A Defense of Reproductive Rights
New York Times, by Editorial

Facing a torrent of state laws restricting access to safe and legal abortions, supporters of a woman’s right to make her own childbearing decisions have been forced to play a defensive game — trying to block enactment of the laws, and, when that doesn’t work, challenging them in court. An important hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday could begin to move the dynamics of the fight in a positive direction. The subject of the hearing is the Women’s Health Protection Act, a vital measure that would safeguard the reproductive rights of women all across the nation, regardless of where

If a woman wants to ´kill´ her unborn child, it is on her head! But don´t expect me to condone, or pay for it!

That is the real issue here, is getting the Taxpayers to make it free!

Hobby Lobby is NOT about contraception. It is about employer funded abortion. NYT should make that clear before they attempt to say anything on this subject. But that would defeat the very purpose they have in mind. Wouldn´t it?

Maybe I´m crazy but I think it´s a pretty good idea to require a physician to have hospital privileges if he´s going to perform abortions. I don´t know if it needs to be put into law, but it´s not oppressive.

Why is it that states can put all kinds of restrictions on gun ownership--an explicit Constitutional right--but none on abortions (a right found by the Supreme Court that is not explicit or even implied in the Constitution)?
There are health and safety concerns regarding abortions--for the unborn baby as well as the mother. Does the name Dr. Gosnell ring a bell?

There have been over 56,994,000 completely helpless and innocent little souls slaughtered in The United States since the totally wicked Roe v Wade Supreme Court Decision on January 22, 1973---And what does the Editorial Board of America´s leading left-wing "fish wrapper" and "birdcage liner," The New York Times, have to offer---"A Defense Of Reproductive Rights."

As it is written---"Liberalism is truly a mental disorder."

Women have always had "reproductive rights" and once they accept a man in their bed they have made their choice. What the relative humanist socialists really want is unreproductive sex. In God´s plan for humanity the purpose for sexual intercourse is to produce children within a committed marriage, not for personal pleasure or as a recreational activity. The hedonistic philosophy is contrary to God´s plan and is the tool of Satan to separate man from his God, to separate childbearing from marriage, and to destroy the family.

We are reaping the whirlwind from accepting the social onslaught of the 1960´s which under the guise of "compassion" promoted no-fault divorce, free love, non-marital cohabitation, contraception and abortion. All these issues were condemned by the Catholic Church who understood the evil it would unleash on society. But, Pope Paul VI was vilified and the Church was criticized as being patriarchal, anti-woman, out-of-touch, controlling, and responsible for all the ills of the world. That prejudice is now on steroids and on display (even here) every day.

Democrats want all the rights, feedom and liberty to do whatever they want (and have someone else foot the bill), but they just don´t want God being the one providing those rights.
Our rights come from God, rights protected by and stated by the Declaration of Independence. This is what makes us all created equal. Why my opinion is just as valid as that loser in the White House.
Hey Democrats, you can´t have it both ways; enjoying the rights given to you by God then ignoreing God when you want to live self-indulgent perverted lifestyles.

Want to have sex but not get pregnant, both use a contraceptive.

Want to have sex without contraceptive, congratulations, odds are you are going to be a mother.

Want to kill you unborn child, don´t look to us for moral or financial support.

They know they are just spinning their wheels. Must have nothing better to do.

The bill stands little chance of enactment in this Congress, given the upcoming midterm elections and Republican control of the House. Still, as Mr. Blumenthal notes, the hearing can serve a valuable purpose if it alerts legislators and the public to a pernicious charade by removing the “patina of respectability” from what are essentially phony restrictions of no medical value.

It also alerts the public to the culture of death that exists in the House, Senate and elsewhere in the Obama administration.

When Pat Roberts faced a conservative primary challenge this summer, he did what most Republican senators have learned to do: turn hard right. Now, facing an unexpectedly strong independent challenge, Roberts is doubling down. On Thursday, the three-term Kansas senator turned to tea party darling Sarah Palin to rally voters behind his flagging campaign. The former Alaska governor praised Roberts for standing with Sen. Ted Cruz a year ago during his marathon floor speech against President Obama´s healthcare law, which preceded a strategy that resulted in a government shutdown. President Obama has put America at the center of a widening war by expanding into Syria airstrikes against the Islamic State, the Sunni extremist group known as ISIS and ISIL. He has done this without allowing the public debate that needs to take place before this nation enters another costly and potentially lengthy conflict in the Middle East. He says he has justification for taking military action against the Islamic State and Khorasan, another militant group. But his assertions have not been tested or examined by the people’s representatives in Congress. How are Americans to know whether they have the information
