As of Tuesday morning, Charitybuzz.com said the top offer was $52,500, with two days left in the bidding. "Meet President Barack Obama and Have Dinner with Other Hollywood Elite on July 23rd at

What could be more perfect - a show whose title is a reflection of the Obama administration!

"Proceeds from the auction will support the Democratic National Committee with Mercy Mission Bear Hospital and Adoption Agency."

I googled the "charity."

"Mercy Mission Bear Hospital and Adoption Agency" has as it´s core mission the desire to receive, repair and bring back to life discarded, and no longer wanted teddy bears, to share with those ill and lonely.

Oscar winner and comedian Robin Williams died this morning at 63. While his publicist wouldn’t confirm that it was a suicide, they did issue this statement. “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.” Williams, who won an Oscar for his supporting role in Good Will Hunting, will reprise his role as Theodore Roosevelt in the third installment of Night at the Museum this December. UNCONFIRMED reports suggest troops loyal to controversial Iraqi PM Nuri al-Maliki have sealed off Baghdad’s “Green Zone” in an apparent coup. “There is a huge security presence, police and army, especially around the Green Zone,” the highly-protected district that houses Iraq’s key institutions, a high-ranking police officer has confirmed to AFP. He said the deployment started at around 10:30 pm Iraq time, just 90 minutes before Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced on state television he would file a complaint against the president for violating the constitution. “There is security everywhere in Baghdad, these are very unusual measures that look like

Former Vice President Dick Cheney lashed out again at President Barack Obama on Sunday, repeatedly accusing him of projecting "weakness" abroad and "crippling" the U.S. military. The frequent Obama critic told radio show host and GOP megadonor John Catsimatidis that he traces "most" of the problems of Washington to the current administration. "They can´t blame George Bush anymore," Cheney quipped on AM 970 The Answer´s "The Cats Roundtable." "I think he´s been a failure as a president. I think the scandals, wth respect to the Veterans Administration, with respect to the IRS, these are bad situations."

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton drew a foreign policy line between herself and President Obama in an interview this week, saying the President should have assisted Syrian rebels early in the bloody three-year conflict there, and issuing a dig at his administration’s minimalist doctrine. The Obama administration’s wariness about assisting rebels out of fear aid would fall into the hands of extremists was misguided and ineffectual, Clinton said in an interview with The Atlantic, and allowed for the rise of Islamic extremists who are now threatening to take over wide swathes of Iraq. “The failure to help build up

Elections matter. President Obama proves it every day as he willfully seeks to wreck our nation. But this is very evident elsewhere, too. The 2010 elections reversed decades of Democrat majority control in state houses. Since then, GOP governors and legislatures all over the country have been restoring sanity to state government. Most Americans don’t know this of course, because the media won’t tell you. One good example is North Carolina. Republicans took over the North Carolina legislature in 2010, and Charlotte’s popular Republican mayor, Pat McCrory, won the governor’s mansion in 2012. This gave the GOP full

Although far from central to the ongoing Hamas-Israel hostilities, the United Nations has nonetheless inflicted substantial damage to its own reputation and credibility. So outrageously have several U.N. institutions behaved, before and during the current Gaza crisis, that the United States can no longer ignore or excuse it. Congress must act to defund U.N. bodies that perform unacceptably — thereby denying them the resources and the legitimacy of American support and putting other U.N. agencies on notice they could face a similar fate. Three U.N. agencies in particular have demonstrated serious, sustained bias against both Israel and the United States, starting

Clinton´s book has no reference of any kind to U.S. involvement in the creation of ISIS or plans to recognize it as a legitimate organization. The media reports said that the United

It’s a sad reality that Clinton, despite her great success, must address the issues of sexism and physical appearance in every interview – imagine if a male politician was quoted encouraging men to throw down their grooming kits and just ‘go for it’, it’s laughable, right? But until women are judge only on their achievements and conduct, until the media’s obsession with women´s physical appearance wanes, it’s a conversation we still need to have. And it is the Hillarys, the Sheryls, Malalas and Julias who keep this conversation alive publicly on our behalf. Having read the former US Secretary of State’s

A likeness of Obama with a party hat on his head then appeared, although the mouth area was made to look like that of a monkey - and a banana repeatedly moved into the mouth. The series of projections are then repeated several times. A group calling itself The Moscow Student Initiative

The decision by Sen. John Walsh (D-Mont.) not to seek election in November in the wake of a plagiarism scandal is the latest piece of good news for Republicans as they strive to take control of the Senate in less than three months. Walsh’s departure from the race came in the same week that two Republican senators — Pat Roberts in Kansas and Lamar Alexander in Tennessee — defeated tea party challengers in primary fights, ensuring that every GOP senator seeking reelection would be the party’s nominee. These past seven days typified the fates of the two parties this election

Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists. Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries

A terrifying jihadist group is conquering and butchering its way across big swaths of Iraq and Syria. Planes are falling out of the sky on what seems like a weekly basis. Civilians are being killed in massive numbers in the Israel-Gaza conflict. Others are falling prey to Ebola in West Africa. The world, in short, is falling apart. When he was running for re-election in 2012, President Barack Obama repeatedly took credit for ending the war in Iraq and bringing all U.S. troops home from that country. At the White House on Saturday, however, when talking about his decision to use military force against the al-Qaida-related ISIS terrorist group in Iraq, Obama said removing all U.S. troops from Iraq was not “my decision.” “You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” Obama said in Hollywood, Florida on Nov. 4, 2012. “I said I´d end the war in Iraq. A 40-year political career came to a close after Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie lost his bid for a second term in a stunning primary-election defeat by a fellow Democrat and state senator who defied party leadership to challenge the incumbent. A second intraparty fight for U.S. Senate was too close to call. State Sen. David Ige, once seen as an underdog, cruised to a decisive 35 percentage point win in Saturday´s primary after being dramatically outspent by Abercrombie, who also had high-profile endorsements including President Barack Obama. Ige said his win "proves that people power can be money power, especially in Hawaii."

An Isis commander at a terrorist training camp north of Baghdad accidentally detonated a belt packed with explosives during a demonstration in front of a group militants on Monday, killing himself and 21 nearby trainees. The accident was a source of dark humour for locals, with suicide attacks in public spaces having become an almost daily occurrence in Iraq. A bomber struck a falafel shop near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad last week, and when told of the bungled training demonstration by the New York Times, Raad Hashim, who works at a liquor store near the site of

As soon as he won his Senate primary election against conservative Joe Carr, Alexander said it was "embarrassing" that Republicans have not yet passed a bill. Never mind that Alexander spent nearly his entire primary campaign trying to convince voters that he was against "amnesty" and would never dare to embrace it before the primary election. “I don’t know how it will affect our politics in the near term," Alexander told Politico of a comprehensive immigration bill. “I think it’s embarrassing for us not to deal with the problem, and
