Progressives turn from Obama

Washington Post, by Robert Costa

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Populist Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) got a rock-star reception during a standing-room-only campaign rally here Monday, as hundreds of liberal activists cheered her broadsides against corporate interests and voiced hopes that her presence might shift the political winds in an increasingly Republican state. The rally on behalf of Senate candidate Natalie Tennant was the latest in a string of recent Warren appearances in red and blue states alike, where Democratic base voters have embraced her fiery message as an envoy to working-class voters frustrated with both Wall Street and the Obama administration. “Our job is to fight for the

Natalie Tennant is an empty-headed cliche-toting no-hoper. Warren is welcome to waste her time.

There´s only one clean, black, articulate candidate/president, but we´ve always had a surfeit of desiccated lefty battle-axe white women with voices like icepicks. Warren´s only function is to demonstrate that the Democrat cupboard is B-A-R-E.

Lieawartha will not have the free past Obambi received. She is the ultimate Dem candidate thought. No accomplishments and her rise is directly proportional to her lies about her Indian heritage and quota s she received from those lies. Her uber liberal stance on a variety of issues will make her candidacy dicey for Dems in anything but fascist/socialist states. But she is the best the Dems have to offer and hopefully the Dem base will get her nominated.

Progressives are natural born liars, and they love politicians who can throw out the outrageous lie and somehow get away with it. Meaning it will be a tough choice in 2016 between Hillary and this Warren fraud.

Fauxcahontas ... Lieawatha ... Sacaga-no-wea ... this woman with the invisible high cheekbones is not only an affirmative action hire--she is a phony one who nonetheless managed to lie her way onto the Harvard Law faculty, and they´re too guild-riden to admit that she isn´t an American Indian and wash their hands of her. She might have bamboozled a majority of midnight blue Massachusetts voters--that´s really tough to do, isn´t it?--but I doubt a left fringe character like her would get far nationwide, especially after all the damage Obama has done.

With all apologies to Longfellow:
By the shore of Gitchie Gumee,
Queen of failing Massachusetts,
At the doorway of her wigwam,
In the pleasant Summer morning,
Lieawatha stood and waited.
All the air was full of envy,
Greey for redistribution,
And before her through the sunshine,
Eyeing profits of their neighbors´
Unrelenting, ceaseless labors,
Massed in golden swarms, the TAKERS,
Passed the toiling money-makers,
Burning torches in the moonlight.
Bright above them shone the heavens,
Horrified at communism,
Weeping over the destruction
Of a once-proud sovereign nation.
On its margin the great forest
Hides the masses of illegals,
Lured by promises of riches,
Stolen from the hands of others.
In the mind of Lieawatha
Thoughts of silencing opponents ,
Dreams of worshipping Alinsky.
The "wife" of conquest of Lewinsky,
Evil smile of joy and triumph,
With a look of exultation,
As of one who in a vision
Sees what is to be, and cackled,
Backed and and funded Lieawatha.

The violent advances of Islamic militants in Iraq is not an isolated problem but rather a “growing global challenge” that needs to be dealt with, the top American general in Iraq told Army Times. “We must neutralize this enemy,” said Army Lt. On the day that sired the flames that came to consume his presidency, Richard Nixon stirred slowly and didn’t sit for breakfast until after 8 a.m. The White House was filled with relatives and friends that Sunday morning. They had gathered for his daughter Tricia’s wedding, which had taken place the previous evening among the blossoms in the misty Rose Garden (and amid anxious consultations with Air Force meteorologists). The affair was “a fairyland” to rival Christmas, an enchanted Rose Mary Woods, Nixon’s longtime secretary, told him. Nixon and his family rifled through the newspaper coverage of the ceremony. About a month after asking states for help finding temporary shelter for undocumented child migrants—sparking much handwringing over the issue—the federal government now says it no longer needs the help. In a Tuesday afternoon letter, a federal Health and Human Services official thanked Massachusetts for its offer of assistance, writing that “HHS is no longer seeking facilities for temporary shelters for unaccompanied children at this time,” due to a decline in the number of unaccompanied children apprehended by and in the custody of Customs and Border Protection. “Thank you for your offer of two Massachusetts facilities to assist with the humanitarian response

A second American infected with the potentially deadly Ebola virus arrived at Emory University Hospital on Tuesday from Africa, following the first patient last weekend. Both were greeted by a team of highly trained physicians and nurses, a specialized isolation unit, extensive media coverage, and a storm of public reaction. People responded viscerally on social media, fearing that we risked spreading Ebola to the United States. At this writing, there have been 1,603 reported cases in Africa and 887 deaths. That’s too many. But every day about 600 sub-Saharan Africans die of tuberculosis, and contagious diarrhea

Grand jurors charged Perry, 63, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official. The indictments stemmed from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.2 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget. The money was earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit, which is housed in Lehmberg’s office. Perry’s veto forced

A grand jury in Travis County, Texas, indicted Governor Rick Perry today. Why? For exercising his constitutional prerogative by threatening to veto, and then vetoing, an appropriation to support the public corruption unit in Travis County’s district attorney’s office. This followed the arrest of the county’s district attorney, Democratic Party activist Rosemary Lehmberg, for drunk driving, after she was found “with an open bottle of vodka in the front passenger seat of her car in a church parking lot in Austin.” Ms. Lehmberg served 45 days in jail. The Travis County district attorney’s office has long been a cesspool of corruption.

The scandal that erupted Friday night involved millions of dollars, statehouse power plays—oh yeah, and alcohol, police, and masks. Texas Governor Rick Perry was indicted Friday on charges of abuse of power—a first degree felony—and coercion—a third degree felony. The charges stem from a 2013 scandal that has been quietly rumbling in the Lone Star State as Perry has been floated as a viable contender for the Republican nomination in 2016. This is a complex case, which might be why it has not made national headlines the way other recent, state-level scandals (like Bridgegate, in New Jersey) have. Below, I have outlined
