Eric Holder Hears ´Echoes of Injustices

U.S. News & World Report, by Steven Nelson

Attorney General Eric Holder gave a history lesson coupled with an appraisal of current events Tuesday to an audience gathered at Howard University to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Holder recapped African-American history beginning with the 1619 arrival of slaves in the British colonies and emphasized gains following the Civil War and the 1960s civil rights movement. He warned, however, that the uplifting tale of progress doesn´t mean the country is free of racism. “We must never hesitate to confront the fact, the undeniable truth, that in too many places across this nation that I love –

A liar, serving under a liar, abusing his power to protect liars and prosecute truth-tellers, while attempting to enslave an entire nation under an ideology that is a lie.

Apart from that, Attorney General Contempt is just peachy.

I´m tired of hearing about racism and injustice. You´d think these so-called leaders of the black community would have a better message than what we hear every day.

Every "African-American" person in this country today should be glad that he or she was born here, and not in Africa.

Did the No-Justice Holder include in his history lesson that demonrats were vehemently against the Civil Rights Act and that they were active members of the KKK?

JERUSALEM—A Hamas force wearing Israeli army uniforms emerged from a tunnel inside Israel this morning and inflicted losses on Israeli troops before being wiped out. The Hamas squad numbered at least 10 fighters, Israeli sources said. Nine were killed but an Israeli officer said at least two may have escaped through the tunnel. In initial accounts, which gave conflicting narratives, the Hamas force was said to have emerged from a hidden tunnel on the Israeli side of the border only 200 yards from a kibbutz, and split into two groups. Israeli soldiers whom one group encountered shortly afterwards reportedly took them to

The Progressive mantra of “diversity is our strength” is one of the most honored catchphrases of the left. Like all slogans, it is a test to see if common folk are “gun-toting, Bible-clinging” Neanderthals or are they part of the enlightened, educated elites to whom the rest of us must surrender our individual beliefs, opinions, and thoughts. But as with all that the Progressives say, the meaning of the words being used is warped and misrepresented. For example, think about what Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz is saying in the following: Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who ´get it!´

I’m the editor here at AT who handled M Catherine Evans’ “Americans Protest Illegals as High-Profile Conservatives Pander,” the piece that opened the second – or maybe third – front in the conservative civil war this Monday. That submission came in relatively late on Sunday. Monday’s article schedule was already set. But I put it up anyway, shifting another piece to do it. I made sure it went in for Monday even though, for technical reasons, I had to reenter it twice into the publishing system. I made sure it went in because of what it says about the nature of conservatism

Want to get a new angle on Obama´s Hope and Change mantra? Longshoreman philosopher Eric Hoffer wrote the book about it before Obama was even born: The Ordeal of Change. [E]very radical adjustment is a crisis in self-esteem... It needs inordinate self-confidence to face drastic change without inner trembling. “Action,” wrote Hoffer, “is the most obvious way by which to gain confidence and prove our worth... [but] there must be an abundance of opportunities, and there must be a tradition of self-reliance” for a program of action to work. A pernicious, little-known Obama administration policy – one that that incentivizes adult illegal immigrants to use children as human shields to escape arrest and deportation at the border – largely has escaped the media’s notice. This same policy is driving the historic surge of children at the border, as everyone from coyotes to illegal immigrant adults already in America seeks to use children to guarantee their safe passage into the country, or to protect them from deportation if they are illegally living here. The flood of illegal immigrant children, piling up like human debris on the US border, won’t stop

The three-day trip had been billed as an Israeli reset—the newly reelected president’s bid for a clean slate with the Jewish state after four years of icy relations. Obama would lay a wreath at the tomb of Theodor Herzl, the father of Zionism. He would visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. He would address an auditorium packed with Israeli students.
