Jon Karl Lists Everything Going
Wrong With Obama Foreign Policy

Washington Free Beacon, by Staff

ABC News’ Jon Karl rattled off an extensive list of the White House’s foreign policy dilemmas during a press briefing with Press Secretary Josh Earnest, and asked, “Do you think the president’s foreign policy bears any responsibility for any of this or there’s anything that he can do about any of this?” Karl began by quoting Attorney General Eric Holder, who told ABC’s This Week the flow of Westerners into Syria is “more frightening than anything I think I’ve seen as attorney general.” Karl then cited foreign policy experts who told the Wall Street Journal, “The breadth of global instability now unfolding

Comments:
I´m surprised Karl hasn´t been told to shut up. He´s getting way too close to the truth. ABC News President Ben Sherwood´s sister, Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, is Special Assistant to Obama. Whatever that is. He just recently announced his intent nominate her as "Deputy Secretary, Department of Energy." That should give her unbridled power!

Rights activists called on Thursday for the immediate release of a transgender women allegedly raped by her cellmate at an Arizona immigrant detention center, accusing authorities of refusing to provide for her safety. The activists say immigration and detention center officials have shown they are incapable of protecting the 23-year-old woman following the alleged July 20 sexual assault at the Eloy Detention Center, southeast of Phoenix. The woman, Marichuy, whose legal name is Jesus Leal Gamino, has been detained for more than a year at the 1,437-detainee center, which is operated by Corrections Corporation of America under a contract with

Shame on Matt Drudge. The owner/operator of the world’s most influential news-aggregating website, The Drudge Report has torn a page from the William Randolph Hearst yellow journalism playbook to fan the flames of public hysteria about the surge of undocumented children immigrating to the United States. On Tuesday of this week, with explosive world crises involving Gaza and Ukraine dominating the news elsewhere, the first 15 stories on The Drudge Report and his banner headline all concerned that adolescent immigrant surge across our southern border. His millions of subscribers would be justified in thinking these undocumented immigrant children posed the greatest threat

O’Reilly: Why Can’t GOP Rise

Bill O’Reilly obviously doesn’t care for how President Obama and the Democrats are running things, but tonight he also had some tough words for the GOP. He asked guest Kate Obenshain why the Republicans continue to remain in the muck with the left and try to “destroy one another” instead of getting things done. O’Reilly asked, “Shouldn’t they rise above it?” Obenshain argued that it’s Democrats doing all the nasty politicking and name-calling, as well as the ginning up of impeachment. O’Reilly, however, noted some conservatives are bringing it up and said there’s “plenty of hate on both sides.” Obenshain objected, “No,

WASHINGTON – There were all the trappings of a campaign endorsement rally: the cheering crowds, the American flags, and the sitting president heaping praise on a fellow Democrat. All that was missing was the campaign. Three days after new Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro was sworn in, President Barack Obama paid a rare visit Thursday to the agency´s colossal concrete headquarters to welcome Castro aboard. In gushing terms, Obama lavished admiration on the fresh-faced former mayor who Democrats are already eyeing as a potential vice presidential candidate in 2016. "He´s young, he´s good-looking, he talks good. You can´t

Michael Scheuer, former head of the CIA´s Usama Bin Laden unit, pushed back against Bill Clinton´s contention that he could have killed Usama bin Laden, but chose not to because of the risk to civilians. Clinton´s statement came on the day before the 9/11 attacks at an address to Australian business leaders and the audio was obtained by Sky News Australia. "I´m just saying, you know, if I were Usama bin Laden -- he´s a very smart guy, I´ve spent a lot of time thinking about him -- and I nearly got him once," Clinton said on the recording. "I nearly got him.

On Fox News Friday, Geraldo Rivera got into it with former CIA official Michael Scheuer over newly surfaced recordings of former president Bill Clinton, in which he claims the day before 9/11 that he could have killed Osama bin Laden. In the tapes, Clinton says the reason he didn’t go in for the kill is that he would have had to “destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him (bin Laden).” Scheuer, identified as head of CIA’s bin Laden unit 1995-1999, disputed Clinton’s

This is straight out of The Onion. Except not. Author Robert Kessler claims in his new book The First Family Detail that Vice President Joe Biden enjoys a good swim, in the nude. The Daily News has details on the book, which publishes Aug. 5: “Agents say that, whether at the vice president’s residence or at his home in Delaware, Biden has a habit of swimming in his pool nude,” Kessler writes. “Female Secret Service agents find that offensive.” Kessler also cites a Secret Service agent as saying that being stuck on Biden’s detail is “considered the second worst assignment.” Covering former Secretary of State Hillary

There was high drama on the Senate floor this evening. Harry Reid brought on for a vote President Obama’s $2.7 billion proposal to support illegals from Central America who are flooding across the border, in the form of a supplemental budget request. An extremely knowledgeable Senate insider offers this blow-by-blow account of what happened: Harry Reid filled the amendment tree on the supplemental, meaning no amendments can get votes. Sessions offered a motion to table the filled tree with stated purpose of making room to get a vote on the Cruz amendment. “Filling the tree” has been Reid’s preferred strategy

The center’s rooms, called “suites,” have only been used to house adult illegal aliens in the past, but with the recent surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America, it will now be used to house kids too. KRGV’s story says that the illegal aliens will only be housed at the center for an average of 23 days, or that’s the federal government’s claim. The facility includes flatscreen TVs in each suite, plus ping pong

John Abizaid, criticized the Pentagon’s Quadrennial Defense Review for outlining military responsibilities that cannot be met because of sharp defense funding cuts. Conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status had their applications denied by IRS bureaucrats who called them names like “crazies,” “rabid” and other words that can’t be printed in a family newspaper. The tax agency is supposed to be run by nonpartisan, career professionals, but the latest set of emails released by the House Ways and Means Committee suggest the agency is anything but. Until the scandal erupted last year, Lois G. Lerner was in charge of the IRS division overseeing tax-exempt organizations. Congressional investigators have spent months sifting through her emails — the ones that didn’t “go missing” — to find out

On Tuesday a federal jury awarded Jesse Ventura $1.8 million in his case against Kyle’s widow. The former governor told CBS: “I’m already damaged. I can’t go to a SEAL reunion anymore. That was the one place I felt safe. I can’t go there anymore. I’ll be looking over my shoulder now wondering who’s going to come after me next. And, so don’t think I come out of this unscathed. All I wanted to do was clear my name and it has nothing to do with a widow or anything like that.

Perhaps it says something about us that our most interesting presidential candidates swear they won´t run for president. This is true of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and it´s increasingly true of Mitt Romney. As regular readers of this column know, I´ve never been much of a Romney booster. I´ve also expressed skepticism about the notion he would run again. But let´s not let "a foolish consistency" cloud our judgment. An independent panel appointed by the Pentagon and Congress said Thursday that President Obama’s strategy for sizing the armed services is too weak for today’s global threats. The National Defense Panel called on the president to dump a major section of his 2014 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) and write a broader strategy that requires the military to fight on multiple fronts at once. It also said the shrinking U.S. armed forces, which are being downsized to fit that strategy and budget cuts, is a “serious strategic misstep on the part of the United States.” The forces’ numbers spelled out in Mr. Obama’s
