Israel’s vow to strengthen attacks
against Hamas in Gaza puts
U.S. in tough position

Washington Post, by Anne Gearan

Israel’s pledge to intensify its military operation in the Gaza Strip could hasten the moment when the Obama administration will be forced to decide whether to use its leverage to corral its closest ally in the Middle East. Israeli officials, in a series of television interviews, statements and social-media venues, said Tuesday that Hamas’s rejection of a cease-fire offer validated the force it has used over eight days of conflict and made legitimate their argument for a wider military effort. The Obama administration appeared to accept that rationale, blaming the armed Islamist movement in Gaza for missing an opportunity to

It doesn´t put the American people in a tough position but it makes the DIC look like a cowardly, spineless lizard who doesn´t know what real leadership looks like.

He´s openly on the side of the jihadis but is afraid to admit it so he´s going on vacation to hope the whole mess will blow over while he´s gone.

As usual, the WaPo headline has it completely bass-ackwards, Hamas started sending rockets, Israel is defending herself, and Hamas rejected a ceasefire. Israel only stated they would continue to defend themselves.

Barack 0bama puts the U.S. in tough position, because he always supports the lying Muslims.

Obama immigration delay means
60,000 to be deported by November
Washington Times, by Stephen Dinan    Original Article

Nearly 60,000 immigrants will be deported before November elections if the government holds its pace, and many of them might have earned tentative legal status had President Obama taken unilateral action to halt deportations. Mr. Obama’s decision to put off any action until after midterm elections, which the White House leaked Saturday hours before he announced it himself in an interview with NBC, was mocked by Republicans and enraged immigrant rights groups, who said they felt betrayed after throwing their support to the president in the 2012 election. In the near term, it could help several vulnerable Senate Democrats who

President Obama appeared on Meet the Press this morning with new host Chuck Todd. The conversation focused primarily on ISIS, Iraq and Syria. Much could be said about Obama’s comments, but what struck me most was how disassociated from reality Obama appears to be–both when he defends his own record, and when he talks about foreign policy. Obama repeated the spin, first floated by White House spokesman Josh Earnest, that when he talked dismissively of “jayvee” terrorist groups he wasn’t referring to ISIS: CHUCK TODD: Long way, long way from when you described them as a JV team. Immigrant-rights groups reacted furiously Saturday after the White House made clear President Obama will not take unilateral action on immigration before November’s elections, nodding at the political realities of the issue as he punted on the key policy questions. With a number of key Senate races in GOP-leaning states, Democrats had feared that action now would anger voters and cost them control of the upper chamber, and had privately begged the White House to hold off on any move to halt deportations. But immigration activists said it’s the latest in a series of moves by Mr. Obama to shove their

Unless bundled cable providers find a way to move their racket online, the demographic reality of younger people moving online looms as an existential threat to the most lucrative business in entertainment and the news media. In just four years the median age of the average television viewer jumped a whopping 6% to 44.4 years old. Six-percent is not a gradual jump. That´s a leap -- even over 4 years. The four major broadcast networks are in even worse shape. The average age of the NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX viewer is 53.9 year-old, a 7% jump in four years.

Bill O’Reilly came under criticism from the Obama administration this week for stating that Jen Psaki, spokesperson for the State Department, “looks way out of her depth” and that “just the way she delivers, she doesn’t look like she has the gravitas for the job.” The criticism was delivered by Psaki’s deputy, Marie Harf, who claimed that O’Reilly’s comments are sexist because she doesn’t “actually [doesn´t] think [he] would ever use [those words] about a man.” O’Reilly’s actions are “not ok,” Harf lectured. Harf, who makes Psaki look intellectually hefty, should think again. O’Reilly has used similar words to disparage

The south is weighing this country down. Nowhere in the U.S. are Americans more overweight than in Mississippi and West Virginia, where more than 35 percent of the adult population is now obese, according to a new report from the Trust for America´s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The two southern states, however, are hardly alone in their alarmingly high obesity rates—another 18 U.S. states, including just about all of the U.S. south, have obesity rates at or above 30 percent. The exceptions are few and far in between. Only seven U.S. states and one district—Vermont, Montana, Utah,

At his first press briefing after the beheading of American James Foley, President Obama stunned the assembled when he admitted that he had no strategy for confronting ISIS, a.k.a. the Islamic State, in Syria. Yet it was not nearly the most egregious, or consequential, thing he said. Idiotic, yes. You’re the leader of the free world. Even if you don’t have a strategy — indeed, especially if you don’t — you never admit it publicly. However, if Obama is indeed building a larger strategy, an air campaign coordinated with allies on the ground, this does take time. George W. Bush

The word of the day is herky-jerky, which is a polite way of saying erratic. And which, I regret to report, is a fitting description of President Obama’s handling of immigration. And, I regret even more, a metaphor for his stumbling stewardship. o recap and add perspective: The country’s immigration policy is broken, with 11 million undocumented immigrants forced to live in the shadows. That this situation endures is the fault of House Republicans who, captive to a gerrymandered, cable-inflamed populace that greets every reasonable solution with cries of “amnesty,” have rejected any comprehensive solution. That’s been obvious to many of us for months, but despite the naming of a select committee by the U.S. House of Representatives to investigate what could have happened, what should have happened,
