DHS Secretary: ICE to Run Out

Supplemental Funding

PJ Media, by Bill Straub

WASHINGTON – Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson expressed confidence that the federal government can successfully deal with the surge of unaccompanied children crossing the southern border but it likely will cost billions of dollars to deal with the ongoing crisis. In testifying before the Senate Appropriations Committee, Johnson urged lawmakers to adopt the $3.7 billion plan proposed by President Obama, warning that revenues are running low in the Department of Homeland Security because of outlays already used to address the situation. Without the supplemental funding, Johnson told lawmakers, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will run out of money sometime in

Comments:
Of course this is always what they say. I am sick to death of them wasting and spending our money like it is water and then blame lack of funds on not fixing some situation. I am terrified what is going to happen to us and when the financial collapse will occur.

I want to see where the money they have already spent has gone. When you send your kid off to school for the semester with a credit card with $700 limit and $300 in cash and he calls home a month later to say he´s broke, you have the right to ask some questions.

They can use obomba´s vacation funds. AND stop making stupid satire videos ie... IRS or use the funds from the scrapping of purchasing a resort for the illegals to vacay and catch a few rays. If they don´t get it, they can find it.

Here is an idea..take the 50-190 million dear leader wants to spend on the resort to house illegals and use it for Law Enforcement. As in Enforce the Laws already on the books regarding illegal immigration.

How do we expect to have children of any color to respect the nation if laws are selectively chose in which one to obey or not to obey?

FEMA, which is part of Homeland Security, used to have (and almost certainly still has) set- aside funds for potential emergencies. Surely this is one such.

What they should do is not pass out anymore federal money for all this, and instead charge Mexico, as Mexico and it´s corrupt law enforcement agencies are making a killing in an international criminal conspiracy, by all of a sudden changing their Southern border policies as regards illegal alien Central Americans transiting through Mexico to the US border, and extorting their Bite (bribe) or Mordida from those illegal aliens and their people smugglers to allow them to pass, you can bet on that.

Then DHS should replenish ICE with all the gravy money DHS has. They can take it out of their conference budget or even their furniture budget. Here´s another idea. Barry can take it away from either the EPA or IRS and give it to ICE. Both of them waste money hand over fist.

President Obama went back to his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard Tuesday evening following less than 48 hours in Washington, leaving people puzzled over why he came back in the first place. Obama’s two days in Washington were mostly quiet, and concluded with the president receiving his daily national security briefing in the morning, and joining Vice President Biden to huddle with members of his economic team in the afternoon. Administration officials have insisted for weeks that the president just wanted to return to the White House for a series of meetings, but the explanation was met with a healthy dose

Barack Obama’s presidency isn’t just shrinking, it’s losing support among its most critical point — its base. Less than two years ago, Barack Obama became the first Democratic president since FDR to win re-election with a popular-vote majority.
