Poll: 1 in 6 say immigration

Seventeen percent of people in the United States say immigration is the nation’s top problem, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday. That´s up from 5 percent in June, and is the highest number Gallup has registered for immigration since 2006, when 15 percent said it was the nation´s most pressing problem. Gallup’s new survey found immigration is virtually tied with “dissatisfaction with government” as the nation´s top problem. The economy and unemployment rank below immigration and “dissatisfaction with government" as top problems, the new poll found. Only 8 percent now rate healthcare as the top problem, down from 16 percent in January, when

I suspect this poll spike is due in large part to the unfolding disaster occurring on our southern border. Watch the MFM try to twist this into "support" for their so-called immigration reform.

Toldja polls are a crock of warm spit; Immigration is not our number one problem. Our problem is a corrupt president trying to turn America into a marxist state, along with his hell-bent corrupt cabinet and most of the congress as crooked as a dog´s hind leg. Apologies to the dog.

It´s only going to increase. By this fall it could be 1 in 3. This is a great opportunity to talk about real border security. If the GOP starts talking specifics, not just build a fence or send in the guard, but how border security was achieved in different sectors, what laws Obama isn´t enforcing, the problems with our exit visa system, they´ll swamp Democrats at the polls. They´ll do it with a lot of voters who usually vote Dem too.

Our #1 problem as a nation is that we have a president and administration that hates this nation, and wants to actively destroy it in every way possible (destroy our healthcare system, destroy traditional values and institutions, destroy the freedom of religion, disarm the law-abiding populace, destroy the military, etc, etc, etc).

They welcome the invasion of illegals storming our border. Just another tool to cause chaos and instability.

There is a host of issues that are candidates for the "top" problem. Almost all of them would be lessened if not eliminated by the simple act of Obama´s resignation.

Guess what, health care, unemployment, economy, etc are all related. The "immigration" is actually an invasion and it will adversely affect ALL those other things, not to mention cultural rot, security, political division, etc.

People who say Obama is incompetent don´t understand that he is VERY good at what he is doing and VERY good at masking his intentions so he appears incompetent.

Yes, this number will continue to grow exponentially. The child-filled Trojan Horse is an act of war and treason that is only the latest invasion that is an existential threat to the nation. Yes, it is that serious. It is nothing less than part of the effort to "fundamentally transform" the US - into a banana republic.

Remember last year when Karl Rove and his RNC sycophants insisted that Republicans bet everything in 2014 on the collapse of Obamacare?

Wrong again, Karl.

The media continues to push this invasion of illegals as "immigration" or an "immigration crisis". It is neither. It is an Obama-controlled and directed invasion of illegals with the governments of Mexico and various central American countries complicit. What this is, is treason. But The Won knows that the Republican party is paralyzed with fear and will do nothing, and that Boehner has been effectively neutered.

A fun fact: The emergency medical technician (EMT) responsible for aiding the victim of a car accident undergoes, on average, 33 days of training. The cosmetologist whose salon that driver just left studied for 372 days. That the typical rescue worker requires fewer hours of training than the typical manicurist, barber, and interior designer is the upside-down result of occupational licensing, the wormhole of training courses, examinations, fees, and other hoop-jumping required by many states to ply a number of trades. As unions decline, occupational-licensing requirements are on the rise, facilitated by back-scratching among industries and legislators both state and federal. In

Nearly 12 percent of Americans pack up and move every year. Most of them assume that by registering to vote in their new home cities or states, their old records will be invalidated. In many cases, they´re wrong. There is no unified system in the United States alerting election officials that former residents have moved away and plan to vote in someone else´s jurisdiction. As a result, millions of Americans are registered to vote in more than one place in any given election, leaving open the possibility of massive voter fraud that would not be halted by voter-identification laws that have

MCALLEN, Texas -- On Wednesday, Texas Governor Rick Perry visited National Guard troops who will soon beef up patrols along the border with Mexico. Perry says Texas had to act because the federal government has failed to secure the border. Perry has taken this political fight to a new level. Members of the Texas National Guard recently completed combat training. The next deployment for some will be on the border. "The price of inaction is too high for Texas to pay," Perry told a news conference in July. Perry ordered 1,000 National Guard members to help other state agencies with border security. The

Exactly 53 years after East Germany´s Communist authorities started to build the Berlin Wall, half of all Germans do not know the exact date when the city was divided, said a survey released this week. Shortly after midnight on Aug. 13, 1961, East German troops began erecting a barbed-wire barrier to prevent skilled workers from fleeing to West Germany. The fence evolved into an imposing concrete wall that came to symbolize the Cold War. When asked what happened on this date, some 50 percent of Germans said they did not know, according to the survey of 1,013 people carried out by the

Two crises – one in Iraq and one in Ukraine – aren’t enough to disturb President Obama’s vacation. In Iraq, a twofold crisis has the barbarian forces of the Islamic State trying to butcher their way into Kurdistan and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki clinging to power. The airstrikes and military aid to the Kurds ordered by Obama may help slow the advance of Islamic State forces but won’t significantly damage the group. As the suffering of the 30,000 to 50,000 Yazidis trapped by the Islamic State on Mount Sinjar worsens, the Pentagon is reportedly planning their evacuation, a massive effort that

Never mind Baghdad. If we want to make a dent in the battle against the jihadis that are about to swallow Iraq, America must fully back the Kurds. President Obama has started moving in the right direction, but he’s still too busy with the long game: As he plays Baghdad politics, we risk losing Iraq altogether. And the Islamic State, a group that hates America and that could soon establish a base from which to plot attacks against us, will take the spoils. To Obama’s credit, he’s finally paying attention to the group also known as Daesh and ISIS. The Islamic State is

The president has been on the receiving end of some withering criticism over his unwavering determination to stick to his guns and hold true to his long-range vacation plans. Such commitment is admirable, particularly in the face of public admonitions from both Republican malcontents and weak sisters in his own party. Obama was already under fire in June for his planned California getaway, even as the crisis on the southern border boiled over in the summer sun and disasters unfolded on no less than three other continents. One of the many disappointments of the Obama era is the failure of the one promise which, more than any other, brought him into office backed by a surge of goodwill, with approval ratings around 80% on Inauguration Day. As the first black president, Barack Obama was going to heal the nation’s racial divisions and put an end to our divisive racial politics. Now here we are five years later, and there’s a race riot in Missouri. No, this has nothing to do directly with Obama, but it has a lot to do with how he and the mainstream media have

It’s official: Obamaism is dead. Hillary Clinton killed it. It wasn’t so much a mercy killing as an expedient one, but that’s politics in the best sense.
