The headline in the Washington Post on June 4 was clear: Rove-backed American Crossroads won’t get involved in Cochran runoff Said the Post story the day after Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel had defeated six-term Mississippi GOP Senator Thad Cochran in the first round of the state’s GOP primary: American Crossroads, a GOP establishment organization, has decided to shift its political focus almost entirely to the general election and will not be spending money in the likely runoff election to decide the Mississippi Senate nomination that was virtually deadlocked after Tuesday night. The "establishment" have blown both feet off. I will vote for Michelle Nunn in November as I believe a Republican Senate will do as much harm to the brand as they did the last time they had the chamber. RINO´s first them the dems.

As the left has highjacked the democratic party, the ensconced ruling elite have highjacked the GOP.

Plan A - just accept the way things are
Plan B - run against the GOP and let them frequently cheat their way into office
Plan C - vote democrat for one election, remove the cheat and the insert a conservative in the subsequent election.

Plan A dooms the country in 5-10 years
Plan B dooms the country in 10-20 years
Plan C gives us a 25-50% chance of saving the country.

I am not happy with Republicans either, BUT Harry Reid needs to be punished, and stripped of his power. He needs to be humiliated. WE can do that.
One step at a time, we can take America back.

I say stand on your principles #4. The go along to get along compromise threatens to ruin this nation once and for all. It is time to make a stand and demand integrity from those in office. It is time to send the GOP a message. I would rather the nation go to ruin at the hand of those who stand for its ruin than by the hand of the those who side with the Democrats secretly and battle against conservatives openly. No way will a RINO ever get my vote again. Let the chips fall where they may.

Those who demand that we vote for a party regardless of its actions are the ones who have enabled the mess that we have.

Had lunch in Jackson, MS with a good friend (one of the 3 smartest people I´ve ever met). Opinion is McDaniel is a flake and is being used to make this a win for the demons. Has some serious racist and flakey issues that will "magically appear" if he´s successful. Thoughts were after Cochran read the tea leaves from the primary he got his butt in gear and outhustled Mcd.

Great strategy, #4. Nothing--absolutely NOTHING--will put the country on a true conservative track like overloading the senate with liberal Democrats!

As for Michelle Nunn, you are aware, aren´t you, that one of her biggest backers is Emily´s List, which works actively to put pro-abortion candidates in office. And Elizabeth Warren, the pin-up girl of progressives, will be campaigning for her.

But of course Nunn, a died-in-the-wool liberal Democrat, is preferable to Jack Kingston, who has a 95+ rating from the American Conservative Union. Right? Because she´ll help "clean house."

To the surprise and disappointment of exactly no one who frequents this salon, the usual past tense liberal republicans try to shift the focus from the despicable acts of the prince of the unprincipled onto the offended loyal subjects who wish to lodge a protest.
Yesterday when it was presented that Eric Cantor is withholding support of the guy who kicked his arse, we were quickly assured that losers don´t need to unite behind winners....

And today, the usual self appointed hall monitors insist that you shut up and support the people who have ignored the protests and done irrepairable harm to the reputations of solid, loyal grass roots republicans not just in Mississippi but nationwide.

Loyalty to idiots and mediocre PTA mothers is foolishness.

Crossroads, which hasn´t supported a prolife Susan B. Anthony candidate in this cycle, now wants to remind you that you don´t wanna vote for one of those Emily´s list people.

Karl Rove and his cheerleaders owe an very public apology for their actions in Mississippi. You either disown it or you own it.

As to Ms. Nunn, she is the etch a sketch candidate of the day it seems. Pro keystone pipeline, antiACA, antigay marriage, criticized and not progressive enough.

So McDaniels is a flake and Cochran (´I´ve done strange things with animals´) isn´t?! Sheesh!

The MS and national GOP were both alert to the fact that Cochran is failing and wanted to quit. So why weren´t they preparing good candidates to replace him? Because they can´t give up the power that derives from seniority, even if it means that the senate staffers will be propping up an unfit office holder.

And forget about the Rovian sycophants/mutual admiration society offering even a mild condemnation of the despicable racist anti-McDaniels shenanigans. This is who they are. They will do anything to protect their privileged status within the Establishment. Plus they are embarrassed (and perhaps guilty, too) by the social conservative´s stance on traditional moral issues.

Voting en bloc for a Democrat is one way to symbolically spit on the Establishment. But they hold Conservatives in such deep disdain that even full abandonment by the base will not have any effect on them. They will simply continue to blame us for their losses.

JERUSALEM—A Hamas force wearing Israeli army uniforms emerged from a tunnel inside Israel this morning and inflicted losses on Israeli troops before being wiped out. The Hamas squad numbered at least 10 fighters, Israeli sources said. Nine were killed but an Israeli officer said at least two may have escaped through the tunnel. In initial accounts, which gave conflicting narratives, the Hamas force was said to have emerged from a hidden tunnel on the Israeli side of the border only 200 yards from a kibbutz, and split into two groups. Israeli soldiers whom one group encountered shortly afterwards reportedly took them to

The Progressive mantra of “diversity is our strength” is one of the most honored catchphrases of the left. Like all slogans, it is a test to see if common folk are “gun-toting, Bible-clinging” Neanderthals or are they part of the enlightened, educated elites to whom the rest of us must surrender our individual beliefs, opinions, and thoughts. But as with all that the Progressives say, the meaning of the words being used is warped and misrepresented. For example, think about what Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz is saying in the following: Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who ´get it!´

Elizabeth Warren, and it´s increasingly true of Mitt Romney. As regular readers of this column know, I´ve never been much of a Romney booster. I´ve also expressed skepticism about the notion he would run again. But let´s not let "a foolish consistency" cloud our judgment. There is reason to believe that a third try wouldn´t be an absurd venture. First, in the intervening years since 2012 — and on a range of issues, not the least of which is

In Kansas City today, President Obama complained that Republicans continued to oppose his agenda in Congress. “C’mon and help out a bit,” he said, addressing the GOP. “Stop bein’ mad all the time. Stop just hatin’ all the time. C’mon, let’s get some work done together.” Obama said that he still had a lot of work to do, including spending on roads and bridges, resources for fighting wildfires, and addressing the border crisis. “I know they’re not that happy that I’m president, but that’s ok,” he added. “I’ve only got a couple years left, let’s get some work done. Then you can get

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has been traveling to New York in the past month to quietly meet with high-flying business leaders to ramp up interest in a potential presidential bid, sources tell Page Six. “He’s been meeting with groups of up to 15 people at private homes to tell them about some of his moderate points of view,” a source said. “He’s been meeting with Republicans, Democrats and independents.” Our source added, “They’re not fund-raisers. It’s for people here to get to know more about him. He’s said he has not decided whether he’ll run.” We hear that Bush was in town

Fox News’s Geraldo Rivera sniped at conservative blogger Matt Drudge over his website The Drudge Report’s emphasis on news regarding the U.S.-Mexico border. “Shame on Drudge,” Geraldo tweeted Wednesday. “His authoritative website has gone hysterical on issue of immigrant children. 14 stories like ‘Could Ebola sneak across?’” Drudge has admittedly placed an emphasis on linking to stories concerning the border. “I’m more obsessed with what’s going on with the border these days,” he said in a recent interview. The “Could Ebola sneak across” link Rivera specifically referred to in his tweet directs Drudge readers to an article at the right-wing World Net Daily.

Karl Rove, former adviser to president George W. Bush, unleashed on Republicans and conservatives Tuesday who he says “helped” Democrats and the White House by calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. Referring to Obama as the “cynic in chief,” Rove said on Fox News’s On the Record that Obama is “suggesting a constitutional crisis” in an effort to “fatten the accounts of Democratic fundraising groups.” White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said last week that Congressional Republicans may take the path to impeach Obama. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has denied that he would seek impeachment. GOP House Majority Leader

A top official at the Environmental Protection Agency said Wednesday he is troubled by a lack of trust from Republicans concerning the EPA’s new climate rule and plan to regulate smaller bodies of water. EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe said he is trying to “build a bridge” with Republicans. “I can tell you my boss [EPA Administrator] Gina McCarthy would want nothing more than to build credibility with Congress,” Perciasepe said during a hearing at the House Small Business Committee. Perciasepe plans to leave the EPA next month, but before he takes off he has been making the rounds in Congress, offering to

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon called on Israel on Thursday to do more to protect civilian life during its military operations in Gaza, saying the conflict was taking too high a toll on civilians. "The civilian casualties in Gaza have been too high. And it´s become clear that the Israelis need to do more to live up to their very high standards - their very high and very public standards - for protecting civilian life," Pentagon spokesman Colonel Steve Warren said at a news briefing. Gaza officials say more than 1,370 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed in the
