Julianna Goldman, who endured a marriage to former FNC, MSNBC, Current and Al-Jazeera America host/reporter David Shuster, got married on Saturday, in Aspen, Colorado, to Michael Gottlieb, a former associate White House counsel for Obama. The New York Times reported on Sunday that Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, a former colleague of Gottlieb’s at the White House, “officiated.” Goldman was Bloomberg’s White House correspondent until a few weeks ago. “Next month,” the NY Times item noted, “she is to join CBS News as a television correspondent in its Washington bureau.” TVNewser today picked up on the July 13 Times item,

Juliana Goldman should continue CBS News´ tradition of not reporting on the various scandals and failures of the Obama administration. Plus, when she does her human interest pieces on how the Obamas are not materialistic and how they must force themselves to take a rare vacay, she´ll have the warm and friendly insider comments from Obama´s former WH counsel, now her husband. Can´t wait to see her first report from Obama´s $12 million mansion on the Vineyard.

Seriously, her latest husband´s former WH job means that Goldman can´t cover the growing list of scandals for CBS News because she would be accused of using insider information.

WASHINGTON — I talked to Robin Williams once, about breasts. In 1993, when he played a prim British nanny in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” I went to interview him at his Pacific Heights house. “It’s great to be this blue-mouthed old lady hitting on somebody,” he said, in his character’s soft Scottish burr, “opening your blouse and saying, ‘What about these? Behold my dirty pillows, my fun bags. Come nurse at the fountain of bliss.’ ”He was 42 then, wearing his Popeye outfit, a blue-striped T-shirt and black baggy jeans. Although investors hang on every comment by Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen to get insight on the direction of interest rates and what it means for the economy and asset prices, the real power to determine U.S. interest rates may be in the hands of China, according to Lombard Street Research. Facing an overvalued currency that is hurting corporate profits and slowing growth, China appears ready to dump its $1.3 trillion in U.S. Treasury bonds to drive U.S. interest rates up and strengthen the dollar. The secret to China’s spectacular growth beginning in the early 1990s was devaluing its currency

The duo discussed the shooting of Michael Brown and the days of riots that have followed — although Peterson wasn’t too keen on discussing the violence and looting at all. “I think first and foremost, for us to be outraged at the response to the murder of Michael Brown doesn’t make a lot of

The brutal terrorist organization known as ISIS or ISIL, made up of former al Qaeda fighters, has renamed itself the Islamic State. The name "Islamic State" is self-explanatory and was chosen based on the group´s goal of establishing a caliphate by conquering as much land in the middle east and around the world as possible, beheading and killing anyone standing in their way. Regardless of the terrorist group´s own classification and stated goals to implement and maintain an Islamist caliphate going back years, the Obama administration wasn´t worried about the "absurd" concept and had no plans to stop it from

The president who spent years touting the withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq suddenly has had to distance himself from that action. At the White House on Saturday morning — less than 48 hours after authorizing airstrikes against Islamist militants and humanitarian air drops to save the lives of trapped Iraqi civilians — President Obama blamed his predecessor, George W. Bush, for the absence of American troops in Iraq and rejected the assertion that he could have left a small peacekeeping force in the war-torn nation. President Obama must really be teed off. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his once-loyal secretary of state and his likeliest successor, has gone rogue, criticizing his foreign policy as too timid.
