Per CNN, journalist Jose Antonio Vargas travelled to McAllen, Texas, “to show solidarity with the surge of people, many of them children, traveling alone entering the U.S. illegally.” Who is Jose Antonio Vargas, you ask? Via Breitbart He describes himself as “the country´s ‘most privileged’ illegal immigrant.” According to CNN, “he is a Pulitzer Prize winning former journalist” who entered the United States illegally from the Philippines when he was 14-years-old. Three years ago Vargas announced his illegal status in a piece in the New York Times. As of this writing, he was being detained at the border.

I am angry and also very scared that the US will never be the same after this invasion. We are witnessing in real time our own destruction.

Good point OP: For someone whose loyalty to the US of A had long been suspect, he has been failing to dispel that notion.

But two terms? It was bad enough in 2008, but blame anyone foolish enough to have let him remain in office when we had a decent chance in 2012 to Take Back America.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is such “a stubborn head” that he “refuses to understand anything.” So says Secretary of State John Kerry, reports the French weekly Le Canard Enchaine. Though satirical, Le Canard is known for excellent ties with French political insiders — especially with the Foreign Office in Paris, where, according to the paper, Kerry mocked the Israeli leader to several foreign ministers while seeking a Gaza cease-fire last week. Bad enough to bad-mouth an allied leader to Europeans who’ve been less than supportive of your ally. Worse to do it also in the presence of officials of two nations

The Obama courtship of Iran persists despite everything. It has been the president´s fixed intention from the first days of this presidency when he sent warm greetings to the regime and has proved utterly resistant to rebuff, to insult and to glaring failure. Obama is determinedly driving the policy toward the cliff, swerving around one huge blinking danger sign after another. Iran conspires to blow up a Saudi diplomat -- along with countless others -- in Cafe Milano, a popular Washington, D.C., restaurant? Keep driving. Iran has repeatedly lied about its secret nuclear weapons development program, as even the U.N.´s Mohamed ElBaradei

A recent poll by The Pew Research Center is reporting that America is more divided than ever. According to the poll, 66% of consistently conservative Republicans think the Democrats’ policies threaten the nation’s well-being and half (50%) of consistently liberal Democrats say Republican policies jeopardize the nation’s well-being. With everything that is going on in our country, all Americans should be united. So, what is it that has us divided? The issues that we are facing effects all Americans on both sides of the political fencefrom foreign policy disasters, wide-open borders to the economy.

Why the media bear moral responsibility

Former Col. Richard Kemp, who was head of British forces in Afghanistan, has laid out with great clarity why the very media who bemoan the civilian casualties in Gaza bear moral responsibility for the carnage. The video below is short and eloquent, and should be viewed. But if you are in a hurry, the essence of his point is that Hamas deliberately uses children and others as human shields in order to gain media coverage of the victims. Without media coverage, there would be less incentive for this cruelty. But rather than my poor summation, please watch this video.

The Internal Revenue Service is the House of Representatives’ public enemy No. 1. The agency has quietly admitted that it has lost emails for seven employees at the center of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups, including the former employee at the heart of the scandal, Lois Lerner. The admission of a loss of records during the course of a congressional investigation hints at either gross bureaucratic negligence or a federal agency gone legally astray — perhaps both. However, Congress may be barking up the wrong tree in its search for answers. Currently, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has

President Obama appears poised to take executive action that would legalize as many as 5 million illegal immigrant parents of U.S.-born children, a prospect that riles local immigration critics and adds a new dimension to concern about swelling immigrant populations in states like Massachusetts eyed as hosting sites for thousands of children who crossed the border unaccompanied. The Associated Press reported yesterday White House officials are laying the groundwork for an executive order that would automatically legalize roughly 5 million of an estimated 11 million people who have entered the country without legal authorization or overstayed their visas.

In a recent speech (7/17) in Wilmington Delaware President Obama was "bursting with pride" regarding the success that his administration´s policies have had in reviving the U.S. economy since he took office. Our businesses have now added nearly 10 million new jobs over the past 52 months …Construction and housing are rebounding. The auto industry is booming.... Manufacturing is adding jobs for the first time since the 1990s. The unemployment rate is at its lowest point since September of 2008. Not bad. Ten million new jobs. Construction and housing rebounding. Auto industry booming. Unemployment at its lowest since 2008.

Deep in the desert of Utah is a government data center. The center, comprised of long, low buildings spanning 1.5 million square feet, is filled with super-powered computers storing unbelievably massive amounts of information gathered secretly. What information is being collected? Information about you, Joe Average citizen. Your phone calls and emails are being stored, all in the name of protecting our country from potential terrorists -- terrorists like you, even though your call or email is as banal as, “Honey I’ll be home in 30 minutes.” You probably have never said or typed, “I’m planning to bomb the Freedom Tower.”

The unaccompanied children flooding our southern border are not refugees and do not qualify for asylum under U.S. law or international law. It is worth noting that border patrol agents are telling reporters that these “children” often look 24 years old and that some have gray hair. With no documentation, they have been coached to say they are 17. We don’t have any documentation as to what countries they are actually from. Many of these “unaccompanied minors” are accompanied by one or two parents. That’s politics.

Let’s face it: if you want to see the workings of thought disorder, you have to do a Rorschach. I once did a Rorschach on a man who was experiencing a psychotic disorder. In card after card he reported seeing vaginas. He was an intelligent, highly educated man. He had sufficient self-observing ego to be embarrassed, but not to filter sexually oriented responses. He eventually quipped, “Isn’t there some Woody Allen joke about you’re the crazy one for showing me all these dirty pictures?” Of all the elements of consciousness, the problem of sex is the most clamorous.

The left wing ideologues currently in control of America want us to believe that they care about all the “children” at our border. It isn’t the first time they have used children to push an agenda. They have even been using Jesus as a propaganda tool. Playing on our emotions, and appealing to our kind nature has worked. No doubt some of the low information crowd who blindly support the left believe they are being compassionate by welcoming lawbreakers “who just want a better life” with open arms. Many just believe the left is pro illegal immigration because these immigrants

A good friend of mine apologized to me today. He simply said he was sorry. I think a good many Americans feel much the same as my good friend. They know that they were seduced by the very slick presentation that Barack Obama made in the

Conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status had their applications denied by IRS bureaucrats who called them names like “crazies,” “rabid” and other words that can’t be printed in a family newspaper. The tax agency is supposed to be run by nonpartisan, career professionals, but the latest set of emails released by the House Ways and Means Committee suggest the agency is anything but. Until the scandal erupted last year, Lois G. Lerner was in charge of the IRS division overseeing tax-exempt organizations. Congressional investigators have spent months sifting through her emails — the ones that didn’t “go missing” — to find out

But Michelle Obama said as an African American woman, her discussion with the African youth was ´deeply personal´. ´The roots of my family tree are in

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura joined the “CBS This Morning” co-hosts Wednesday to discuss the details of his legal battle with a former U.S. sniper. On Tuesday a federal jury awarded Jesse Ventura $1.8 million in his case against Kyle’s widow. The former governor told CBS: “I’m already damaged. I can’t go to a SEAL reunion anymore. That was the one place I felt safe. I can’t go there anymore. I’ll be looking over my shoulder now wondering who’s going to come after me next. And, so don’t think I come out of this unscathed. All I wanted to do was clear my name and it has nothing to do with a widow or anything like that.

Perhaps it says something about us that our most interesting presidential candidates swear they won´t run for president. This is true of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and it´s increasingly true of Mitt Romney. As regular readers of this column know, I´ve never been much of a Romney booster. I´ve also expressed skepticism about the notion he would run again. But let´s not let "a foolish consistency" cloud our judgment. There is reason to believe that a third try wouldn´t be an absurd venture. First, in the intervening years since 2012 — and on a range of issues, not the least of which is

Referring to Obama as the “cynic in chief,” Rove said on Fox News’s On the Record that Obama is “suggesting a constitutional crisis” in an effort to “fatten the accounts of Democratic fundraising groups.” White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said last week that Congressional Republicans may take the path to impeach Obama.
