Dozens of protesters on both sides of the immigration debate showed up in a small town near Tucson on Tuesday after the sheriff said the federal government plans to transport about 40 immigrant children to an academy for troubled youths - but the kids never arrived. The rallies demonstrated the deep divide of the immigration debate. One group waved American flags, held signs that read ´Return to Sender´ and ´Go home non-Yankees´ and said they would block a bus that was supposed to arrive with immigrant children aboard. It turned heated at times, with shouting matches and a group of

Reports seem to indicate that most of these "children" are, in fact, Obamasons...teenage males with criminal histories and/or gang affiliation.

of truce breakdown
Jerusalem Post [Israel], by Staff, Yaakov Lappin    Original Article

Hours after rockets shattered the cease-fire and hit Gaza frontier communities, three loud explosions were heard over Tel Aviv, shortly before 11 p.m., for the first time in over a week. In total, the IDF said that 50 rockets were fired at Israel since 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday until around midnight. Six rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome rocket defense system. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday rejected Palestinian charges that Israel was to blame for a breakdown in ceasefire talks in Cairo, saying rocket fire from Gaza "made continuation of talks impossible."

A woman was rushed to hospital and hundreds of people were quarantined today after she showed symptoms of Ebola virus infection in a jobcentre in Germany. As many as 600 visitors and staff at the employment office building in Berlin were also stopped from leaving for several hours as emergency services sealed off part of the street. The mass-circulation daily Bild said the woman had fainted, that she hailed from Nigeria and that she said later that she had recently been in contact with people infected with Ebola. Several people who had been with the woman inside the building in the

A 23-year-old African-American man has been shot dead today by police officers in St Louis, Missouri after allegedly robbing a convenience store with a knife. The man charged at officers waving a knife when he was killed around 12.30pm in the north of the city, Police Chief Sam Dotson said on Tuesday. The shooting took place outside the Six Stars Market, four miles from the unrest in Ferguson over last week´s cop shooting of a black teenager. No officers were injured in today´s incident. The Department of Justice has 40 FBI agents canvassing Ferguson, Missouri to learn whether a white police officer should be charged with a ´civil rights´ crime for shooting an unarmed black teen, the agency confirmed on Tuesday. [Snip] The DOJ is conducting interviews with an eye toward determining if a federal case will be made of the shooting, regardless of whether the state of Missouri charges Wilson with murder or manslaughter. It´s conceivable that he might not be charged for killing the teen, but still face a trial in federal court for violating his civil rights.

Two people were shot during another night of violence in Ferguson as police used stun grenades and tear gas on protesters who hurled rocks and bottles and in some cases Molotov cocktails. The ninth night of violence since the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown had started as an evening of peaceful protests. But the relatively peaceful protests eventually turned nasty on the streets of the St. Louis suburb after police in riot gear and gas masks formed a barricade and stood watch over the protesters for almost two hours. As officers sat with guns pointed atop armored vehicles, the

Much has been said and written about the terror tunnels that Hamas built in Gaza. But too little has been said about who it was that put the cement into Hamas’ hands, thus making the construction of the tunnels possible in the first place. Until now. In a bombshell revelation, Dennis Ross, the senior Mideast policy adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2011, has admitted that it was he who was assigned the task of pressuring Israel to ease up on its military blockade of Gaza, in the events after Israel´s withdrawal from that region in 2005.

Contrary to reports by the joint Palestinian delegation to Cairo, Israeli representatives have not left Egypt after agreeing to lift the blockade on Gaza, according to a senior Israeli official involved in the negotiations. Talks are still continuing over core issues, including if and how the Israeli blockade of the Hamas-controlled territory could be eased without compromising Israeli security, as a 24-hour extension of the temporary ceasefire agreed between the sides on Monday gets underway. The official--who spoke to Channel Two on condition of anonymity--said that no comprehensive agreement for a long-term truce had been made, and that the Israeli delegation had

Violence continues in Ferguson, Missouri. It began on August 9 with the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager cut down by a white cop’s bullets. But the rioting only paused; it didn’t cease. Now I didn’t feel safe anywhere. State troopers in riot gear and armored trucks moved south on West Florissant, firing flash grenades and tear gas canisters at a crowd of protesters who only minutes before had been

Since the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown, the nation and the world have witnessed the unrest that has gripped Ferguson, Mo. At the core of these demonstrations is a demand for answers about the circumstances of this young man’s death and a broader concern about the state of our criminal justice system. At a time when so much may seem uncertain, the people of Ferguson can have confidence that the Justice Department intends to learn — in a fair and thorough manner — exactly what happened. From nearly 1,000 miles away, several Redskins players used the Monday Night Football stage to draw attention to the situation that has been unfolding in Ferguson, Missouri by running onto FedExField with their hands up in the air. Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Barack Obama’s presidency isn’t just shrinking, it’s losing support among its most critical point — its base. Less than two years ago, Barack Obama became the first Democratic president since FDR to win re-election with a popular-vote majority. Since then, his support has dropped dramatically — not just overall, but among important constituent groups. Comparing 2012 exit poll results with an Aug. 8 McClatchy-Marist nationwide poll shows how far Mr. Obama has fallen with various segments of the population. In 2012, Mr. Obama won among women 55 percent to 44 percent. Today, his approval rating among women is 41 percent, with
