Pope Francis Calls on U.S.
to Welcome Illegal Immigrants

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Robert Wilde

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

I understand his humanitarian concerns, but what about the disastrous economic impact on this country?? I´m sick of everyone in the world telling us what we should do in this country. I note that people aren´t flooding the borders of the hell holes of Iraq, Syria, Somalia, etc. We cannot take care of the entire world!!

From the official Vatican translation:

This humanitarian emergency requires, as a first urgent measure, these children be welcomed and protected. These measures, however, will not be sufficient, unless they are accompanied by policies that inform people about the dangers of such a journey and, above all, that promote development in their countries of origin. Finally, this challenge demands the attention of the entire international community so that new forms of legal and secure migration may be adopted.

Note - he´s referring to the entire international community to adopt legal and secure immigration policies.

I agree with the Pope that we have to show basic human compassion to the illegals. For the very short time that they should be here, we need to make sure they get food and emergency medical care.

But then they must be immediately returned to their home countries.

They can then apply to come here legally if they truly want to come to this country.

There is nothing un-compassionate or un-Christian about any of that.

Poster 5 where is the "basic human compassion" for the citizens of the United States? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the taxpayers who are going to have to foot the bill? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the people who live in these boarder towns in TX AZ & NM? Where is the "basic human compassion" for the service man being held in a Mexican prison?

The time for "basic human compassion" is done. Peoples hearts "bleed" they "bleed" so much they no longer know or understand what it is they are "bleeding" for.

Next Sunday, as you stand on your balcony looking down on the many thousands in the square below, just invite them all IN !
HOW many could occupy Castle Gandolfo?
Pope Francis would have given a valuable message if he cautioned his Bishops and Arch Bishops to OBEY the laws and stop violating them in the USA.

Why are unaccompanied minors allowed entry? They should be with their parents. Religious and secular leaders should not be promoting the break up of families.

Central America and Mexico should regard the great migration of their citizens to the U.S. as a great shame on their own governance. We should shame them for allowing this travesty to their people.

From the first words from Francis I knew I couldn´t care less for anything he has and would say. He may not be a communist but he is on the edge of the envelope. The Vatican is large enough to take on thousands of these illegal wetback childre. Has he any thought to bringing them to Vatican City? I think not, just why don´t you Americans take on the problems of Central America and elsewhere?. Like Gen. McAuliff said to the Germans at Bastogne, NUTS!!

For decades, America has given freely of her time, treasure and military assistance and has asked nothing in return. It´s a good thing because we have gotten nothing in return except for the gratitude of the poor souls we have saved from death and destruction. Those who accept our help and then spout their hatred for us are all around the world, Mexico and most Central and South American countries being among them. You welcome them Frankie, and spend some of that Vatican treasure on them, we are broke and tired.

You would all do well to click through Breitbart to Patheos and then to the Vatican Radio link and read for yourself what Pope Francis said.

You are getting reaing Breitbart´s interpretation of Patheos´ interpretation of the Pope´s written address to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development.”

Read what he said in context, not what someone thinks he said.

The Pope is working on this from the wrong angle. Go to those countries and work with your Church there to right these wrongs. That should be your mission.

When the Pope opens the Vatican to all the homeless in Europe and the world, then and only then does he have the right to tell us what we should do. In addition, the Catholic church has millions and millions of dollars wrapped up in art etc. Sell those and use the money to help the poor before you preach to others. Pretty hypocritical.

Easy to do when you aren´t the one paying.

That said, his statement wasn´t all that bad - he referred to secure border and development of those hellholes down sluth. The first step toward that is to quit electing communists who suction all the economic life out of a country. That starts with getting rid of all the liberation theology that has polluted those fair lands. Mr. Pope, your move.

Control of the US Senate largely hinges on the outcome of election in 12 states. In half of these contests, the Democrat candidate is the scion of rich political legacies. In their own way, these contests will test the proposition that America is a land without an aristocracy. Obama´s "Dreams of My Father" may be less a memoir than a political blueprint. A federal study to determine why 75 percent of lesbian women are obese and gay men are not has totaled nearly $3 million. The National Institutes of Health study is now in its fourth year, receiving an additional $670,567 for fiscal year 2014, for a total cost of $2.87 million, the Washington Free Beacon reported. Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital have come to several conclusions since studying “the striking interplay of gender and sexual orientation in obesity disparities,” which is slated to last until 2016. They have determined that gay and bisexual males had a “greater desire for toned muscles” than straight men, lesbians have lower

Nude photos of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, as well as those purportedly showing other top Hollywood stars, were posted online in an apparent massive hacking leak. An anonymous hacker reportedly gained access to private photos on the Hunger Games actress’s mobile phone, and those of 100 others, via Apple’s online storage system iCloud. The 60-odd pictures of Lawrence in varying stages of undress were then posted on the bulletin board website 4chan. More than 100 A-list celebrities are alleged to have been targeted, including reality TV star Kim Kardashian, singer Rihanna, models Candice Swanepoel, Cara Delevingne and Kelly Brook, and

The FBI said late Monday that it was investigating leaked nude photos that targeted Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. The agency told the Associated Press that it was addressing accusations that online accounts of celebrities, including Oscar-winner Lawrence, had been hacked, leading to the posting of their nude photographs online. In addition, Apple Inc. spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said the company was investigating whether any iCloud accounts were compromised, according to the AP. Representatives for supermodel-turned-actress Upton, 22, and Lawrence, 24, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games movie franchise, issued statements about intimate pictures which first appeared on

In remarks on the U.S. economy Monday, President Barack Obama said Congressional Republicans will eventually cave to public pressure to raise the federal minimum wage. Obama was speaking at the Laborfest festival hosted by the AFL-CIO in Milwaukee, Wis. “If I cared about these things, I’d also want more Democrats looking out for me,” he said. “I’m just saying. Because when the rest of the country is working to raise wages, but Republicans in Congress won’t, it ain’t right.” Noting the protests in recent months from fast food workers seeking higher wages, Obama said Republicans would open up to the

Between 1970 and 1990, the population of Philadelphia shrank by a quarter, dropping from 1.95 to 1.59 million. Like many American cities, it seemed caught in a downward spiral. Since then – like many American cities – Philadelphia has stabilized. The population now appears to have bottomed out at the millennium, and has been regaining residents over the past decade. But as it rebounds, Philly is becoming a different kind of city. In the two most recent decades, which comprise the bounce of the city’s population curve, owner-occupied housing dropped even more steeply than in the ’70s and ’80s. Between 2000 and

WASHINGTON — The current Congress is on track to be the worst ever at passing laws since modern record-keeping began, with three of its lawmakers failing to introduce a single bill, The Post has learned. The divided House and Senate have managed to pass just 163 laws that garnered President Obama’s signature since the two-year term began in January 2013. At this rate, Congress will have no problem beating the previous record set during the 2011-2013 session in which 284 laws were passed. That was down from 385 laws passed in the 2009-2011 session.
