be covered for the 50 million Americans on Medicare as early as next year. Bypassing the political process, private insurers have begun reimbursing doctors for these “advance care planning” conversations as interest in them rises along with the number of aging Americans. People are living longer with illnesses, and many want more input into how they will spend their final days, including whether they want

“The international community must act and eradicate ISIL” (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), Eastern Orthodox and Catholic patriarchs said in a strongly-worded statement from Lebanon Wednesday. “This is required from the United Nations and the U.N. Security Council,” the statement said. The patriarchs met in the Maronite Catholic patriarchate of Bkirki to discuss the plight of embattled Christians in the Middle East, who have been targeted for annihilation by ISIL. The meeting was attended by a number of Western diplomats and UN representatives. Following the meeting, Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rai´s envoy, Bishop Boulos Sayyah, read the statement aloud,

Watching the events unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, I can’t help thinking about the Holocaust and post-war Germany. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

It will take two decades to rebuild the thousands of houses destroyed during Israel’s assault on Gaza, according to a recent NGO report. At least 17,000 homes were obliterated or severely damaged during the conflict, with thousands more needing substantial repairs, according to an assessment by Shelter Cluster. More than 2,100 Palestinians, most of them civilians, were killed during the conflict. In addition 71 Israelis were killed – all but six of them soldiers. But the report on Gaza’s housing stock indicates inhabitants of the densely populated strip will face a severe infrastructural burden over the coming years.
