The Palestinian ‘Genocide’ Lie
National Review Online, by Jonah Goldberg

Original Article

Posted By:geo11, 7/16/2014 4:49:29 AM

‘Here’s the difference between us,” Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained on Fox News Sunday. “We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians, and they’re using their civilians to protect their missiles.” It’s a classic talking point. It’s also objectively true, and that truth is very frustrating for Israel’s critics. All one needs to do is delve into the muck of Twitter and read the timelines for such hashtags as #GazaUnderAttack and #GenocideInGaza: “They’re killing the women and children to ensure there won’t be a new generation of Palestine.” “One Holocaust can NEVER justify another.”

Comments:
The Palestinian people tolerate and support their terrorist state. They should suffer the consequences and Israel needs not apologize for collateral damage. Israel has the right to exist in peace.

IF Israel loses.......USA IS NEXT PEOPLE. Wake the heck up. Bibi is the one person who makes sense in this insanity. Our enemy is ISLAM and they have VOWED and mean to destroy Israel (which is what they are trying to do now) and USA. They´ve said it, they´ve promised it, yet we have morons over here who refute it time and time again in the face of Islam´s constant maiming and murders throughout the world. Shame on you who defend the wicked. "Woe unto them who call good evil and evil good."

One of the most revealing things about the Left has always been its eager support of Hitler´s spawn, aka "the Palestinians".

Take it easy, #1. Israel´s NOT going to lose--they have God on their side. Now the good ol´ US of A may (and probably will) lose, but Israel will still be standing because God keeps His promises.

The lib mindset on this conflict is just like every other issue they get wrong. They refuse to listen to facts. They get all wee-wee´d up on feelings and just see one side of any issue, the progressive side. This, like all of our problems in this country, stem from the fact that progressives refuse to face reality and have compulsion to reject anyone who has faith in God. All the points in Mr. Goldberg´s truthful article don´t get a hearing from the left because their minds are closed to reason. Of course, any rational person can see who the obstacle is in forging a pathway to co-existence and it is not the Israeli´s. The Palestinians mindset would be exposed if the enabling left would engage in some much needed critical thinking.

I agree with #3.

Islam seems to me to be a religion of lies, as the truth is rarely spoken by their leaders even if it is to their advantage...much like Obie.

I am afraid the day is approaching the USA, when a event will occur that will make 9-11 look like child´s play. With Obama at the helm it is most likely...he has over two years left. How tragic that it will take a catastrophe to bring reality to our leaders and the press. We are lead by fools. God help us.

The success of the propaganda war against Israel is stunning. I wonder how much of that success is the byproduct of the American Left´s propaganda war against what they call the "Right" in the US.

Im a big time Obunghole critic and anti-communist.... But I dont buy Goldberg´s story. Too many Jewish human rights groups are presenting evidence of Israel´s dirty dealing over several decades now. I confess that I am a recovering Zionist. And yes, I have been to Israel/Palestine several times to see for myself. If you believe in property rights and secure borders, then consider this: illegal immigrants swarming over by the tens of thousands, lured by the promise of free stuff. USA or Palestine? Hmm. Similarities are mind boggling. We always complain about how our govt has lied to us 8 ways from sunday, but all of a sudden we are being told the "truth" about Israel and Palestine? Zochrot, Machsom Watch, B´Tselem, Peace Now..... All tell the same story and are all run by Israeli Jews. And Kairos Palestine is run by Palestinian CHRISTIANS, 99.5% of whom are either Greek Orthodox or Catholic. Of course, that is a problem for evangelicals who don´t believe that those two groups are Christians at all, but pagans.... and who also think Christianity is a European religion started the 1500s. God gave "the land" to ALL of Abraham´s children...not just some of them, but the gift was conditional. Disobedience and relapsing into idolatry voided the covenant and a New Covenant was given, in Jesus Christ, who said, "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Children of God." He also said that children of Abraham could be made raised up from stones, dismissing special privileges attached to that appellation. Think for yourselves and stop blindly supporting a country that, like Obama, violently attacks any who criticize or dissent.

Biblically, the land belongs to Israel. Also, biblically, people have been trying to wipe out the Jews since Creation. It´s not going to happen.

One would, if one informed oneself, realize by now that the Israelites, now called simply, "the Jews", are not going anywhere the so-called Palestinians and others want them to go.

Over the eons, people far more powerful than Hamas have tried to wipe them off the face of the earth. All have failed.

Granted that in modern times many high-profile Jews such as Rahm Emmanuel, Paul Krugman, Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner & Co. (not to mention criminals who are overrepresented in white collar crimes, sex crimes, pornography, and the degradation of the culture via the entertainment media) have not endeared themselves to most people the world over, Jews are still God´s chosen people, Atheist and Muslim objections notwithstanding.

Christians already know this, which is why it´s so ironic that the best friend Israel has are mainly Christians who have not swallowed their denominational Church´s lies about Israel being the aggressor. (Recent Presbyterian and Methodist hierarchy decisions about Israel are shockingly ignorant and venal.)

Amen to #5. I don´t think the USA is going to escape God´s anger. How can he bless us when we´ve made fetal murder legal and many now believe gay marriage is simply ´peachy keen´? His Son´s Name is becoming unmentionable in an increasing number of venues. I also think we are due for a ´Big One´ that will make 9/11 look like a day at the beach. God has removed His hedge of protection around our country; we don´t have far to look to figure out why.
I know that He installs governments and I believe that Obama is only one of the punishments that he has in store for us.

Remember when Barry said off the cuff on national TV that the US could sustain more attacks? Given the hordes of imported muzzies and the number of prayer rugs being found on the southern border, expect those attacks in the next 2-1/2 years. That´s why there´s peanuts for border security in that $4B Barry wants the country to borrow from the rest of the world.

America is suddenly angry at the laxity, incompetence, and polarizing politics of the Obama administration, the bad optics of the president putting about in his bright golf clothes while the world burns. Certainly, no recent president has failed on so many fronts — honesty, transparency, truthfulness, the economy, foreign policy, the duties of the commander-in-chief, executive responsibilities, and spiritual leadership. For those who are “shocked” at the present meltdown, of a magnitude not seen since the annus horribilis of 1979, in their defense: Obama certainly did not campaign on a new health-care plan that would force Americans to give up the

For the left, American power must never be exercised except in the direst of situations, and even then, it must not be a unilateral exercise of power. This is the logic underlying the White House response to ISIS, or the Islamic State, as it calls itself. At this time, the U.S. military has the capacity to obliterate this gang of thugs with a relatively modest projection of force. If the administration continues to drag its feet, it will be much harder. Yet Obama continues to drag his feet, because he believes that America “leads from behind.”

Challenging times call for extraordinary courage. But at the risk of sounding indelicate, the only cojones associated with President Obama are the ones lined up on the putting green, where his frequent appearances have given rise to a new meaning of the term “stay the course.” You’d think the so-called leader of the free world would at least sound courageous. But at recent press conferences, Mr. President has sauntered in, often late, leaned nonchalantly on the podium, and delivered a lackluster “lecture” in a tone of voice more peremptory than somber. His record for ambiguity and dullness reached a nadir of

August 22 is another deadline for the Obama administration’s IRS officials to come clean about their clear malfeasance in office. Judge Emmet Sullivan, who has acted sua sponte to compel IRS officials to provide all the details surrounding the “lost” e-mails, has the reputation of a judicial pit bull, a federal judge who insists that his orders and his office be treated with proper respect. Placing himself directly in the middle of this scandal, Judge Sullivan has removed the favored riposte by the left: attack the questioner. And what a significant factor this is! Whether we call it getting out the vote, having a great “ground game” or just turnout, it can make or break an election. But while the phrase “getting out the vote” is well understood, there is a lesser known election strategy: getting in the vote. What’s the difference?
