Schieffer: World May Be
More Dangerous Now
Than During Cold War

Washington Free Beacon, by Staff

Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer said Obama’s comment that “We live in a complex world” “may the understatement of the year”, and claimed the world may be more dangerous now than at the height of the Cold War. Schieffer listed off crises around the world, quoting Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.), who recently said “I have never seen the world in more turmoil than it is today.” “I don’t want to be overly dramatic here tonight, Scott,” Schieffer told CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley, “but I think that we are in a very dangerous time right now. Comments:
My TV remote defaults to CBS when turned on and I found myself watching this guy´s statements last evening. After my initial impression of being creeped out by such a dose of reality from this network, I thought perhaps this might be a signal that they are no longer going to try to put a "happy face" on the rolling disaster which is the 0bama administration.
In any event, Schieffer´s tone was ominous.

Things have yet to reach equilibrium. The world may be in conflict, but it is even close to the level of conflict associated with Obama´s hate America first, liberal ideology.

Much of the remorse liberals are just now beginning to exhibit, whether it be CBS or the cop killing by blood nation, is a reflection of their recognition that Obama is down for the count and with him their befuddled, clouded dream of liberal Nirvana.

Of course it is more dangerous. Back then most of the communists were on the other side of the world, and the ones here were in constant fear of discovery.
Now the communists are not only in the open, they are running the place. Freedom is in dire peril from within and very few people with power are willing to do anything about it. (Look how many are shying away from impeachment.)
We are in very dangerous times indeed.

The maniac charged with shooting a woman and a man with a pellet gun in Central Park blamed his friends for those attacks and two others over a 10-day span. Edward Fall, 20, accused a friend named Hollywood of shooting the two joggers in Central Park earlier this month, according to his confession. He fingered another friend, Antwan Ross, 21, as the man who shot two people — and a dog — in Midtown West with pellets on Thursday, cops said. Fall said Hollywood fired the pistol at a 34-year-old man on Aug. 17 and at a 36-year-old woman on

WASHINGTON — The legalization of recreational marijuana in two states — Colorado and Washington — and medical marijuana in more than 20 others has raised concern that there will be more drivers stoned behind the wheel. FERGUSON, Mo. — Police officers in Ferguson, Mo., have begun wearing body cameras after weeks of unrest about the shooting death of an unarmed black man by a white officer and sharply differing accounts of the incident, officials said yesterday. Michael Brown, 18, was shot multiple times by Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9, sparking nearly three weeks of angry protests in the St. Louis suburb and drawing attention to race relations in the United States. Law enforcement and witnesses gave differing accounts of what transpired before Brown was shot, with police saying the man had struggled with the officer.

After several mercifully Benghazi-free months, the 2012 attack on the diplomatic compound in Libya is about to be thrust back into the spotlight around its September 11 anniversary. The special House committee investigating Benghazi is finally expected to begin its work, in earnest, with its first hearing the week Congress returns from August recess. Meanwhile, two books promising explosive new allegations about the terror attack will hit shelves in September, and Fox News plans to air a new, one-hour documentary on the attack this week, featuring exclusive interviews with Americans who fought in the onslaught.

Sheriff’s deputies in Georgia say they foiled a bizarre smuggling scheme in which two jailed inmates used their dead grandmother’s casket to help them smuggle drugs and other contraband back into the jail. Jailers escorted Henry Ison Rouse, 27, and Nekoase Antwan Vinson, 30, in handcuffs and leg restraints to the Bentley Brothers funeral home Thursday evening to bid farewell to their grandmother. Emma Mae Faulk of Macon died last Sunday at age 74 and the prisoners were allowed a private viewing. “One of them stayed in there (with the casket) a good amount of time,” the Rev. America’s racial divide not only remains but has deepened in some ways over the last six years, despite hopes President Obama’s election would usher in a “post-racial” America. The shooting of an unarmed black man and resulting rioting in Ferguson, Missouri, is only the latest racial flashpoint in Obama’s tenure, which has featured tense, racially-charged debates over issues like the arrest of a black Harvard professor and Obama friend in front of his house and the resulting “beer summit,” the expansion of voter ID laws, and the killing of Trayvon Martin. “We’re nowhere near a post-racial society,” says Michael Eric Dyson,

Between 1970 and 1990, the population of Philadelphia shrank by a quarter, dropping from 1.95 to 1.59 million. Like many American cities, it seemed caught in a downward spiral. Since then – like many American cities – Philadelphia has stabilized. The population now appears to have bottomed out at the millennium, and has been regaining residents over the past decade. But as it rebounds, Philly is becoming a different kind of city. In the two most recent decades, which comprise the bounce of the city’s population curve, owner-occupied housing dropped even more steeply than in the ’70s and ’80s. Between 2000 and
