Confusion over U.S. immigration policy
to blame for surge in illegal children –
NOT increasing violence in Central
America – claims leaked report

Daily Mail [UK], by David McCormack

Original Article

The surge of thousands of unaccompanied children illegally crossing the border from Mexico is being fueled by misperceptions about U.S. immigration policy rather than growing violence in Central American, according to a leaked report. [Snip] The organization focuses on the collection and distribution of tactical intelligence concerning the southwest border and is run jointly by the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. ‘Of the 230 migrants interviewed, 219 cited the primary reason for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes or permisos to UAC (unaccompanied children) and adult females

More White House lies--not even a tiny surprise regarding this survey result.

There is no confusion over US immigration LAW, but that is not being enforced.

That is the Obama´s administration folly.

Offshore wind farms are OK after all, exciting new research by scientists has revealed, because barnacles. [Snip] Besides being wildly expensive (so heavily subsidised by compulsory levies that they cost six times more than coal energy) they are also: shortlived (because it´s hard to erect such large mechanical structures in such hostile terrain); subject to declining efficiency; they kill an average 110-330 birds per turbine per year; they blight the view from the coast; they disrupt shipping; they kill whales and other marine life; they drive up energy prices; they increase fuel poverty; they enrich rent-seekers; they require vast pylons to

Someone has petitioned the UK Government´s Home Office demanding that the term "denier" be classified as "hate speech." We the undersigned request that the offensive terms, "climate denier", "denier", "denialist" and other variants being used to harass sceptical scientists or other people who do not ascribe to the hypothesis of man made climate change or man made global warming be classified as hate speech in accordance with the Public Order Act 1986. The US says it has temporarily shut its embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli over security concerns. Embassy staff, including marine guards providing security to the embassy, have been evacuated to Tunisia "due to the ongoing violence resulting from clashes between Libyan militias," it adds. The state department has also urged US nationals not to go to Libya. It comes amid fierce clashes between rival militias in the capital, with recent fighting at Tripoli airport. [Snip] State department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the withdrawal "underscored the Obama administration´s concern about the heightened risk to American diplomats abroad".

The sunny highs of July are numbered, with a dramatic drop in temperature next week when a second polar blast hits large parts of the U.S. Temperatures are forecast to be up to 20 degrees below average for this time of year, with some places experiencing a chill more usual in the fall. A jet stream from polar regions will bring the unseasonable weather in on Sunday, with a band of thunderstorms leading it in Ohio and along the East Coast. The storms are likely to bring hail, strong winds, and a risk of tornadoes in and around the Ohio

There have been an increasing number of calls for action in Palestinian territories outside Gaza, as well as Jerusalem. [Snip] The term intifada properly translates as shaking off and in this literal sense the first two uprisings in 1987-1993 and 2000-2003 failed to achieve the goal of Palestinian autonomy or eventual independence. When companies are heading for the door as fast as they decently can, you have to ask yourself why? President Obama´s approach is a rather different one; let´s just lock the door and stop them from leaving. On both sides of the US political divide, America´s apparent corporate exodus via so-called "inversion takeovers" is a source of growing concern. However, their response to the problem could hardly be more different. Broadly, Republicans want to deal with the issue by lowering corporate tax rates; but Democrats want to stop the outflow by changing the rules. As things stand, these allow companies

President Barack Obama is summoning Central American leaders to the White House to discuss the influx of young immigrants from their countries to the US, hoping to show presidential action even as Congress remains deeply split over proposals to stem the crisis on the border. The meeting comes as the administration is considering creating a pilot programme giving refugee status to young people from Honduras, White House officials said Thursday. The plan would involve screening youths in their home country to determine whether they qualify for refugee status. The programme would be limited in scope and would start in Honduras

Hamas leaders, both in Gaza and abroad, have called for the start of the third intifada - or Palestinian uprising - after violent riots with live fire erupted throughout Jerusalem and the West Bank last night. Violence flared up as thousands of Palestinians took to the streets, rioting and protesting Israel’s actions in Gaza. Approximately 10,000 people marched from Ramallah to Jerusalem, where they clashed with Israeli police. Two Palestinians were killed and approximately 200 were injured when protests turned violent near the Qalandiya checkpoint, just north of Jerusalem. In East Jerusalem and the Old City, 40 rioters were arrested.

Britain’s economy has finally bounced back from the deepest recession in post-war history. New figures show the economy is now larger than before the 2008 financial crisis. Growth of 0.8 percent between April and June draws a line under the worst downturn the nation has faced. It has taken six long years to reverse the decline which began in early 2008 and saw the economy shrink by 7.2 percent by the middle of 2009. [Snip] But Labour has been quick to point out that the recovery has been much slower than the Tories predicted when the Coalition was formed in 2010.

President Obama insists on flirting with impeachment even as House Republican leaders insist there’s no such possibility. Obama uses a passive-aggressive strategy that can be judged as a political maneuver, a personality disorder, or both. Secure in the knowledge that impeachment is not the same as removal from office, Mr. Obama brings up the topic on his own and with bold defiance. Martyrdom goes well with a Messiah complex and Mr. Obama’s speeches are a non-stop litany of depicting himself as a victim of Republicans. Already operating beyond the constitutional bounds of presidential power, Mr. Obama’s strategy is to push the bounds

I received a call from my sons’ school in March telling me that my oldest needed to be picked up early. He had been given a one-day suspension because he had thrown a chair. He did not hit anyone, but he could have, the school officials told me. JJ was 4 at the time. I agreed his behavior was inappropriate, but I was shocked that it resulted in a suspension. The president’s demeanor is worrying a lot of people. From the immigration crisis on the Mexican border to the Islamic State rising in Mesopotamia, Barack Obama seems totally detached from the world’s convulsions. When he does interrupt his endless rounds of golf, fundraising and photo ops, it’s for some affectless, mechanical, almost forced public statement. Regarding Ukraine, his detachment — the rote, impassive voice — borders on dissociation. His U.N. ambassador, Samantha Power, delivers an impassioned denunciation of Russia. Obama cautions that we not “get out ahead of the facts,” as if the facts of this case — Vladimir Putin’s

A year after news of the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, former First Lady Hillary Clinton allegedly told a Pulitzer-prize winning journalist that it was former President Bill Clinton’s abusive mother that caused his unfaithfulness and sex addiction, a new book claims. That journalist was Lucinda Franks and while her latest book, “Timeless: Love, Morgenthau, and Me,” doesn’t have much to do about the Clintons, the part that does offers never before reported information from a 1999 interview with the former First Lady. ST. Death-penalty opponents say the execution of an Arizona inmate who took two hours to die shows that state experiments with different drugs and dosages are a callous trial-and-error process.
