Pope Francis Calls on U.S.
to Welcome Illegal Immigrants

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Robert Wilde

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

I understand his humanitarian concerns, but what about the disastrous economic impact on this country?? I´m sick of everyone in the world telling us what we should do in this country. I note that people aren´t flooding the borders of the hell holes of Iraq, Syria, Somalia, etc. We cannot take care of the entire world!!

From the official Vatican translation:

This humanitarian emergency requires, as a first urgent measure, these children be welcomed and protected. These measures, however, will not be sufficient, unless they are accompanied by policies that inform people about the dangers of such a journey and, above all, that promote development in their countries of origin. Finally, this challenge demands the attention of the entire international community so that new forms of legal and secure migration may be adopted.

Note - he´s referring to the entire international community to adopt legal and secure immigration policies.

I agree with the Pope that we have to show basic human compassion to the illegals. For the very short time that they should be here, we need to make sure they get food and emergency medical care.

But then they must be immediately returned to their home countries.

They can then apply to come here legally if they truly want to come to this country.

There is nothing un-compassionate or un-Christian about any of that.

Poster 5 where is the "basic human compassion" for the citizens of the United States? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the taxpayers who are going to have to foot the bill? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the people who live in these boarder towns in TX AZ & NM? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the service man being held in a Mexican prison?

The time for "basic human compassion" is done. Peoples hearts "bleed" they "bleed" so much they no longer know or understand what it is they are "bleeding" for.

Next Sunday, as you stand on your balcony looking down on the many thousands in the square below, just invite them all IN !
HOW many could occupy Castle Gandolfo?
Pope Francis would have given a valuable message if he cautioned his Bishops and Arch Bishops to OBEY the laws and stop violating them in the USA.

Why are unaccompanied minors allowed entry? They should be with their parents. Religious and secular leaders should not be promoting the break up of families.

Central America and Mexico should regard the great migration of their citizens to the U.S. as a great shame on their own governance. We should shame them for allowing this travesty to their people.

From the first words from Francis I knew I couldn´t care less for anything he has and would say. He may not be a communist but he is on the edge of the envelope. The Vatican is large enough to take on thousands of these illegal wetback childre. Has he any thought to bringing them to Vatican City? I think not, just why don´t you Americans take on the problems of Central America and elsewhere?. Like Gen. McAuliff said to the Germans at Bastogne, NUTS!!

For decades, America has given freely of her time, treasure and military assistance and has asked nothing in return. It´s a good thing because we have gotten nothing in return except for the gratitude of the poor souls we have saved from death and destruction. Those who accept our help and then spout their hatred for us are all around the world, Mexico and most Central and South American countries being among them. You welcome them Frankie, and spend some of that Vatican treasure on them, we are broke and tired.

You would all do well to click through Breitbart to Patheos and then to the Vatican Radio link and read for yourself what Pope Francis said.

You are getting reaing Breitbart´s interpretation of Patheos´ interpretation of the Pope´s written address to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development.”

Read what he said in context, not what someone thinks he said.

The Pope is working on this from the wrong angle. Go to those countries and work with your Church there to right these wrongs. That should be your mission.

When the Pope opens the Vatican to all the homeless in Europe and the world, then and only then does he have the right to tell us what we should do. In addition, the Catholic church has millions and millions of dollars wrapped up in art etc. Sell those and use the money to help the poor before you preach to others. Pretty hypocritical.

Easy to do when you aren´t the one paying.

That said, his statement wasn´t all that bad - he referred to secure border and development of those hellholes down sluth. The first step toward that is to quit electing communists who suction all the economic life out of a country. That starts with getting rid of all the liberation theology that has polluted those fair lands. Mr. Pope, your move.

‘He who controls the past controls the future,” observed George Orwell. “He who controls the present controls the past.” This, in one pithy, symmetrical little maxim, has been the story of Obamacare from its conception to the present day. Since its official launch, in October of 2013, the architects and salesmen of our ill-conceived phalanx of reforms have been engaged in some of the most pronounced historical revisionism of the modern era — truth being subjugated to expedience; idealism being repackaged in the pathetic language of good intentions; and the past being tweaked at every tricky stage. Republican lawmakers are challenging the Obama administration over a newly announced plan to expand the use of U.S. military bases to house illegal immigrant children, warning that it will put a strain on troops and threaten military readiness. Police detained two men at a Midtown hotel late Friday after a doorman reported they possessed a pair of pressure cookers like those used to make the Boston Marathon bombs. But the men say it was a misunderstanding: They plan to use the pressure cookers to prepare rice, chicken and meat. Mohammad Alotaibi, 21, and Ayoub Alawadhi, 20, pulled up to the InterContinental Hotel on East 48th Street late Friday with the pressure cookers in their car’s trunk, said law enforcement sources. A doorman called Crimestoppers, and NYPD counterterrorism and intelligence officers arrived to question the men. Police did not

Sunday on CNN´s "Fareed Zakaria GPS," former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed the United States standing in the world and said former President George W. Bush is the president who made her "proud to be an American." Clinton then seemingly took a shot at Obama´s current lack of direction in world leadership. "We have to go back out and sell ourselves," Clinton said. "It is not to be taken for granted. What do we stand for and, how do we intend to lead and manage? How do we try to enlist the rest of the world in this struggle between cooperation and order and conflict and disorder which is really at the root of so much

A leading drug policy researcher, David Murray, has a must-read piece up at the Hudson Institute website, "Comparing Marijuana and Alcohol: Seriously." Murray´s article is a devastating deconstruction of claims that marijuana is relatively safe, or at least safer than alcohol. And, as he points out, it thereby undermines much of the basis of the New York Times´s blithely irresponsible editorial endorsement of marijuana legalization. Read Murray´s whole piece. Here are highlights: It’s a remarkable weekend when one finds the Grey Lady arguing for state’s rights, and worrying huffily about arbitrary Presidential powers. But when it comes to smoking dope, the mind

In 2012, four years after sort-of-stumping-but-not-really for her mother’s presidential campaign, Chelsea Clinton sat down for a lengthy, laudatory profile for Vogue. “Historically, I deliberately tried to lead a private life in the public eye,” she said. “And now I am trying to lead a purposefully public life.” Last April, Clinton told Fast Company magazine much the same thing. As she also did with NBC’s Brian Williams, who interviewed Clinton after she was hired by the network as a “special correspondent” — albeit one with no journalism experience. Her starting salary: $600,000 a year. “For most of my life I did deliberately

VILLA PARK, Ill. — Fast food workers from across the country have voted in suburban Chicago to escalate their campaign for higher wages and union representation by including civil disobedience. More than 1,300 workers gathered today in Villa Park, Illinois. Some workers say they’re prepared to engage in sit-down strikes and organize more workers in their campaign to win $15-an-hour wages and a union. Their actions so far have included one-day strikes and a protest outside this year’s McDonald’s Corp. shareholder meeting. Industry officials say a $15 wage would hurt job creation, and that the solution is more education and

World leaders are increasingly pointing to U.S. President Obama’s failures in the Middle East. Some are direct and blunt. For example, during his recent visit to Brazil, Russian President Vladimir Putin was asked by journalists about U.S. sanctions against Russia due to the Ukrainian crisis. While naturally condemning such moves, part of his response was to accuse the Obama administration of “encouraging war between neighboring states.” In the same context, Putin added: American objectives have not been realized, nor have they accomplished anything, because everything has collapsed. Afghanistan faces problems, and Iraq and Libya are falling apart. Egypt also was

REP. NANCY PELOSI: First of all let me disagree with the -- when we were growing up, you after me, but we were in a bipolar word, the Soviet Union and the United States. It´s a much more complicated situation now and the president´s leadership has been strong. And the issues you are dealing with this morning, the president was in the lead on supporting Iron Dome and asking for more resources now to help Israel defend itself, which it has as right to do. In the lead for asking for humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people, $47 million to go
