Pentagon Loses Many Cars
Belonging to American Soldiers

Car theft is a major problem in America, but most people would agree that it’s hard to lose a car. As an investigation by the Daily Beast has learned, however, the Pentagon has somehow lost multiple cars belonging to American servicemen and women. Here’s how it happens: The Pentagon often reassigns their soldiers to different stations throughout the world, and helps their families defray the financial costs of moving — including the cost of shipping their cars. For decades, the Pentagon contracted this service out to American Auto Logistics (AAL), but replaced them this summer with a company called International

I´m going to take a wild guess that International Auto Logistics is owned by an Obama bundler.

The military does seem to be presented with problems & the resulting chaos on every front! This seems to be yet another senseless affront which has come to light. Where is the laudable efficiency governing America´s military of the past? Where is the respect for those currently serving and the veterans gone? Average citizens do respect those who selflessly protect us and all we hold dear, but who is in charge now? mmm mmm mmm

IAL sounds like one of those outfits which, but for lifeline contracts from the federal government, would be out business solely through their own incompetence. We have similar trouble with a government-directed freight forwarder that fails to respond when it´s time to ship. Phone calls then go unanswered as we get beaten up by the government customer.

In the 34 years of marriage to an Army officer (28 on active duty) I never heard of a POV (privately owned vehicle) being lost. However it took a car 6 weeks to 3 months to travel by boat from Charleston, South Carolina to Bremerhaven, Germany. I did hear of a car going overboard on the trip to Europe, but never misplacing one or five.

What´s next, getting Young Democrats to poke holes in toilet paper at the PX? Have calls to prayer five times a day at every military post?

Officer Wilson was inside his patrol car at the time, while Mr. Brown, who was unarmed, was leaning in through an open window. Many witnesses also agreed on

But the rioting only paused; it didn’t cease. Barack Obama’s presidency isn’t just shrinking, it’s losing support among its most critical point — its base. Less than two years ago, Barack Obama became the first Democratic president since FDR to win re-election with a popular-vote majority. Since then, his support has dropped dramatically — not just overall, but among important constituent groups. Comparing 2012 exit poll results with an Aug. 8 McClatchy-Marist nationwide poll shows how far Mr. Obama has fallen with various segments of the population. In 2012, Mr. Obama won among women 55 percent to 44 percent. Today, his approval rating among women is 41 percent, with
