Health survey gives government
its first large-scale data on gay,

Washington Post, by Sandhya Somashekhar

Less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday in the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation. The National Health Interview Survey, which is the government’s premier tool for annually assessing Americans’ health and behaviors, found that 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian, and 0.7 percent consider themselves bisexual. The overwhelming majority of adults, 96.6 percent, labeled themselves as straight in the 2013 survey. An additional 1.1 percent declined to answer, responded “I don’t know the answer” or said they

The US, where:
* Less than 3% of the population is sexually abnormal (by definition)
* 12-13% of the population is black
* About 55% of the world´s lawyers "practice" law
* And whose leader hates the country that elected him...

And the sentient among us bemoan the corruption of our culture and the rapid descent of this country into third world (at best) status.

According to a Pew Research poll earlier this month,78.4% of Americans define themselves as Christian.

The Constitution guarantees he freedom of religion.

Yet Christianity has been attacked, and the rights of Christians have been margianilized to an extreme extent.

If 1.6% of the population can cause such an uproar, why can´t we, the 78.4% get really loud and demand our rights and freedoms?!?!?!?!?

Reading the study, it´s 1.6% gay and lesbian. Adding in the bisexuals it´s just over 2%.

"Less than 3%" fixes 3% in the mind, but rounding it´s 2%.

However, it´s probably higher because I think there´s still a resistance to telling the government your business even among people willing to talk.

President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech.
