Health survey gives government

Washington Post, by Sandhya Somashekhar

Less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday in the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation. The National Health Interview Survey, which is the government’s premier tool for annually assessing Americans’ health and behaviors, found that 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian, and 0.7 percent consider themselves bisexual. The overwhelming majority of adults, 96.6 percent, labeled themselves as straight in the 2013 survey. An additional 1.1 percent declined to answer, responded “I don’t know the answer” or said they

Jeepers! I thought it had to be 50%, considering all the attention it brings. Note - this is in the Health section of the WP. There is nothing "healthy" about sodomy.

* Less than 3% of the population is sexually abnormal (by definition)
* 12-13% of the population is black
* About 55% of the world´s lawyers "practice" law

And the sentient among us bemoan the corruption of our culture and the rapid descent of this country into third world (at best) status.

According to a Pew Research poll earlier this month,78.4% of Americans define themselves as Christian.

The Constitution guarantees he freedom of religion.

Yet Christianity has been attacked, and the rights of Christians have been margianilized to an extreme extent.

If 1.6% of the population can cause such an uproar, why can´t we, the 78.4% get really loud and demand our rights and freedoms?!?!?!?!?

Reading the study, it´s 1.6% gay and lesbian. Adding in the bisexuals it´s just over 2%.

"Less than 3%" fixes 3% in the mind, but rounding it´s 2%.

However, it´s probably higher because I think there´s still a resistance to telling the government your business even among people willing to talk.

Jeb Bush Returns to Fray

GREENSBORO, N.C. — In one of his first public appearances of the 2014 campaign, former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida had a vivid preview Wednesday of the challenges he would face with his party’s conservative base should he seek the Republican nomination for president in 2016. Standing alongside Thom Tillis, the North Carolina House speaker and Republican Senate candidate, Mr. Bush outlined his views on two of the issues he cares most passionately about: immigration policy and education standards. But as Mr. Bush made the case for an immigration overhaul and the Common Core standards, Mr. Tillis gently put distance between

While a broad, deep coalition of Democrats is urging Hillary Clinton to run for president, Republicans so far aren´t rallying behind the politician in their party from a famous political family: Jeb Bush. In the spring, at the height of the controversy over lane closures in New Jersey that implicated the staff of Gov. Chris Christie, GOP donors talked publicly about drafting the former Florida governor and the son and brother of ex-presidents into the race to be the Republican establishment candidate they had expected Christie to be. But the informal talk never galvanized into the kind of political movement that has made Clinton

Sarah Palin, Jeb Bush and John McCain are among the major GOP figures who will travel to Kansas in the coming days to boost Roberts, who finds himself in an unexpected battle with independent Greg Orman. In the spring of 2007, the talk show host opted not to renew her contract with the gabfest created by Barbara Walters, even though her controversial opinions gave the program a ratings boost. Then, shortly before her departure, she got caught in a spectacular fight on live TV with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck that started over the Iraq War, but quickly turned personal — and went viral.
